Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai fame Shubhangi Atre gained massive limelight after her portrayal of Angoori in the series. While Shubhangi's professional life was climbing the ladder of success, her personal life, especially with her husband, was going through a lot of mess. Shubhangi, who married Piyush Poorey, parted ways with him after 17 years of marriage. Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Shubhangi talked about her divorce and how it was her ex-husband, Piyush Poorey's alcohol addiction.
Shubhangi had known Piyush since her school days. The two were in a relationship, and when she received an arranged marriage proposal, she introduced Piyush to her family and eventually married him. She said that it was after the wedding that she found out about Piyush's alcohol addiction.
She said, 'I tried to make the marriage work. We stayed together for 17 years.' Why Did Shubhangi Part Ways With Piyush?
Shubhangi, who was married to Piyush, said that while she was busy working on her shoots, it was her daughter Ashi who revealed Piyush's drinking habits. She was quoted as saying, 'Since I was busy working, I didn't realise when the situation got worse. My daughter, Ashi, would tell me about his drinking habits and that he would get cranky after drinking. The eye-opening moment was during the Covid time when I stayed at home and saw it myself.'
Shubhangi added that since Piyush was taking steroids for his hair transplant, she thought that he would stop drinking. However, it did not happen. His health worsened, and he was hospitalised. She said, 'After that, I tried for two years from rehab to family discussions. I tried to convince him, but then in November 2020, I decided to separate. It was affecting me mentally. Even after divorce, I continued supporting him financially but he continued drinking. He didn't stop.' About Shubhangi Atre's Husband, Piyush Poorey
Shubhangi and Piyush got married in 2003, and within a few years, they welcomed their daughter, Ashi. Breaking societal norms, her ex-husband Piyush quit his job to support Shubhangi's dream of becoming a renowned celebrity

Deepika Padukone steps back from acting role in ‘The Intern' remake to focus on producing: Report

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has decided to step away from acting in the Indian remake of 'The Intern', choosing instead to focus solely on her role as a producer. According to a report by Mid-Day, a source close to the project shared that Padukone will no longer play the female lead in the film. 'This time, Deepika will step away from acting in the film to serve solely as a producer, overseeing the creative and logistical reboot. A new leading lady is being cast to play the part she was once slated to perform,' the source said. Padukone, who has previously co-produced films under her banner KA Productions, is reportedly using this opportunity to widen her creative role in filmmaking. ''The Intern' is the first of five projects she plans to mount in the coming year. She is looking to tell stories that are globally relevant,' the source added. The Intern, a remake of the 2015 Hollywood film starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, was first announced in 2020. Deepika was to play the role made famous by Hathaway, while the late Rishi Kapoor had been cast in De Niro's role. Following Kapoor's passing, Amitabh Bachchan joined the project as the senior intern. Despite the strong buzz, the film has seen several delays. The Covid-19 pandemic, Padukone's maternity break, and scheduling issues have pushed the project back multiple times.

'Hollywood was ugly': 80s star Kelly LeBrock reveals why she ran away from fame and vanished into the wilderness

Kelly LeBrock, the iconic star of 1980s hits 'The Woman in Red' and 'Weird Science', has opened up about why she turned her back on Hollywood at the peak of her fame and chose a quieter life away from the spotlight. Now 65, the British-American actress began modelling at the age of 16 before making the transition to film, quickly rising to stardom. In 1987, she married action star Steven Seagal, with whom she shared the screen in Hard to Kill (1990). The pair had three children before divorcing in 1996. Following the highly publicised split, LeBrock walked away from the entertainment industry and moved to a ranch near Santa Barbara, California, dedicating herself to raising her family. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, she candidly reflected on that life-changing decision. 'I was never impressed with myself or Hollywood. I never really cared about it. And I did the right thing,' LeBrock said, explaining her choice to retreat from fame in favour of family life. "You know, I could always go back to a career, but I couldn't go back to my children," she added. "And that was the most important thing to me was raising my children, because I grew up in boarding school. At five [years old], I was sent away. And I didn't want to have that story for my children." LeBrock, who was born in New York and raised in London, is mother to Annaliza, 38, Dominic, 35, and Arissa, 32. During the interview, she gave a rare update on their lives: Annaliza is currently serving as a deputy sheriff in Siskiyou County, California, while Dominic has recently started working on a film production in Russia. "And I have my lovely youngest daughter who can do whatever she likes," LeBrock said of Arissa, who appeared alongside her mother in the 2017 Lifetime reality series 'Growing Up Supermodel'. LeBrock described her current life as peaceful and grounded, far removed from the fast pace of Hollywood. "I have a bevy of animals, which is what I was doing," she said. "I was taking care of the chickens and the sheep and the goats and the horses and the dogs and the cats." Reflecting further, she added, 'So, I really ran away. I mean, the hardest thing for me is not putting on makeup or trying to look nice. It's trying to get those chin hairs out of my chin. And it's a whole new world. What can I say? But I'm excited about my future. I'm developing a Kelly Care product, which is going to help people with their wounds for their pets and grooming. And I'm excited about that, but not interested in Hollywood.' "The crowd is very ugly, and I didn't want any part of that," she said. "I'm really quite shy, and I'm a homebody. I spent the two years of COVID completely by myself, pretty much in the wilderness. And you learn a lot about yourself when you're not in the noise." "And yeah, life's good now," LeBrock added. Though her departure from the entertainment industry followed her divorce, LeBrock admitted that she had always felt out of place in the world of fame and celebrity.
