FS Unveils High-Density FTD Series WDM Platform: Six WDM Technologies Integrated in 1U for Maximum Rack Efficiency

Business Wire05-08-2025
NEW CASTLE, Del.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FS, a trusted provider of ICT products and solutions, announced the launch of its independently developed FTD Series, an ultra high-density WDM platform. The FTD Series features six WDM products and supports up to nine plug-in modules within just 1U of rack space. Designed to meet the growing demand for flexible, scalable, and space-efficient optical transport, the FTD Series is ideal for modern data centers, carrier networks, and enterprise environments.
The evolution of distributed cloud, edge computing, and AI workloads puts network operators under increasing pressure to make more efficient use of rack space and fiber resources. As backbone and metro aggregation nodes scale out to support higher service granularity, operators require modular WDM systems that can consolidate diverse wavelength types, simplify expansion, and reduce the physical footprint.
The FTD Series meets these demands with its various products and compact modular design. It primarily features 22 Mux Demuxes supporting DWDM, CWDM, LANWDM, or OWDM technologies, along with other FWDM filters and CEx WDM modules. Moreover, the FTD Series comprises a high-density 1U chassis that accommodates any combination of these modules—for example, up to nine 4-channel, six 8-channel, or three 16-channel Mux Demux units—delivering a 125% increase in integration density compared to previous platforms, which can meet both current and future capacity requirements.
Key Features of FTD Series:
Integration of Six WDM Technologies: Supports DWDM, CWDM, LANWDM, OWDM, FWDM, and CEx WDM technologies for flexible combination. Ultra High-Density Design: Supports up to nine modules in a high-density 1U chassis, maximizing rack space utilization. Reliable Passive Platform: Delivers dependable, maintenance-free operation with zero power or cooling requirements, reducing long-term operational overhead. Plug-and-Play Design: Front-access modular design supports plug-and-play installation, simplifying deployment and reducing installation time. Scalable Expansion: Adds or replaces modules based on network growth or service changes, enabling dynamic scaling without costly infrastructure changes. Wide Range of Applications: Supports 400G/100G/10G/1G Ethernet, SDH/SONET, and Fibre Channel, etc., making it ideal for DCI, enterprise and campus networks, CATV systems and FTTx deployments.
"The FTD Series is a high-density, flexible, and scalable passive WDM platform that delivers the latest generation of wavelength division solutions,' said Bener Peng, the product R&D manager of FS. 'Built with top-tier optical components, it emphasizes operational simplicity, compactness, and versatility. The FTD Series is fully compliant with ITU-T optical grid standards and seamlessly interoperates with FS's optical transport products, as well as third-party equipment. This launch reflects our continuous innovation and commitment to delivering high-performance, future-ready optical transport solutions."
With the launch of the FTD Series, FS further expands its passive WDM solutions to meet the growing demands of modern optical networks. For more information about FTD Series products, please contact US@fs.com or visit FS.com.

CHTR INVESTOR ALERT: Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP Announces that Charter Communications, Inc. Investors with Substantial Losses Have Opportunity to Lead Investor Class Action Lawsuit

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The law firm of Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP announces that purchasers or acquirers of Charter Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHTR) securities, including purchasers of call options or sellers of put options between July 26, 2024 and July 24, 2025, both dates inclusive (the 'Class Period'), have until October 14, 2025 to seek appointment as lead plaintiff of the Charter Communications class action lawsuit. Captioned Sandoval v. Charter Communications, Inc., No. 25-cv-06747 (S.D.N.Y.), the Charter Communications class action lawsuit charges Charter Communications as well as certain of Charter Communications' top executives with violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. If you suffered substantial losses and wish to serve as lead plaintiff of the Charter Communications class action lawsuit, please provide your information here: CASE ALLEGATIONS: Charter Communications operates as a broadband connectivity and cable operator company serving residential and commercial customers. The Charter Communications class action lawsuit alleges that defendants throughout the Class Period made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (i) the impact of the Federal Communications Commission's Affordable Connectivity Program ('ACP') end was a material event Charter Communications was unable to manage or promptly move beyond; (ii) the ACP end was actually having a sustaining impact on Internet customer declines and revenue; (iii) neither was Charter Communications executing broader operations in a way that would compensate for, or overcome the impact, of the ACP ending; (iv) the Internet customer declines and broader failure of Charter Communications' execution strategy created much greater risks on business plans and earnings growth than reported; and (v) accordingly, Charter Communications had no reasonable basis to state it was successfully executing operations, managing causes of Internet customer declines, or providing overly optimistic statements about the long term trajectory of Charter Communications and EBITDA growth. The Charter Communications class action lawsuit further alleges that on July 25, 2025, Charter Communications announced second quarter 2025 financial results, reporting EBITDA of $5.7 billion, which suggested 0.5% growth, and a decrease in Internet customers of 117,000, which included the impact of approximately 50,000 disconnects related to the end of the ACP in the second quarter of 2024. On this news, the price of Charter Communications' stock fell more than 18%, according to the complaint. THE LEAD PLAINTIFF PROCESS: The Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 permits any investor who purchased or acquired Charter Communications securities, including purchasers of call options or sellers of put options during the Class Period to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in the Charter Communications class action lawsuit. A lead plaintiff is generally the movant with the greatest financial interest in the relief sought by the putative class who is also typical and adequate of the putative class. A lead plaintiff acts on behalf of all other class members in directing the Charter Communications class action lawsuit. The lead plaintiff can select a law firm of its choice to litigate the Charter Communications class action lawsuit. An investor's ability to share in any potential future recovery is not dependent upon serving as lead plaintiff of the Charter Communications class action lawsuit.
