UK festivals that still have tickets left
Festival season is well and truly under way - last weekend Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Sabrina Carpenter gave Primavera Sound in Barcelona one of the most popular line-ups of the summer, and Glastonbury is less then two weeks away.But if you missed out on tickets to either of those, here's a selection of other festivals you can still get tickets for.
Isle of Wight Festival

Bludfest
Dates: 21 June Location: The National Bowl, Milton KeynesLine-up includes: Yungblud, Chase Atlantic, blackbear, Denzel CurryPrice: From £73.25The National Bowl in Milton Keynes has been home to some huge touring artists over the decades: Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, Eminem, Oasis, Foo Fighters and... Yungblud.Last year the rock star hosted his own festival at the venue with the aim of selling tickets at affordable prices.In the end 30,000 people attended, with each paying £50 for a ticket.Bludfest returns in June with a slightly high entry price, which the Lovesick Lullaby singer puts down to the increasing size of the festival.
Reading & Leeds Festival

Mad Cool
Dates: 10 July to 13 July Location: Madrid, SpainLine-up includes: Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Olivia Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, Benson Boone Price: €237 (£200.91) for weekend tickets, €109 (£92.31) for a day ticket If you want to combine a music festival with a sunshine holiday then this could be your best bet.The Spanish event features a mix of pop, rock and indie music.Despite being far from home there's plenty of UK bands playing, such as Devon band Muse who are replacing headliners Kings of Leon, who had to drop out after an injury.
TRNSMT
Dates: 11 July to 13 July Location: Glasgow Green, ScotlandLine-up includes: 50 Cent, Wet Leg, Biffy Clyro, Fontaines D.C, Snow Patrol, Gracie AbramsPrice: £254.90 for weekend tickets, £92.50 for a day ticketSet on the banks of the River Clyde in the heart of Glasgow, this is quite a varied festival.Where else could you see 50 Cent on the same stage as The Script and Wet Leg?Remember you can't camp at TRNSMT, so an accommodation booking is needed if you're planning on attending the full weekend.

Dates: 31 July to 3 AugustLocation: Pikehall, DerbyshireLine-up includes: The Prodigy, Courteeners, Madness, The WombatsPrice: £169.50 for weekend ticketsThis even was originally named The Big Gin Festival when it was first hosted in 2005, due to being near Biggin in the Peak District.It started when founder Ralph Broadbent wanted to host a party in his parents' Derbyshire garden while they were away.One of the most unique parts of the festival is the annual paint fight which takes place on the Sunday at noon.
Moo-La-La Festival
Dates: 2 AugustLocation: Cowbridge, WalesLine-up includes: Tribute artistsPrice: £18.04 for general admission ticketsPreviously named Cowchella, the festival rebranded after a complaint from US giant Coachella.Steps star Ian "H" Watkins is hosting the event alongside actress Claire Sweeney and BBC Radio 2 presenter Owain Wyn Evans.The event is made up of tribute artists for chart toppers such as Abba, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter and Vengaboys.
Big Smoke Festival
Dates: 9 August to 10 AugustLocation: Crystal Palace Bowl, LondonLine-up includes: Skepta, Central Cee, JME and FriscoPrice: Weekend tickets from £100.80Big Smoke Festival is part of South Facing's summer of open-air concerts in London.Skepta has curated this multi-genre music event which sees him headline on both days.On the Sunday he is stepping behind the decks and playing tracks from his Más Tiempo label.

Dates: 14 August to 17 AugustLocation: Wimborne St Giles, DorsetLine-up includes: Michael Kiwanuka, Rotary Connection 222, NonamePrice: Weekend tickets from £294.50, day tickets are £93.50According to their website, festival founder Giles Peterson wanted to join "the musical dots between soul, hip hop, house, afro, electronica, jazz and beyond".The weekend features 15 stages nestled in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty.It's not just music either, there's a wellness retreat where visitors can sit in hot tubs and paddle board.

