Emirates to Launch Dubai to Hangzhou Flights
Emirates is set to launch a daily non-stop service between Dubai and Hangzhou from July 30.
The airline's latest expansion into Hangzhou makes the city its fifth gateway into the Chinese mainland after Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
The new service will operate with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, with a total capacity of 2,478 weekly seats.
Emirates flight EK310 will depart Dubai at 9.40am and arrive in Hangzhou at 10pm.
The return flight, EK311, will depart Hangzhou at 12.10am, landing in Dubai at 4.55am.
The new flights are optimally timed to connect travellers to 38 destinations in Europe, 22 in Africa, 11 in the Middle East as well as Brazil and Argentina, offering convenient two-way connections to key cities including Istanbul, Barcelona, Cairo and Johannesburg.

'The addition of a fifth gateway in our Chinese mainland network will not only enhance connectivity for travellers but also offer businesses efficient access to and from key East Asian markets. This expansion is part of our global growth strategy and positions Emirates as the preferred airline when linking the world to the Chinese mainland's thriving economic corridors and beyond.
'We extend our gratitude to the local authorities for their valuable support of this strategic new route and look forward to collaborating closely towards our shared goals of enhanced global connectivity.'
Emirates SkyCargo will further strengthen economic and trade ties between China and the UAE, while reinforcing Hangzhou's role as a major cargo hub and cross-border e-commerce gateway.
Emirates SkyCargo will leverage the new Hangzhou route to enhance its cargo footprint across East Asia, meeting rising demand for reliable air freight solutions.
The service will also reduce transit times, enabling faster, more efficient movement of high-value and time-sensitive goods, including electronics, e-commerce products, pharmaceuticals, and perishables between the Chinese market and key regions including Africa, Latin America, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
From July 30, Emirates will operate 49 weekly flights to the Chinese mainland, including double daily services to Beijing and Shanghai, daily flights to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and the new daily service to Hangzhou.

Emirates, Air China to explore enhanced cooperation
Emirates and Air China have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic framework for expanding their existing reciprocal interline cooperation. The signing took place on the sidelines of the 81st Annual General Meeting (IATA AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) in New Delhi, said a Wam news agency report. The MoU was signed by Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer and Yan Fei, Air China's Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, accompanied by senior executives from both sides. Adnan Kazim said: 'Our partnership with Air China commenced 26 years ago, and approximately 18,000 Emirates customers have benefited from the expanded connectivity offered through our interline agreement. "Building on this success, we've recently announced the launch of two new Chinese cities—Shenzhen and Hangzhou—which will strengthen our East Asia operations." Yan Fei said, 'Air China highly values the cooperation with Emirates. The signing of this memorandum is an important milestone for the deepening of the cooperation between the two sides." Under the MoU, Emirates and Air China will explore a reciprocal codeshare on select routes across each other's networks. This would allow each airline to place its code on the other's flights on China-UAE trunk routes as well as beyond Beijing and Dubai to an expanded list of points. Emirates and Air China will also develop a framework for cooperation across cargo operations and respective frequent flyer loyalty programme, enhancing their value proposition for both travellers and businesses. To further ensure seamless connectivity for customers, the two carriers will explore coordinating flight schedules or adjusting minimum connecting times. Once activated, customers of both airlines will benefit from a seamless booking process, single ticket itineraries and wider lounge access to new and exciting destinations. Beyond commercial cooperation, both carriers plan to exchange best practices in areas such as revenue management, data analytics, digitalisation, brand management and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), among others, through joint knowledge sharing and familiarisation visits. Bahrain Becomes First Emirates Route Served
Bahrain has become the first destination in the Emirates network to be exclusively served by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350, following the arrival of the airline's third A350 at Bahrain International Airport on 2 June. The milestone was marked by the deployment of Emirates' third daily A350 flight (EK835), which departed Dubai at 0200 hrs and landed in Bahrain at 0215 hrs. The return flight, EK836, departed Bahrain at 0340 hrs and arrived in Dubai at 0605 hrs. The strategic move aligns with Emirates' 'Fly Better' initiative, aimed at enhancing passenger experience and modernising its fleet. The Airbus A350 offers next-generation features, including 32 Business Class lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 layout, and 259 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 layout. Passengers can enjoy faster Wi-Fi, Emirates' award-winning ice entertainment system, quieter cabins, higher ceilings, and advanced cabin lighting – all designed to maximise comfort and reduce travel fatigue. Emirates' decision to deploy the A350 exclusively to Bahrain underscores its commitment to the Kingdom and highlights the strengthening ties between the two countries. The A350 currently operates on several short and medium-haul routes, including Amman, Kuwait, Edinburgh, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Colombo, and Tunis.
