British scientists have developed a revolutionary technology that could fundamentally change dentistry, allowing patients to no longer need fillings and crowns.
Scientists from King's College London, in collaboration with Imperial College London, have successfully grown human teeth in a lab for the first time in history.
An English newspaper reported on the study, stating that the scientists succeeded in developing a material that mimics the environment necessary for tooth growth, allowing cells to send signals and initiate tooth formation.
The study also confirms that, unlike implants and fillings, a tooth grown from the patient's own cells can be integrated into the person's jaw and restored.
Researchers are exploring two potential uses for this technology: growing the entire tooth in a lab before implanting it, or placing early-stage dental cells directly into the patient's jaw, where they can continue to grow.
Scientists believe that such methods could revolutionize dentistry and provide effective solutions for tooth restoration and regeneration.

Education ministry opens registration for gifted student exams
Sana'a – Saba: Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan al-Saadi, on Saturday officially launched the admission and registration process for competitive exams for the first secondary grade at Jamal Abdulnasser High School for Gifted Students. This marks the start of registration for the upcoming 1447 AH academic year. During the launch, Minister al-Saadi, joined by Deputy Minister Dr. Hatem al-Duais and Undersecretary Hadi Ammar, highlighted the ministry's dedication to supporting exceptional students. He emphasized providing them with an optimal learning environment, recognizing their potential as future scientists. The minister noted that this registration period extends beyond Abdulnasser High School. It also includes Martyr al-Sammad High School for Girls in Sana'a, Martyr al-Sammad High School in Ibb governorate, and Martyr Taha al-Madani High School in Hajjah governorate. He commended the efforts of the staff at these institutions. Director of Abdulnasser Secondary School Dr. Mohammed al-Qasimi provided details on the competitive exam registration. Applications will be accepted until next Thursday. Students must have achieved a minimum GPA of 80 percent in their ninth-grade studies for the 1446 AH academic year. He further clarified that applicants must be Yemeni citizens, no older than 17 years of age, and successfully pass an entrance exam covering core ninth-grade subjects (Arabic, English, Mathematics, and Science), in addition to an IQ test. Competitive Exams begin for Free University Seats in Yemen for Academic Year 1447H
Sana'a - Saba: Today, the competitive exams for free seats in Yemeni public and private universities for the 1447H academic year commenced at the Electronic Testing Center of the Faculty of Dentistry, Sana'a University. The exams cover medical, engineering, administrative, and humanities disciplines. A total of 8,410 students (including 2,685 female students) applied for the exams. Among them, 3,177 students applied for medical disciplines and were tested in Chemistry, Biology, and English. Officials overseeing the exams praised the high level of organization and technical preparations at the testing center, which is equipped with over 1,500 computers and accommodates more than 1,000 students per session. Students were distributed across four daily sessions to ensure smooth exam administration. Exams for engineering, computer science, administrative sciences, and humanities will continue tomorrow (Wednesday), while Thursday is reserved for 2,095 late-registered students who completed payment after the deadline.
