Multiple people arrested after vape shop sting operation in Greenbrier County
According to a press release, the two-day operation was led by the Greenbrier Prosecutor's Office and involved members of the Greenbrier County Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, Greenbrier County Sheriff's Office, the Lewisburg Police Department, and West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration, West Virginia Tax Division, and West Virginia Department of Agriculture representatives.
Warrants issued in relation to fight after local high school graduation
The press release stated that compliance checks and undercover buys were carried out by members of the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control, West Virginia Tax Division, and West Virginia Department of Agriculture at multiple locations that ran under state licensing agreements as part of the operation. The operation discovered violations at various locations that resulted in law enforcement continuing to investigate.
According to the release, The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Office and Lewisburg Police Department made multiple arrests on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 'Vape' and 'THC' shops in various parts of Greenbrier County due to the investigation results.
The arrests that were made included:
Avanibahen Patel: Charged with felony offenses of distributing or selling a hemp-derived cannabinoid product to a person under 21-years-old, as well as possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Posted a $50,000 cash only bond and was released.
Mushsen Mohammad: Charged with felony offenses of distributing or selling a hemp-derived cannabinoid product to a person under 21-years-old, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Mohammad is held on a $50,000 cash only bond at Southern Regional Jail.
Marwan Saleh Al Kaaiti: Charged with the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and is being held at Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.
Joseph Awahad Mohamed Algammel: Charged with the felony offenses of distributing or selling a hemp-derived cannabinoid product to a person under 21-years-old; and Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance. He is being held at Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.
Taksh Pareshbhai Patel: Charged with the felony offenses of distributing or selling a hemp-derived cannabinoid product to a person under 21-years-old, as well as Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance. Patel is being held at Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.
Anant Patel: Charged with the felony offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, and is being held at Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.
Isaac Bladen: Charged with the misdemeanor offenses of two counts of Obstructing an Officer and Disorderly Conduct. Bladen posted $2,500 PR Bond and was released.
Khaldoon Alsaedi: Charged with the felony offense of Deliver of a Controlled Substance and the misdemeanor count of Failure to Maintain Drug Paraphernalia Records, and is being held at Southern Regional Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.

According to the press release, three out of the five businesses had cash seizures due to the operation, and resulted in the seizure of an estimated amount of more than $10,333. The true amount of money that was seized will only known once put into the GVDVCTF seizure account.

North Strabane vape shop manager taken into custody following police investigation
The manager of a North Strabane Township vape shop was taken into custody and could soon be facing criminal charges following a police investigation into illegal activity. North Strabane Police said that detectives executed a search warrant at the Washington Vape & Tobacco shop located along Rt. 19 on Friday that was part of an investigation into potentially illegal business activities. Police said that during the search of the business, officers seized a number of illegal items, including marijuana, THC products, counterfeit vape cartridges, psychedelic substances, and different kinds of drug paraphernalia. According to police, the investigation shows that business was violating a number of state and local laws when it comes to the sale of controlled substances. "It was also discovered that the store sold products to younger-looking customers without requiring identification," police said. Police said the manager of the shop was taken into custody following the search of the store and that criminal charges are being considered at this time. Investigators: THC vape cartridges delivered to home; Scranton man arrested
A Scranton man was arrested July 3 after police tracked a package containing 500 THC vape cartridges to a local residence, according to the criminal complaint. During the month of July, investigators from the Lackawanna County district attorney's office, State Police Troop R Vice Unit and the Scranton Police Department Street Crimes Unit received a tip about illegal controlled substances being delivered to a local residence via delivery service and established surveillance there. At about 3:30 p.m. July 3, investigators spotted a UPS driver dropping off at package at the suspect address. Shortly afterward a red Toyota Prius pulled up and parked near the residence. According to the complaint: The driver, later identified as Benny Centeno, 25, got out of the vehicle with a backpack and entered the residence. A short time later, Centeno, of 831 Beech St., left the residence with the backpack visibly heavier and drove east on Delaware Street. The windows on the sedan were illegally tinted, and, given the corroborating information, investigators moved in to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Delaware Street. After Centeno was arrested, he told officers there were marijuana vape cartridges inside the vehicle and gave them permission to search. Investigators found five boxes, each containing 100 THC cartridges inside the vehicle. Centeno faces a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, as well as misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on July 17 before District Judge Paul Keeler. Centeno remains at Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.

2 arrested during vape shop raid in Armstrong County
Two people were arrested during a police raid of an Armstrong County vape shop on Tuesday. Manor Township Supervisor Donald Palmer Jr. confirmed officers made two arrests. The two suspects were taken to the Manor Township Police Department. No charges have been formally filed as of Tuesday night. Law enforcement raided Ford City Smoke and Vape on Main Street on Tuesday. The building's owner, John Oliver, said police told him two workers from the shop were arrested and police collected evidence. Oliver said the lease for the store was signed in February 2024. The owner of the vape shop, Sal Saleh, said he didn't "know why they arrested them." Palmer said this was part of an ongoing investigation. The circumstances surrounding the raid were not immediately clear. The Armstrong County district attorney was not available for comment on Tuesday night.
