Teenage boy killed in Seremban hit-and-run accident
The incident occurred at 6.45 am along Jalan Temiang near the Bukit Jong junction.
Seremban police chief ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din confirmed the 17-year-old victim suffered severe head injuries and died at the scene.
'The collision occurred when the victim, who worked at a petrol station, was riding his Honda RS motorcycle from Temiang towards Seremban.
Upon reaching the scene, a Mercedes-Benz driven by a 27-year-old man is believed to have gone out of control and veered into the opposite lane before colliding head-on with the victim,' he said in a statement today.
The driver fled the scene, leaving his car behind.
Police are actively searching for the suspect and have urged the public to assist.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigating officer Insp G Sankar at 014-6000353 or the nearest police station.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. – Bernama

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Lumpini Police Station Pol Col Yingyos Suwanno said the suspect is a 30-year-old man from Sa Kaeo province, who allegedly attacked the victims out of frustration over being unemployed. He attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by members of the public nearby. Four Individuals Arrested In Thailand Returned To Malaysia
KOTA BHARU, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have confirmed that four of six individuals held by the Thai authorities over drug related offences have been returned to Malaysia today. Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed when contacted by Bernama today that Mohd Affendi Ahmad, 35, Eridieka Mohd Noor, 33, Mohamad Alif Deraman, 33, and Zuhaira Nasrin, 26, returned to Malaysia this afternoon. Meanwhile, Kelantan police chief Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat said that the four were allowed to rejoin their families at 6.30 pm after spending about six hours giving their statements at the Kelantan contingent police headquarters today, adding that they tested negative for drugs.
