The world No19 was upset with his assignment, with all other courts beginning play at 12:30pm.
Davidovich Fokina subsequently posted an open letter to the ATP via his Instagram story.
He revealed his "disappointment and frustration" at having to wake up "extremely early" for his match - pointing to the fact that he is staying a one hour drive from the tournament venue.
Man of the people Evans, however, was having none of Davidovich Fokina's complaints.
Reposting his colleague's open letter to his own Instagram page, former British No1 Evans wrote: "Wake up an play.
"The world wakes up an works 9-5 even 8-6 pathetic."
While a second wrote: "He's a real one for this."
Davidovich Fokina's complaint in full
Good afternoon,
Today I want to share my disappointment and frustration with the ATP. Tomorrow, every match starts at 12:30 except ours, which has been scheduled at 11am. We're staying one hour from the club, which means we have to wake up extremely early to arrive in good condition.
We've asked for a change, but the answer was that everything has already been sold, tickets, TV rights, etc. Once again, it's clear that players are not taken into consideration.
Today it happened to others, tomorrow it's me, and from the day after, all matches return to 12:30. There are plenty of available courts, yet we're the only ones playing at 11:00.
The ATP always promises they'll fix things, but nothing ever changes. This isn't the first time it happens, and when you're inside, you realise it's not as great as it looks from the outside.
All the best,
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina
A third reasoned: "Evans is right. Sometimes, being flexible doesn't hurt."
And another added: "He's getting paid literally tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars to show up at 11am and play a tennis match."
Eugenie Bouchard breaks down in tears as former Wimbledon runner-up officially retires
Davidovich Fokina reached the final in Washington last week.
During his run he defeated Wimbledon semi-finalist Taylor Fritz in a match that did not finish until 1am.
The charismatic star held several match points in the final but went on to lose a heartbreaker to Alex de Minaur, leaving him still without a tour-level title.
Evans, meanwhile, is looking to rebuild his ranking aged 35 having fallen out of the world's top 200 earlier this year.
The Brummie star is back up to No129, having reached the third round in Washington last week.
Ahead of Wimbledon, Evans wiped away tears as he recounted his struggles this year.
He said: "It's not the matches. It's when you feel like you've let people down, that's the tougher thing about it.
'You're not used to losing, that's probably more of the thing. I don't worry about retirement but it's just different isn't it?
"To start losing, it's scary at the end of the day, to know sometimes you're not good enough.
'It's not an easy thing in sport to not be good enough. I don't know why I'm so emotional about it."

Jannik Sinner's rivals show what they really think as Wimbledon champ faces brutal snub
Jannik Sinner may be ranked as the ATP No. 1 player at present, but the four-time Grand Slam winner was recently omitted from a list of Tour's 'nicest players' by his fellow tennis stars Jannik Sinner was noticeably absent from a list of the nicest tennis players on the ATP Tour, compiled by his fellow competitors. The revelation came during the National Bank Open in Canada this week, where a reduced field is competing for glory before the US Open later this month. Four-time Grand Slam champion Sinner, who pulled out of the Masters 1000 event to recover after his Wimbledon victory, was among several high-profile stars who withdrew from the tournament, including Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Despite his absence, it was Alcaraz who was the most frequently mentioned name on the lists compiled by Francisco Cerundolo, Daniil Medvedev, Holger Rune and Lorenzo Musetti. Casper Ruud, known for his kind demeanour like Alcaraz, was also a popular choice. Cerundolo chose Ruud, Alcaraz, his brother Juan Manuel Cerundolo, Jakub Mensik and Mariano Navone. Medvedev also opted for the duo of Ruud and Alcaraz, adding Joao Fonseca, Andrey Rublev and Miomir Kecmanovic to his list. Rune also selected Alcaraz and Cerundolo but made sure to give a nod to Gael Monfils and Ben Shelton, describing the latter as a "good lad." His other choice could potentially stir up controversy as he named Nick Kyrgios on his list, claiming that the Aussie, notorious for his fiery personality, is nice "with me personally", reports the Express. Despite Musetti's list being dominated by his fellow Italians, Sinner was notably absent. Instead, the 23-year-old opted for Flavio Cobolli, Lorenzo Sonego, Matteo Berrettini and Simone Bolelli. Sinner's omission is not a reflection of his character, as he has been highly praised by none other than his fiercest competitor, Alcaraz. Speaking about their off-court friendship to Gazzetta, the Spaniard said: "Tennis is a unique sport that allows you to be great rivals on the court and, at the same time, maintain mutual respect. "Sinner and I are good friends; we can talk about many things off the court. I have great respect for him; he's a great person; I'm sure we'll always be able to maintain this relationship." He added: "We talk a little bit besides tennis, about life. But not too much. It means we have a good relationship but we are not close friends. I think the respect we have puts us in a position that we have a really good relationship." No stranger to one another on the court, Sinner and Alcaraz recently completed a battle for the ages at this summer's final of Wimbledon. While Alcaraz took the first set 6-4, ATP No. 1 Sinner came back to take the next three, and ultimately, his maiden title on the courts of SW19.

