Victim of deadly daytime shooting in Roxbury identified by police
Authorities identified the man shot and killed in Roxbury on Tuesday as the search for a suspect continues.
Boston Police say 21-year-old Justin Bettencourt of Dorchester died after sustaining a gunshot wound on Munroe Street just before 3 p.m.
Several nearby schools were getting out for the afternoon at the time of the shooting.
Detectives searched the area of Horatio Harris Park for evidence.
No arrests have been made and a description of a suspect was not available.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.

Kewaunee PD seeking suspects allegedly involved in vehicle theft on 2nd Street
KEWAUNEE, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers with the Kewaunee Police Department say they are looking for information or camera footage of two car theft suspects near 2nd Street around 1 a.m. on Sunday. According to a Facebook post, the Kewaunee Police Department states that a vehicle was stolen off of 2nd Street around 12:50 a.m. on June 8. Officers described the two suspects as younger males, one with a white sweatshirt wearing a backpack and one with a blue/black sweatshirt, both with hoods pulled over their heads. Fond du Lac officers investigating shots fired incident near Parish School Apartments The suspects were also seen on 1st Street, Lincoln Street, and in the alley west of 1st Street. Officers are asking anyone with information or camera footage of the suspects to come forward. It was noted that the stolen car was found in a parking lot on Juneau Street and Miller Street. Fraudster on the run after absconding from prison
Police are searching for a convict who has absconded from an open prison in Derbyshire. Derbyshire Police said Paul Haughey left HMP Sudbury, near Ashbourne, between 11:00 BST and midday on Sunday. The force described the 40-year-old, who was serving a nine-month sentence for fraud and theft offences, as white, about 5ft 9in (1.75m) tall, of medium build, with grey hair. He was last seen wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a dark grey lightweight bomber jacket and black trainers, officers said. Anyone who sees the prisoner is urged to call the police. Jax was last seen leaving her apartment in Denver on Tuesday, April 15, her mom previously told PEOPLE. 'I am terrified for my daughter,' Gratton-Camis said at the time. 'My fear is that somebody killed her,' she continued, then alleging that her daughter had been in abusive relationships in the past. Friends and family told ABC affiliate KMGH-TV that Jax left her apartment at approximately 10 p.m. local time, when she told her roommate that she'd be out for about three hours — but she never came back.
