'We make each other very happy' Elizabeth Hurley gushes over boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus
Elizabeth Hurley says she and boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus "make each other very happy".
The 59-year-old actress has gushed over her significant other, after their romance was recently confirmed on social media, describing him as a "lovely man".
Speaking at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation 2025 Hot Pink Party in New York City on Tuesday (13.05.25), she told DailyMail.com: "Billy's a lovely man and we make each other very happy."
But Elizabeth didn't offer a response when asked if she has been able to "spend time" with any of Billy's six kids, including superstar singer Miley Cyrus, 32.
The 'Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery' star's comments come after 63-year-old musician Billy praised Elizabeth as a "great human being".
He recently told their romance has evolved, recalling how they met while filming 2022's 'Christmas in Paradise' movie.
In a clip from 'The Ty Bentli Show', Billy Ray said: "We did very few scenes together but the couple times we were in the same scene there was a chemistry there. We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn't laughing a lot.
"The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.
"If all we ever were [is] the friends that we are, I would take that. She's so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She's a very smart businesswoman.
"If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything."
While the pair met on the movie set, they didn't speak to each other for two years after shooting the film.
But Elizabeth re-entered Billy Ray's life when he needed a friend, following his split from wife Tish Cyrus.
He shared: "I felt like, 'Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?' For me, at a certain point it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you. And in this moment ... a friend reached out."
Billy didn't recognise the number at first, so he text Elizabeth back.
He recalled: "I text back, I go, 'Who is this?' And it's like, 'Elizabeth Hurley.' Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most ... this friend who made me laugh."

Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritising his health. "He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage." Billy added his own message to fans, saying: "I'm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding." Meanwhile, in Billy Joel: And So It Goes, it's revealed that Joel attempted suicide twice in his early 20s. He reflected in the film: 'I had no place to live. I was sleeping in laundromats and I was depressed I think to the point of almost being psychotic. "So I figured, 'That's it. I don't want to live anymore.' I was just in a lot of pain and it was sort of like why hang out, tomorrow is going to be just like today is and today sucks. So, I just thought I'd end it all."

The 76-year-old singer "felt like a homewrecker" after he had an affair with Elizabeth Weber while living with her, her husband Jon Small - who Billy was in a band called Attila with - and their son and when the truth emerged, the Piano Man hitmaker embarked on a downward spiral. In new documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes, People magazine reports Elizabeth - who later reconnected with the singer and they were married from 1973-1982 - said: "Bill and I spent a lot of time together. [It was a] slow build." Billy confessed to Jon that he was "in love" with Elizabeth. He added: "I felt very, very guilty about it. They had a child. I felt like a homewrecker. I was just in love with a woman and I got punched in the nose which I deserved. Jon was very upset. I was very upset." Their fight ended Attila and the friendship between the two men, Elizabeth left and Billy started drinking. He reflected in the film: 'I had no place to live. I was sleeping in laundromats and I was depressed I think to the point of almost being psychotic. "So I figured, 'That's it. I don't want to live anymore.' I was just in a lot of pain and it was sort of like why hang out, tomorrow is going to be just like today is and today sucks. So, I just thought I'd end it all." At the time, the Uptown Girl singer's sister, Judy Molinari, was working as a medical assistant and had passed on sleeping pills to help her brother to rest. She tearfully said: 'But Billy decided that he was going to take all of them… he was in a coma for days and days and days. "I went to go see him in the hospital, and he was laying there white as a sheet. I thought that I'd killed him." Billy noted he was "very selfish" at the time and recalled eventually waking up in hospital thinking he wanted to make another attempt on his life, but this time to do it "right". Judy told how he drank a bottle of "lemon Pledge" and Jon took him back to hospital. Billy reflected: 'Even though our friendship was blowing up, Jon saved my life." Jon added: "He never really said anything to me, the only practical answer I can give as to why Billy took it so hard was because he loved me that much and that it killed him to hurt me that much. Eventually I forgave him." Following his second suicide attempt, the "lost soul" checked himself into an "observation ward" and the few weeks he spent there had a huge impact on Billy. He said: "I got out of the observation ward and I thought to myself, you can utilise all those emotions to channel that stuff into music."