Tennis superstar Aryna Sabalenka leaves fans stunned after going topless in surprise Instagram post after Wimbledon heartbreak
World No 1 tennis star Aryna Sabalenka has taken Instagram by storm after stripping down for her latest post. The 27-year-old is a three-time Grand Slam champion but suffered heartbreak at Wimbledon as she was dealt a shock semi-final defeat at the hands of Amanda Anisimova at SW19. The hot favourite for victory, Sabalenka fell in the last four before the woman that beat her lost 6-0, 6-0 to Iga Swiatek. But the Belarusian has now put that behind her, however, as she prepares for her next outing by enjoying some down time with 'a day spent in the sun', as she captioned the post. Sharing the snap to her 3.3million followers, Sabalenka went topless as she showed off her long blonde hair, pouting as she updated her fans with what she has been up to after Wimbledon. Tan lines on her shoulders were evident, with slight cleavage on show and the tennis star's hand on her own head. She also donned a necklace with what appeared to be shells on, and was inside when the photo was taken. Sabalenka is no stranger to getting her kit off for social media. She often shares photos where she shows off her body in a bikini, though went one step further on this occasion. Alongside the topless picture, she showed off her legs by the pool, while another photo showed palm trees and another was a selfie in a car. Despite making headlines when she helped a struggling spectator with a bottle of water on Centre Court, Sabalenka also admitted that she has a 'hate relationship' with Wimbledon after to failing to win her third semi-final in a row. 'I lost three semis,' she said after her defeat by Anisimova. 'Three tough ones 'Then I was banned from playing (due to her nationality, in 2022). Then I was injured. So I have really more of a hate relationship right now with Wimbledon, but I really hope that one day I will, yeah, turn it around and have love relationship.' In the aftermath, though, she has made the most of the summer, as shown by her social media. On July 19, she posed next to boyfriend Georgios Frangulis in a post captioned: 'The sweetest summer.' On July 21, she said she was 'soaking in the last few days of vacation,' but was taking in the sun again this week ahead of the US Open, which starts later this month.

Emma Raducanu hires EIGHTH coach of her career as Brit, 22, links up with former Rafael Nadal mentor
EMMA RADUCANU has hired former Rafael Nadal mentor Francisco Roig as the eighth coach of her career. The Brit has been working with Mark Petchy over the last few months but his broadcast commitments meant the partnership was never going to be a long-term one. 1 Now Roig is on board and set to team up with Raducanu at the Cincinnati Masters, where the 22-year-old is aiming to pick up enough wins to get herself a seeding for the US Open. Roig, 57, is vastly experienced having worked with Nadal throughout his career. He was No2 coach for the Spaniard for all 22 Grand Slam wins, working alongside his uncle Toni. Raducanu's team began discussions with Roig over him coming on board during Wimbledon, according to the Mail. A trial began soon after the Championships but Roig was unavailable until this week due to other commitments. Roig has built a reputation as a top technical coach and he also worked with former Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berretini between 2023-24. His appointment also marks a move away from Raducanu surrounding herself with a close circle of people who knew her before her 2021 US Open victory. The last time she ventured down that avenue earlier this year when she appointed Vlado Platenik, who lasted just 14 days. Raducanu had previously worked with a wide range of coaches including Nigel Sears, Andrew Richardson - who was in charge during her run to the title in New York - Torben Beltz, Dmitry Tursunov and Sebastian Sachs. Now Roig will have to earn her trust and iron out a few kinks in her game to help Raducanu continue her recent good form and climb up the rankings.
