We don't know what the future holds for the Mission: Impossible franchise, but the movies will undoubtedly stand the test of time. For almost 30 years, Tom Cruise has helped turn what could've been a simple TV adaptation into one of our most beloved action franchises. And, starting next week, you can watch along with him as that saga takes its potentially final turn.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is coming to digital on August 19, and io9 has a very fun exclusive clip. It's from one of the release's multiple commentary tracks, this one featuring Cruise himself along with director Christopher McQuarrie. Together, the team geeks out over some of the filmmaking techniques, and Cruise thoroughly enjoys watching himself get hurt performing some of the stunts. Check it out.

It's a fun moment and definitely makes us want to hear more, especially when these scenes are some of the simpler ones in the movie. The submarine heist and plane chase are two of the franchise's biggest scenes ever, so we're excited to hear Cruise and McQuarrie break those down.
That's just one of the many, many features on the digital release, though. Here are some of the other highlights, as per Paramount's press release.

The importance of sibling connections Even at a very young age, children can feel and respond to the presence of their siblings. Research shows that positive sibling relationships contribute to emotional development, social skills, and a sense of security. According to the American Psychological Association, siblings provide emotional support and can help children navigate stress and develop empathy. The Child Mind Institute notes that shared activities and attention from parents encourage strong bonds and can prevent rivalry, especially during transitions like the start of a new school year. How parents can foster sibling bonds Here are expert-backed strategies to strengthen sibling connections: Create greeting rituals – Even simple gestures, like a hug or special handshake when children come home, can reinforce attachment and make reunions something to look forward to. Encourage shared activities – According to author Alli Worthington, Reading, drawing, or collaborative play fosters cooperation and emotional closeness. Promote open communication – As per The Parent Cue, Teaching children to express feelings respectfully helps reduce misunderstandings and strengthens empathy. Model positive interactions – Children learn by example; showing respectful conflict resolution and affection in your own relationships encourages similar behavior among siblings. MSNBC is becoming ‘My Source News Opinion World'

MSNBC is about to look a lot — and sound — a lot different. The cable news network will soon go by My Source News Opinion World (MS NOW) and drop its peacock logo, according to a report from Deadline. The change comes as Comcast, which owns NBCUniversal, plans to spin off its cable business, including networks like MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Oxygen, and E!, into a new company called Versant. In a memo seen by Deadline, MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler told staffers that as part of the transition, NBCUniversal decided that MSNBC needed 'a new, separate identity.' MSNBC originally launched in 1996 as a joint venture between Microsoft and NBC News, though the tech giant sold its majority stake in the network in 2005 and ended its web partnership in 2012. The network has used the peacock logo associated with NBC for nearly three decades. Additionally, Deadline reports that CNBC will keep its name but drop the peacock logo as well. Kutler added that the rebrand won't affect MSNBC's coverage. 'The future of our success is not tied to remaining within the NBC family and using the peacock as part of our identity,' Kutler wrote, according to Deadline. 'While our name will be changing, who we are and what we do will not.' Disclosure: Comcast is an investor in Vox Media, The Verge's parent company.
