10 June 2025 14:12 SHARJAH (WAM)His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree regarding the transfer and appointment of a director for the branch of the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE). The Decree stipulated that Saleh Obaid Salem Balith Al Tunaiji, Director of Al Dhaid Cultural Centre at the Department of Culture in the Emirate of Sharjah, shall be transferred to the SNQSE and appointed as Director of the SNQSE's branch in the city of Al Dhaid, and shall serve as a member of the SNQSE's Board of Directors.

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, on Thursday attended the graduation ceremony of the 34th Joint Command and Staff Course, held under his patronage at the Joint Command and Staff College in Abu Dhabi. The graduation ceremony was also attended by Staff Lieutenant General Issa Bin Ablan Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces; Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence; along with senior officials of the Armed Forces and and military attachés from participating countries. Staff Brigadier General Saeed Salmeen Al Alawi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College, welcomed attendees and congratulated the graduates, highlighting their readiness for future leadership roles. He also emphasised the College's vital role in developing military leaders equipped to navigate evolving regional and global challenges. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Sheikh Hamdan honoured outstanding officers, wishing them success in their military careers. He also presented awards and certificates to the graduates, and group photos were taken with Sheikh Hamdan. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and the honouring of top achievers. Sheikh Hamdan congratulated the top graduates and wished them continued success. Sheikh Hamdan also took commemorative photos with the graduates and college leadership, expressing his appreciation for the Joint Command and Staff College and pride in the achievements of the graduates. Recently, Sheikh Hamdan had attended a graduation ceremony at the Dubai Police Academy held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The event witnessed the 32nd cohort of male cadets, comprising 62 students, and the 5th cohort of female cadets, consisting of 17 students, turning out in full regalia as they marked the official completion of their training programme at the academy's parade ground. Upon Sheikh Hamdan's arrival at the academy's grandstand, the national anthem was played, followed by an inspection of the graduating cadets. The ceremony officially began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. With Sheikh Hamdan in the audience, the graduates came up with a scintillating display of their capabilities as they marched by in crisp formation. The parade featured a stirring routine with the cadets forming a likeness of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing their gratitude for his visionary leadership and relentless support for the nation's youth across all sectors. The tribute coincided with the announcement of 2025 as the 'Year of the Community' under the theme 'Hand in Hand,' reinforcing the leadership's vision for a cohesive and prosperous society. The graduates' military skills, high levels of physical fitness, and unwavering discipline were all on display during the parade. Sheikh Hamdan, accompanied by Lieutenant-General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police; and Brigadier Dr. Sultan Abdul Hamid Al Jamal, Director of Dubai Police Academy, honoured the top-performing graduates.
