"Goodbye Fillings"... Scientists Succeed in Growing Real Human Teeth in Labs for First Time
British scientists have developed a revolutionary technology that could fundamentally change dentistry, allowing patients to no longer need fillings and crowns.
Scientists from King's College London, in collaboration with Imperial College London, have successfully grown human teeth in a lab for the first time in history.
An English newspaper reported on the study, stating that the scientists succeeded in developing a material that mimics the environment necessary for tooth growth, allowing cells to send signals and initiate tooth formation.
The study also confirms that, unlike implants and fillings, a tooth grown from the patient's own cells can be integrated into the person's jaw and restored.
Researchers are exploring two potential uses for this technology: growing the entire tooth in a lab before implanting it, or placing early-stage dental cells directly into the patient's jaw, where they can continue to grow.
Scientists believe that such methods could revolutionize dentistry and provide effective solutions for tooth restoration and regeneration.

The Guardian: lives of hundreds of infants in Gaza threatened by ban on import of baby formula
London – Saba: The British newspaper, The Guardian, revealed on Saturday warnings from doctors in the Gaza Strip of a escalating humanitarian disaster threatening the lives of hundreds of infants due to the severe shortage of baby formula and Israel's ban on its entry into the besieged Strip. The doctors confirmed to the newspaper that Israel continues to prevent the import of baby formula and essential nutritional supplements for breastfeeding mothers, leading to the death of some mothers from starvation and malnutrition, while others suffer from deteriorating health conditions that prevent them from breastfeeding their children. Dr. Ahmed Al-Farra, head of the pediatric department at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, said that the supply of baby formula in his ward is only enough for one week. The doctor has run out of formula milk for premature babies, and is forced to use regular formula and distribute it to the children under his care. According to the report, hundreds of infants are in immediate danger, with deaths among them recorded in recent weeks. Doctors described this as a "worrying sign of an impending famine crisis" that could decimate Gaza's most vulnerable population, particularly children and newborns. The Guardian quoted medical teams as saying that the conditions in Gaza are "unbearable," and that the lack of basic food supplies and primary healthcare will lead to an "unprecedented health catastrophe," amid the continued deterioration of the health system and the scarcity of humanitarian supplies. This report comes at a time when international organizations are increasingly warning of widespread hunger and malnutrition in the Strip, following months of a severe blockade imposed by the Israeli enemy, preventing the entry of sufficient food and medical aid. This threatens a widespread humanitarian crisis unless the blockade is lifted immediately. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
