
TruKKer raises $15 million debt from Ruya Partners
Founded in 2016, TruKKer operates across 9 countries and connects 60,000+ transporters with 1,200+ enterprise clients through a real-time, AI-enabled freight marketplace.
The funding will support regional expansion, tech enhancements, and further consolidation of its freight-tech leadership.
In 2022, TruKKer raised $100 million in a pre-IPO round, led by Bahraini investment firm Investcorp.

Ruya Partners, a leading private credit investment firm in the GCC, is pleased to announce the closing of a $15 million (SAR 55 million) private credit investment in TruKKer Holding Limited, the largest digital freight and logistics platform across the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. The transaction marks the sixth investment from Ruya Private Capital I, the firm's flagship private credit fund.
This financing will enable TruKKer to deepen its regional expansion, enhance technology capabilities, and further solidify its position as the region's primary freight-tech platform.

Founded in 2016, TruKKer operates a real-time, technology-enabled freight marketplace that connects over 60,000 transporters with more than 1,200 enterprise clients across 9 countries. Its platform streamlines and digitises road freight operations, offering intelligent dispatching, scheduling, and capacity optimisation at scale. TruKKer has developed proprietary tech solutions that enable thousands of truck owners and managers to connect with the region's leading manufacturers, traders, and contractors along with multiple stakeholders with complex documentation seamlessly through one network solution.

The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab Middle East and North Africa (J-PAL MENA) at The American University in Cairo (AUC) marked its fifth anniversary this week, celebrating five years of harnessing the power of evidence to design cost-effective and large-scale policies that address poverty and enhance lives across the region. Held at AUC's Malak Gabr Theater, the event brought together policymakers, researchers, donors, and community leaders to celebrate J-PAL MENA's achievements using data and rigorous research to inform policies addressing some of the region's most pressing challenges. The event featured a keynote speech by Nobel Laureate and J-PAL co-founder Abhijit Banerjee and opening remarks by Egypt's Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat. Engaging panel discussions explored the future of evidence-based policymaking in Egypt and the MENA region and showcased success stories from J-PAL's partners, including government officials and its launch in 2020, J-PAL MENA, hosted at the Onsi Sawiris School of Business, has built a strong foundation of success, partnering with governments, NGOs, and donors to generate and disseminate evidence that improves policies and transforms lives.'Since 2020, when Community Jameel supported the establishment of J-PAL MENA, we have been in awe of the speed and scale of its impact in improving the lives of people across the region – from Morocco to Saudi Arabia and, of course, here in Egypt. Investcorp raises a €240m single-asset continuation fund to support HWG Sababa in the next phase of growth
Investcorp, a leading global alternative investment firm, today announced the completion of the sale of a majority stake in leading Italian cybersecurity provider HWG Sababa S.r.l. (the 'Company')[1] by Investcorp Technology Partners Fund V ('ITP V') and certain other investors, to an oversubscribed €240m single-asset continuation fund managed by Investcorp (the 'Fund'). The sale, in which ITP V sold the entirety of its interest in the Company, marks the first exit by ITP V, an oversubscribed $570M fund managed by Investcorp and closed in 2024. The Fund, which closed in June 2025, is managed by Investcorp and is anchored by commitments from funds advised by Hayfin Capital Management ('Hayfin') and Coller Capital ('Coller'). The Fund includes participation from certain investors in ITP V, from Investcorp Technology Partners ('ITP') employees and from new investors, including Hayfin and Coller, among others. Members of the Company management team will continue to hold a significant stake in the Company, alongside the Fund. The transaction provided existing investors in ITP V with the opportunity to realize strong returns on their investment in the Company and gives the Fund and its investors the opportunity to back a high-performing asset with significant potential for further value creation. Having supported the Company since ITP V's investment in 2022, Investcorp, alongside the Fund, will continue to support and actively contribute to the Company in its next phase of growth, which includes further development of existing solutions, with a strong focus on Operational Technology, investment in technology & innovation and internationalization of the firm primarily in Europe and the Middle East, organically and through acquisitions.
