Named: The forward Richard Hughes PREFERS to Rodrygo
Rodrygo on Liverpool's list Rodrygo is under contract until 2028 but in all honesty is probably free to find himself a new club this summer. His signing wouldn't be cheap - with the 15-time European champions demanding around €100m - and his wages would be very much in the blockbuster category. Rodrygo has been mostly fielded from the right over the last couple of years but in actual fact would be more at home on the left. He's got Vinicius Junior ahead of him in the pecking order there and has had to settle for a role on the other side of attack in recent seasons. Rodrygo is a familiar face to Liverpool recruiters - with the club having made an attempt to bring him to Anfield before he joined Real Madrid in 2029. Richard Hughes likes Bradley Barcola And tempting as it might be to revisit a long-standing target, sporting director Richard Hughes apparently has got a different player in mind for left wing. Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola featured extensively for the treble winners last season but has got some serious opposition to contend with at the Parc des Princes. The club signed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in January while Desire Doue has also come to the fore over the last 12 months. It leaves Barcola at risk of missing out on a starting berth in Luis Enrique's preferred XI - he started neither the Champions League final nor the FIFA Club World Cup final. © IMAGO - Bradley Barcola Liverpool Barcola deal difficult There have been links with both Bayern Munich and Liverpool this summer - although at the moment it doesn't appear Barcola is likely to go anywhere. The France international signed for PSG from Lyon back in 2023 for around €45m and is under contract until 2028. It would take a sizeable offer to even bring PSG to the table - but perhaps this is a transfer to circle back on down the line. 'Sporting director Richard Hughes is a big fan of PSG's Bradley Barcola, but knows the French club won't let him go this summer,' a report on ESPN states. Liverpool have already got Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike as options on the left for the season ahead - if Diaz goes. But if Richard Hughes gets any sort of encouragement from Barcola in the windows upcoming then Liverpool could be back with a bid.

Real Madrid have not received any official offer for Rodrygo yet, despite the great interest.
Will the Brazilian leave Real Madrid this summer? Real Madrid have not received any official offer for Rodrygo yet, despite the great interest. The case of Brazilian star Rodrygo is not yet closed with Real Madrid. Despite the interest of several major English clubs in the world, including English clubs such as Manchester City and Liverpool, official reports indicate that Real Madrid has not received any official offers to release the talented Brazilian player yet. It seems that the relationship between the two parties, Real Madrid and Rodrygo, is no longer what it was before, and that he will not be relied upon in the first team as he was in the past, so it is expected that the player will look for another option to represent him next season, away from the White Castle. Great interest but no real official offers Real Madrid set a non-negotiable €100 million release clause for the player. Sources close to the player say the player has received significant interest from numerous clubs around the world, including 11 top-flight Premier League clubs, as well as PSG. Despite the great interest from these clubs, none of these clubs have officially and truly approached the 24-year-old player. The Brazilian winger finds himself in limbo as potential suitors Arsenal and Liverpool appear to be pursuing alternative attacking options. While the Gunners showed strong initial interest, they've since shifted focus to securing Madueke and Gyokeres, reportedly deterred by Rodrygo's substantial salary requirements. Across Merseyside, Liverpool's transfer strategy has taken a different direction despite previous links to the Real Madrid forward. The Reds' acquisition of Ekitike and their persistent pursuit of Isak suggest their attacking reinforcements may already be taking shape, leaving Rodrygo's potential Anfield move in doubt. With the transfer window remaining open for several more weeks, the situation remains fluid. However, as preseason preparations intensify, the 23-year-old may need to focus on impressing Carlo Ancelotti at Valdebebas rather than anticipating an imminent departure from the Spanish capital.

From Crisis to Comeback: Mbappe's Health Scare Opens New Chapter
French star lost 6kg during Club World Cup illness—but could it actually benefit him? From Crisis to Comeback: Mbappe's Health Scare Opens New Chapter French superstar Kylian Mbappe faced severe health scare during the 2025 FIFA Club World cup but what seemed like setback may turn into unexpected advantage. While representing Real Madrid in the tournament held in the United States Mbappe was rushed to hospital with serious gastrointestinal infection. The illness left him exhausted and forced him to miss multiple games as he recovered under strict medical supervision. According to French outlet L'Equipe, the forward lost around 6 kilogram during the short illness period an observation fans quickly noticed once he returned to action with visibly leaner physique. Despite the alarming weight loss, Mbappe's recovery has been surprisingly quick & efficient thanks to physiological phenomenon known as "muscle memory". Well trained athletes like him can regain lost strength, speed and flexibility more rapidly after temporary decline in physical form. Not the First: Messi's 2014 Lesson Mbappe's case isn't unique. In 2014 Lionel Messi experienced similar struggles due to poor dietary habits. Spanish media revealed that Messi consumed double cheese pizza after games. His form dipped and Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d'or that year. Messi then turned to Italian nutritionist Giuliano Poser , cut out sugar and soda and lost over 3kg in 2015. He bounced back in prime form and reclaimed the Ballon d'Or.
