Ranbir Kapoor threw tantrums on Animal sets? Co-star clears the air
During a recent interview with Filmygyan, Saurabh Sachdeva was asked if Ranbir Kapoor 'threw tantrums' on the sets of Sandeep Reddy Vanga 's 2023 directorial venture, Animal. Sachdeva, who played Abrar and Aziz's second brother, Abid Haque, in the movie, quashed the rumor, saying that it is all "nonsense."

Sachdeva further praised Ranbir's behavior, saying that he was "always connected, humble, and respectful with his co-actors" on the sets of the blockbuster movie.

50 Years Of Sholay: Ramesh Sippy Opens Up On Jai And Veeru's Bromance, Says 'We Have Not...'
Sholay starred an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Amjad Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, A. K. Hangal, Sachin and Hema Malini. Director Ramesh Sippy, the director of the iconic film 'Sholay', has spoken up on the bromance of the film's legendary pair, Jai and Veeru. The director spoke with IANS, a day prior to the film's 50th anniversary on Friday. The director was relatively unaware of the word 'Bromance' as it's a part of the new age lingo. He confused it with the word 'Romance", which is non-platonic in nature. When he was informed that the audience from the current generation is in awe of the bromance between Jai and Veeru, he said, 'It's up to people. We have not suggested anything like this. It was a good friendship. And we showed that both have their own romantic interests (with other women). There was no such tendency". He told IANS, 'But if someone hugs you with love, or sits with you on a motorcycle, it does not mean that there is something else in it". Elsewhere in the conversation, the director shared an interesting anecdote from the time, he saw the audience's reaction to the film in the theatres upon its release. He shared how he was invited by a cinema owner to witness the first-hand reaction of the audience while it was being projected to the audience. He said, 'A cinema person called me. He said, 'Come to my cinema'. It was City Light cinema. He said, 'Can you see there? No one is coming here to have a cold drink'. There was an interval. No one came. He said, 'Do you know why? Because those who were inside the hall were super-attentive. They were behaving as if they have never seen anything like this'. I said, 'Are you sure?'. He said, absolutely. 'I see it every day. They do not come in the interval'". 'Sholay' is recognised as the first Western Spaghetti film of Hindi cinema. It starred an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Amjad Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, A. K. Hangal, Sachin and Hema Malini. The film is considered as one of the greatest movies in Hindi cinema for its grandeur, performances, technical brilliance, action, music and direction. The film was written by the legendary screenwriting duo Salim-Javed, and went on to become one of the longest-running films of Indian cinema. India Today reviewer Janani K rated the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote, "Rajinikanth's charisma, wit, and screen presence remain strong at 74. A single close-up of his eye is enough to energize audiences, and 'Coolie' leans heavily on such moments. While these illicit applause, they contrast with Lokesh Kanagaraj's usual distinct visual style. The film includes his trademarks - old songs, music-filled fight sequences and non-linear storytelling - but this time, these elements do not resonate as intended."Kannada superstar Upendra, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and actor Pooja Hegde appeared in cameos in the film. Composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and editor Philomin Raj are part of the technical crew.- EndsTune InMust Watch

War 2 box office collection day 1: Hrithik-Jr. NTR's film beats Saiyaara, earns double
War 2 box office collection day 1: YRF had two major releases within a month. One was Saiyaara , starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and the other was War 2 , released on August 14, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 arrived amid huge buzz during advance bookings. At the same time, Saiyaara made headlines for breaking around 10 box office records. YRF's latest offering, backed by Aditya Chopra, has now surpassed the earnings of Ahaan Panday's romantic drama. War 2 beats Saiyaara at the box office window War 2 is 2025's biggest Hindi movie and was one of the most anticipated releases expected to perform well at the box office. It hit theatres on Thursday, August 14, alongside the much-hyped Rajinikanth starrer Coolie . There was a noticeable craze for Jr. NTR, with Telugu tickets selling more initially, before Hindi ticket sales took the lead. However, Hindi and Telugu earnings had a neck-to-neck competition. War 2 's box office collection, as per early estimates from shows that the Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starrer in the Spy Universe earned Rs 29 crore in the Hindi belt, Rs 23.25 crore from the Telugu belt, and only Rs 35 lakh from the Tamil version. The total collection across all languages stands at Rs 52.5 crore. Now, talking about Saiyaara , directed by Mohit Suri, reports that the movie earned Rs 21 crore on its first day, i.e., July 18. It's clear that War 2 has surpassed Saiyaara on day one, despite receiving mixed reviews. reviews War 2 Despite the pre-sale hype, War 2 offers little more than loud background music, slow-motion entries, and recycled tropes we've seen countless times before. The story feels familiar, with nothing new to offer. On the other hand, Jr. NTR's screen presence feels underutilised, making this arguably his weakest on-screen impact to date. War 2 is a missed opportunity on every front. Read the full review here.
