Major update in Beauty and the Geek alleged murder case
Parts of Julian Story's burned and dismembered body were found inside a Port Lincoln unit last month but his head has never been found.
Police believe Ms Chesser, 34, murdered him around midnight on June 17 and then cut up his body and set it on fire two days later.
A search for Mr Story's head was called off on July 1, days after Ms Chesser was charged with his murder, after searches of bushland, ocean and parks around the area were unsuccessful.
Now, armed with fresh leads, police have relaunched their search.
'Detectives from major crime investigation branch and local Eyre Western police, with the assistance of local support services will conduct further searches at several locations over the coming days to locate the missing remains of murder victim Julian Story,' a police statement read.
Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said information received by the investigation team coupled with the use of specialist equipment had identified several additional search sites in and around Port Lincoln.
'In the days following the murder, Major Crime Detectives, local police, Water Operations Unit and the SA State Emergency Service conducted extensive searches around Port Lincoln without success,' Detective Superintendent Fielke said.
'New search areas have been identified and by undertaking these renewed searches, we hope to find Julian's missing remains, which will give comfort to his family and allow them to peacefully lay him to rest.
'Police have reviewed a significant amount of CCTV footage since the incident which has provided a number of investigational leads. We also appreciate the ongoing assistance the community of Port Lincoln has provided throughout the investigation.'
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Croydon Park, Prairiewood: Shots fired at two Sydney homes while children, elderly inside
Two Sydney homes have been targeted in brazen shootings overnight, with shots fired while children and elderly residents were inside. The first home was targeted on Queen St, Croydon Park at about 8pm on Friday. Police were told a person was seen standing out the front and firing two shots from a pistol into the home, before getting into the driver's seat of a white hatchback. A 44-year-old man, three women - aged 40, 51, and 71 - were inside the home with a five-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl at the time. No injuries were reported. The white hatchback was last seen travelling north along Tavistock St, police say. The incident is believed to be targeted. Police are urging members of the public to contact them if they know anything about either of the incidents. Picture: NewsWire/ Gaye Gerard Police say the incident is believed to be targeted and have urged anybody with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers. Little more than three hours later at about 11.25pm, police received reports of gunshots being fired into a unit in Prairiewood. An 80-year-old woman was inside at the time but was not injured. Police say a white Ford Ranger was seen in the vicinity at the time of the second shooting. It is believed at this stage to have been a case of mistaken identity. There is no evidence at this stage to suggest the Prairiewood shooting is linked to the earlier incident at Croydon Park, according to police. Children and elderly among those caught in terrifying gunfire incidents across Sydney as police confirm no injuries
A quiet Friday evening in Sydney descended into chaos after two homes in separate suburbs were peppered with gunfire within hours of each other, prompting urgent investigations by NSW Police. The first incident unfolded just after 8pm on Queen Street, Croydon Park, when shots rang out in a residential neighbourhood. Authorities say a number of adults and children were inside the home when a lone individual approached the front of the property and opened fire. Witnesses at the scene told police that the suspect stood outside the house and discharged two rounds from a pistol before fleeing. The shooter was seen getting into the driver's seat of a hatchback, which was later observed heading north along Travistock Street. Inside the home at the time were a 44-year-old man, three women aged 40, 51, and 71, along with two young children, aged five and six. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Investigators say early indications suggest the Croydon Park shooting was 'targeted'. A few hours later, at approximately 11.25pm, a separate shooting incident was reported on Calabria Lane in Prairiewood, nearly 20 kilometres away. This time, a unit was struck by bullets while an 80-year-old woman was inside. She too was unharmed. However, police believe the unit was mistakenly targeted, with a white Ford Ranger spotted in the area around the time of the shooting. At this stage, authorities have found 'no evidence' linking the two cases. Anyone who may have information or surveillance footage related to either incident is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
