Al-Rabaei, Obad Discuss Priorities for Upcoming Development Projects

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rabaei, and the Secretary-General of the Capital, Dr. Hamoud bad, discussed the priorities for the next phase of development projects in the agricultural, fisheries, and water sectors.
The meeting, attended by the Director of Agricultural Services, Dhaifallah Shamlane, reviewed a project to provide agricultural machinery and equipment to establish water caravans that enhance aquifer recharge, in addition to the liquid caravan project aimed at supporting rainwater harvesting efforts.
The meeting also addressed the importance of completing supply chain requirements for the fish product sales outlets project, which aims to deliver fresh, high-quality products to citizens across various provinces. The project also supports contract fishing to provide local raw materials for fish processing industries, reducing import costs.
Discussions included a project to establish cold storage facilities for preserving agricultural products as a strategic step to improve agricultural marketing, along with plans for advertising campaigns promoting local products and creating a permanent exhibition for marketing agricultural goods.
Dr. Radwan Al-Rabaei emphasized that these projects align with current priorities in response to the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, as part of the government's Change and Development Program.
He stressed that preserving water resource sustainability is a national and sacred duty, calling for rational water use, as these projects form a cornerstone for agricultural and fisheries sector growth.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Capital affirmed that the municipality is a key partner in implementing agricultural and fisheries projects, including marketing and water development initiatives.
He noted that these projects are top priorities in the Capital Secretariat's plan for 1447 AH and will be implemented under a comprehensive work program.

The Ministry also stated that its environmental and technical teams are exploring other scientific hypotheses, including potential outbreaks of viral or bacterial diseases affecting the dolphins' nervous systems, or environmental factors such as disrupted ocean currents and changes in sea temperatures, which may have destabilized Socotra's surrounding ecosystem. The statement stressed that what is happening off the coast of Socotra is a deliberate assault on Yemen's marine resources and a blatant violation of national sovereignty. It held the UAE and other complicit foreign entities fully accountable for the escalating environmental crimes and their consequences. The Ministry called for an urgent national and international investigation to hold the responsible parties accountable. It also urged the United Nations and global environmental organizations to intervene immediately to protect the Socotra Archipelago, which is listed as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, from what it described as deliberate and systematic destruction. Agriculture Ministry launches water resources services via "Tabsit" E-Portal
Sana'a - Saba: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources announced the launch of a range of water resources services through the "Tabsit" e-services portal, aiming to modernize work methods, streamline procedures, and improve service quality and accessibility. The new services include well-drilling, groundwater exploration, well water usage rights registration, mineral drinking water purification and bottling plants, well water sales and distribution, water transport and distribution companies, as well as drinking water purification and bottling stations ("Al-Kawthar"). The ministry emphasized that this step reflects its commitment to regulating water resource-related activities and ensuring compliance with technical and health standards, thereby enhancing water resource protection and management, safeguarding consumers, and improving oversight of provided services. Launch Project to address flood damage & protect villages & farmlands in Tihama
Hodeida - Saba: Dr. Radwan Al-Ruba'i, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, and Abdullah Atifi, Governor of Al-Hodeida, inaugurated on Monday a project to address flood damage , protect villages and agricultural lands in Tihama. During the launch, Minister Al-Ruba'i stated that the project comes in response to the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, and the instructions of the President of the Supreme Political Council, as part of the government's Change and Development Program.
