Josh Cullen on target as promoted Burnley turn on the style to thrash QPR and go back top of the Championship

Josh Cullen also netted in a one-sided game as the Clarets, already promoted along with Leeds, won with ease to move to the top of the table, three points ahead of the Yorkshire side.
However, Leeds, who are at home to Bristol City on Monday evening, have a superior goal difference and know winning their final two matches will almost certainly seal the title. Both teams could finish the campaign with 100 points.
Scott Parker's side are now unbeaten in 32 league games, have lost just twice this season and conceded just 15 goals.
Scoring goals had been more of an issue for the Clarets but they had no issues finding the back of Paul Nardi's net at Loftus Road.
Cullen put the visitors ahead with a well-taken goal after nine minutes.
Jimmy Dunne attempted to head clear goalkeeper James Trafford's long kick but the ball dropped to Cullen, who played it in towards Flemming and continued into the box. Flemming held the ball up for Josh Brownhill, who threaded it through for Cullen to slot past keeper Nardi.
The lively Flemming doubled the lead 11 minutes later, following a sweeping move from one end of the pitch to the other.
Lucas Koleosho went past Kenneth Paal on the right and crossed low towards Connor Roberts. The Welshman was denied by Dunne's goal-line block but the ball was then nudged by Hannibal Mejbri to Flemming, who netted from close range.
Flemming helped himself to another goal - his 14th of the season - after 28 minutes, sneaking behind Dunne and Liam Morrison to head home Brownhill's cross from the right.
Edwards then cleared off the line to deny Flemming a hat-trick as Burnley threatened to run riot.
QPR boss Marti Cifuentes made a double substitution at half-time, sending on striker Michael Frey and playmaker Ilias Chair - both recently back from injury - in an attempt to stem the tide.
Rangers were better in the second half, but Burnley had total control.
Flemming was again denied a hat-trick, this time by Dunne's saving challenge, before Nardi kept out Brownhill's shot after R's forward Rayan Kolli had given the ball away.
Trafford was finally called into action when he gathered Harrison Ashby's shot, but that was a rare Rangers attack - and Sarmiento's 62nd-minute goal made it four shortly after he came on as a substitute.
Again there was nice link-up play involved, with Brownhill and Flemming exchanging passes before Sarmiento turned away from Morrison and then saw his shot deflected in by the Scottish defender.
And in stoppage time, Nathan Redmond found space on the right and sent in a low cross towards Sarmiento, who swept a first-time strike past Nardi.

'Go and get them' - Scott Cummings urges Lions to roar against Argentina

Friday's British & Irish Lions have been urged to get stuck into Argentina in Dublin on Friday night as Andy Farrell and his coaches look to make a pre-tour statement before touching down in Australia next week. The Lions are set to face Los Pumas in a non-cap international at a sold-out Aviva Stadium, eight days out from their opening tour game against Western Force in Perth. Head coach Farrell is scheduled to name his starting line-up and replacements on Thursday afternoon at 4pm with the bulk of the matchday 23 set to be formed from the 24 players who spent last week training together in camp in Portugal. There is likely to be some representation from the Leinster, Bath and Leicester Tigers clubmen, who joined up with the squad in Dublin on Monday following their respective domestic finals 48 hours earlier, with the Lions looking particularly light at hooker and tighthead prop at Quinta do Lago last week and calling in England front-rowers Jamie George and Asher Okopu-Fordjur as cover for the camp. Hooker George and tighthead Okopu-Fordjur have now left Dublin to join the England XV squad preparing to face a France XV this Saturday, which means a potential bench place for one of Leinster's reprepresentatives at hooker in Ronan Kelleher and Dan Sheehan behind likely starter Luke Cowan-Dickie while Bath's Will Stuart may be asked to back possible starting tighthead Finlay Bealham. There are no such problems at lock where Leicester's Ollie Chessum and Leinster duo Joe McCarthy and James Ryan will likely get an extra few days' rest as Lions captain Maro Itoje, Munster and Ireland's Tadhg Beirne and Glasgow and Scotland's Scott Cummings get the chance to put their two weeks together on the Lions training ground into practice. Cummings, 28, is relishing the opportunity to make an early impact should it come. 'I think the coaches have put it on us,' the 42-cap Scottish second row said. 'We've only been together for a short period of time so there will be some mistakes. We're still learning our systems over the past couple of weeks, but Friday is a massive opportunity for us to show what we've been working on. 'We have high quality players across the team, and they're just telling us to go and make rugby decisions; attack it, don't sit back and let Argentina play their style. Go and get them, go and show what we can do as a team.. 'It's a massive occasion. If I'm lucky enough to get selected it will be a huge moment for anyone.' With England skipper Itoje set to lead the Lions into the three-Test series against Australia next month, presumably from the second row, the competition to partner him will intensify as Chessum, McCarthy and Ryan come on stream. 'I think as a squad we've come together well, but we're all on this journey together. We have to help each other out. 'It's a good thing for second rows, because you need a partner. It's not like it's just one person in your position. We need all the second rows playing well so that when someone swaps in there are partners and you have to build those relationships. 'We're all here to compete for a Test jersey and put ourselves out there to compete for the team. We also want to win the Lions series, that's the main objective as a squad, to win the series. 'It's going to be competitive, but we know we've been good at getting each other on the right page, so that as a squad we compete.'

Noel Hunt lands first summer transfer as Reading swoop for ex-Limerick defender

Reading manager Noel Hunt has hailed the signing of Irish defender Paudie O'Connor from Lincoln. O'Connor, who captained the Imps, has signed a four-year contract after arriving on a free transfer, and former Ireland striker Hunt is thrilled with the deal. The Limerick native played in the League of Ireland with his hometown club Limerick, before moving to Leeds United in 2017. After loan spells with Blackpool and Bradford, he completed a permanent switch to Bradford in 2019. Lincoln signed him three years ago after his contract expired - and now Reading have taken advantage of a similar situation by landing the 27-year-old for free. Former Shamrock Rovers, Reading and Leeds striker Hunt said: 'Paudie is a fantastic lad and will be a big character in the dressing room. 'He's exactly the type of person we want at our Football Club for our rebuild. He's been a huge part of Lincoln's success over the past three years. 'We've had our eyes on him for a while, I've been a big admirer of his for some time. I knew about him when he was in the Leeds setup, and I can't wait to work with him on a day to day basis.' O'Connor spent two years at Limerick, suffering relegation before helping the club bounce back up again. After trials at Crystal Palace and Leicester, he earned a move to Leeds and made his debut at Elland Road against Sunderland near the end of the 2017/18 campaign. He played a total of four times for Leeds, and is now closing in on 350 career appearances. O'Connor was Bradford's Player of the Year in both 2021 and 2022, and the club's Players' Player of the Year in 2022. New Reading chairman Rob Couhig said: 'Paudie was always the person we expected to sign at this point.'
