Notre Dame offers the nation's best 2027 defensive lineman, Jalen Brewster
The Irish have been sending out plenty of offers to 2027 prospects, and on Monday they offered one of the country's best in Jalen Brewster. The 6-foot, 3-inch and 302-pound defensive tackle is currently a 5-star prospect, ranking as the No. 7 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
Brewster's list of impressive offers continues to grow, as Notre Dame has joined the likes of Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State to try and win out in his recruitment. His father Robert played at Ball State and was the Dallas Cowboys third-round pick in 2009.
It should come as no surprise that the Irish are once again offering the son of a former player, as they have shown a penchant for that over the last few cycles. They've had good luck luring away legacy players from other schools like 2026 linebacker Thomas Davis Jr. whose father played for UGA, and hopefully the same result with Brewster.

Another sex toy gets thrown onto the court during a WNBA game
CHICAGO — A sex toy was tossed onto the court during a WNBA game for the second time this week. Video showed the sex toy out of bounds under a basket after a whistle was blown to stop play during the third quarter of the Golden State Valkyries' 73-66 victory over the Chicago Sky. An official then kicked it aside before it was picked up and removed. 'It's super disrespectful,' Sky center Elizabeth Williams said in the postgame press conference. 'I don't really get the point of it. It's really immature. Whoever is doing it needs to grow up.' A similar incident occurred Tuesday during the Valkyries' 77-75 victory over the Atlanta Dream in College Park, Georgia. 'I mean, first of all, it was super dangerous,' Valkyries forward Cecilia Zandalasini said after Tuesday's game. 'And then when we found out what it was, I guess we just started laughing. I've never seen anything like that. I'm just glad we worked through that situation. We stayed locked in, we stayed concentrated.'
