The Seattle Storm will host the Las Vegas Aces as the WNBA Commissioners Cup gets underway on Sunday.
Other than the championship final, games in this in-season competition count toward the regular-season standings, with teams in the Western Conference playing six total contests (the Eastern Conference, with only six teams, will play one less game). The top team in each conference will meet on July 1 in a one-game championship contest.
These two teams met just one week ago, with the Storm (3-3) dominating in a 102-82 win. Seattle got 23 points from forward Nneka Ogwumike, while Erica Wheeler stood out with 21 points off the bench. While the Aces (3-2) got a double-double from A'ja Wilson, the story of the game was simple: Seattle shot 60% from the floor and won the battle on the boards to boot.
Here's what to know about the Aces-Storm game in the WNBA Commissioner's Cup, including start time and how to watch.

Caitlin Clark Issues Apology To WNBA Fan After Pregame Accident

Caitlin Clark Issues Apology To WNBA Fan After Pregame Accident originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Caitlin Clark has been forced to watch the Indiana Fever from the sidelines over their last three games, still dealing with a quad strain that will keep her out at least one more. Advertisement Going into Tuesday, the Fever were riding a three-game losing streak, but that came to an end after an 85-76 win over the Washington Mystics. With Clark watching from the bench, Indiana turned to fellow All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell for the bulk of the scoring, notching 24 points on 7-of-14 shooting, two rebounds and three assists. Even though Clark is dealing with a multi-week injury, that didn't stop her from having some fun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Before Tuesday's game, she was seen playfully bouncing a ball up and down. Advertisement The former Iowa Hawkeyes star went to retrieve the ball as Sophie Cunningham, also sidelined with a right ankle injury, looked on. After stepping back onto the court, Clark turned and apologized to the fan for the accidental bounce. "Sorry," Clark said with a smile on her face. Clark was able to play in the Fever's first four games of the 2025 WNBA season, leading them to a 2-2 record. In those contests, she is averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists. With Clark and Cunningham both sidelined, the Fever brought in guard Aari McDonald to fill a roster spot, and she stepped up against Washington as well. McDonald tallied seven points, five assists and three steals, making a strong case for a permanent place on the team. Advertisement The Fever will embark on a road trip to battle the Chicago Sky on Saturday, a game Clark will miss. However, she could potentially return in the following matchup against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. Mystics forward Kiki Iriafen named WNBA rookie of the month

Kiki Iriafen's eyes widened with a bit of confusion as Washington Mystics Coach Sydney Johnson stood in front of the team Wednesday and announced she had won an award. She quickly covered her face with both hands, shielding a cheeky smile, as teammates clapped and demanded a speech. Less than 24 hours after scoring a career-high 20 points in just her eighth WNBA game, Iriafen picked up her first piece of hardware as a pro. The WNBA named her rookie of the month for May after a blazing start to her career.

Lynx star Napheesa Collier named West's best player for May

Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier continues to make her MVP case as the team remains unbeaten. The WNBA announced Wednesday that Collier is the Western Conference Player of the Month for May. The Lynx left the first month of the season without a loss, thanks in large part to Collier's contributions. She averaged 26.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.4 blocks in five games. On the season, Collier leads the WNBA in points per game (25.1) and win shares (2.0). The Lynx are a perfect 8-0, their best start since they won the WNBA Finals in 2017. This is the second award of the season for Collier, who won Western Conference Player of the Week after the first four games. Last season, Collier made the All-WNBA First Team and was named Defensive Player of the Year amid the Lynx's surprising but ultimately unavailing run to the WNBA Finals. She also won a gold medal with Team USA at the Summer Olympics. Since then, she's had a productive offseason. She was named the MVP of Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 basketball league she co-founded, and TIME magazine listed her among its 100 Most Influential People.