Dates: 21 - 24 AugustLocation: Daresbury, CheshireLine-up includes: David Guetta, Chase & Status, Martin Garrix, ANYMAPrice: £310 for four-day camping tickets, £137.50 for day ticketsThe multi-stage dance music festival has run since 1998.This year organisers have introduced a new woodland stage and "downtown" area, where visitors can play inflatable five-a-side football, basketball, and mini golf.If the bass and lasers get too much there are also new wellness facilities such as saunas, hot tubs and hot showers.
Radio 2 in the Park

BBC Radio Two presenter Vernon Kay congratulates wife Tess Daly on MBE
BBC Radio Two presenter Vernon Kay has congratulated his wife, Strictly Come Dancing presenter Tess Daly, for being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). The 56-year-old has been recognised alongside her Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman in the King's Birthday Honours for her services to broadcasting. Time to pop a cork me thinks…' Daly began working as a model and first appeared on screens in 1999 when she hosted The Big Breakfast's Find Me A Model competition on Channel 4. She reached new levels of fame as co-host of the BBC One Saturday night dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing, which she presented alongside the late Sir Bruce Forsyth until 2014, three years before his death at the age of 89. Traitors presenter Winkleman joined Daly as Strictly co-host, with the pair picking up the best entertainment award at the 2024 Bafta TV ceremony. I've been really fortunate to work with some of the very best production teams that there are in the business. And so my biggest thanks is to them, because you're only as good as your team.' The broadcaster also presented the ITV makeover show, Home On Their Own in 2003, replacing Ulrika Jonsson, and in 2011 fronted the BBC Two documentary TV Greats: Our Favourites From The North where she took a look at Manchester's broadcasting past as BBC North bid farewell to its studios in the city to move to Salford. Across her career she has interviewed stars including Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, rock band No Doubt and US musician Lenny Kravitz.

King remember victims of Air India plane disaster at Trooping the Colour
The King has celebrated his official birthday with an eco-friendly flypast by the Red Arrows and remembered all those killed in the Air India plane disaster. Trooping the Colour was a display of military pomp and pageantry but Charles asked for the traditional programme to include a minute's silence, and for senior royals and officers taking part to wear black armbands as a mark of respect. When the royal family gathered later on Buckingham Palace's balcony they acknowledged the crowds and watched an aerial display of vintage and modern aircraft with the Red Arrows' finale powered by a blend of sustainable aviation fuel. The world-famous acrobatic team also used vegetable oil to produce their trademark red, white and blue vapour trails over the royal residence – believed to be a first. Trooping, also known as the King's Birthday Parade, fell silent after Charles had inspected hundreds of troops on Whitehall's Horse Guards Parade from a carriage with the Queen by his side. The moment of reflection acknowledged the aviation disaster on Thursday that killed 241 passengers and crew, including more than 50 British nationals, and around 30 people on the ground. Charles led the royal colonels in wearing black armbands, with the Prince of Wales, Colonel of the Welsh Guards, Princess Royal, Colonel Blues and Royals, and the Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel Scots Guards, all wearing bands on their left arms. Young royals delighted monarchy fans by making an appearance, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis riding in a carriage with their mother Kate. During the pageantry, the colour was first trooped through the ranks of soldiers before the guardsmen marched past the King, first in slow then in quick time, with Charles acknowledging the command of 'eyes right' with a salute. Lieutenant Max Martin, 24, who carried the regimental flag at the heart of the ceremony, said: 'The King's Colour emphasises and symbolises everything that has ever gone before in the Coldstream Guards. 'The gold embroidered silk of the flag is physically heavy, especially in the flourish, but the symbolic weight is heavier still. 'It bears 44 of our 113 battle honours: the achievements and sacrifices of countless generations of our forebears.' Thousands lined the royal procession route from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guards Parade where Trooping was staged. A group of activists from the anti-monarchy group Republic staged a 'not my King' protest. During the fly-past Louis, who was dressed in an identical red tie and suit outfit as older brother George, was seen chatting to his father, William, and waving to the crowds. The sustainable display be the Red Arrows is in keeping with Charles decades long support for sustainability and climate action. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said the King was not involved in the decision but was 'delighted' because he has been encouraging use of the fuel on royal flights where practical and hopes the example will lead to wider use across the aviation sector.
