Brad Pitt breaks his silence on finalizing divorce from Angelina Jolie after 8 years

Yahoo21 hours ago

Brad Pitt is finally speaking about the end of Brangelina.
In a new interview with GQ, the 61-year-old was asked if he felt 'relief' finalizing his divorce from ex-wife Angelina Jolie in December after a turbulent eight-year legal battle.
'No, I don't think it was that major of a thing,' the 'F1' star said. 'Just something coming to fruition. Legally.'
Pitt also acknowledged that his 'personal life is always in the news.'
'It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way,' he said.
'It's been an annoyance I've had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do,' Pitt continued of his celebrity status. 'So, it's always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that, I don't know. I don't know.
'Mostly I feel pretty … My life is fairly contained,' he shared. 'It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it's like this fly buzzing around a little bit.'
Jolie and Pitt first met on the set of 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' in 2005. They got married in 2014.
Two years later, Jolie filed for divorce from the 'Fight Club' actor following an alleged altercation on a plane with their six children present. Pitt was investigated after the alleged incident and wasn't charged by authorities.
The exes have three biological children, Shiloh, 19, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, and three adopted children, Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, and Zahara, 20.
After their split, Pitt and Jolie spent nearly a decade fighting over the custody of their children and the division of their assets.
They also engaged in a still-unresolved court battle tied to their French vineyard, Château Miraval, which they bought in 2008.
On Dec. 30, 2024, Jolie's lawyer confirmed that the former couple finally reached a settlement in their divorce, five years after they were declared legally single.
'More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,' the 'Maleficent' star's lawyer said in a statement last year.
'This is just one part of a long, ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over,' the statement added.
While Pitt didn't comment on the divorce settlement at the time, a source told People magazine that the 'Wolfs' actor, who has been dating Ines de Ramon since 2022, was 'happy that the divorce is behind him.'
While Jolie is close to her six children, Pitt is believed to be estranged from his kids. Shiloh even legally dropped her famous father's last name last year.

Logan Paul's jaw-dropping springboard moonsault wows fans at WWE Money in the Bank

Logan Paul has continuously performed highlight reel-worthy moves in the WWE ring since he became a member of the company a few years ago. Saturday night's Money in the Bank may have taken the cake. Paul teamed up with John Cena to take on Cody Rhodes and world heavyweight champion Jey Uso in the latest chapter of Cena's farewell tour. Cena interrupted Paul's title match at "Saturday Night's Main Event" last month, leading to the return of Rhodes. In the last few weeks, the four men have taken sides, and it culminated into a match. He hit a few of his signature moves during the match – a frog splash here, a Paul-verizer there. But fans jumped out of their seats when he and Uso fought outside the ring. Paul put Uso on top of one of the announcer tables. He then went to the apron and looked back to check Uso a couple of times before he hopped onto the middle rope and did a moonsault to crash onto Uso. The two pro wrestlers went through the table together in what may have been the moment of the night. Unfortunately for the Paul-Cena team, the match didn't go into their favor. As the referee checked on both Paul and Uso, Cena hit Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Championship belt. Then R-Truth made a shocking appearance to cost Cena the match. Rhodes hit Cena with the Cross Rhodes and pinned him for the win. But Paul's move caught the eye of WWE fans. Jake Paul even weighed in with his take. "My brother is the best wrestler in the WWE," the boxer wrote on X. It's unclear what's next for Logan Paul. Cena, leaning into his heel character, dubbed Paul the future face of WWE. Paul has certainly shown he has the move set for it. Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Kobe Bryant mural vandalized for 2nd time days before riots grip Los Angeles

A mural dedicated to the late Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, in downtown Los Angeles was vandalized just a few days before the city exploded into riots over the Trump administration's illegal immigration raids. The "Mambas Forever" artwork showed the late Bryant family members embracing each other. White spray paint was used to deface the piece, according to FOX 11 Los Angeles. The mural is located in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles, about 20 miles from Paramount, where the riots have taken place for several days. The artwork had just been restored on May 30 after it was initially defaced in April. Lakers star Luka Doncic helped pay for the mural's restoration at the time. It took weeks for the mural to be restored. Artist Louise Palsino celebrated the restoration just a few days ago in a post on Instagram. "Fully restored Kobe and Gigi mural all thanks to @lukadoncic and everyone who donated to the go fund me," he wrote. "It's great how a bad situation can bring so many people together to bring something back greater. There was so many people that had showed up to help out and it was highly appreciated. I really felt the LOS ANGELES love on this one." No suspects have been named. It's unclear if the mural will be restored for a second time. Bryant, an NBA superstar who spent his 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers, and his daughter were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas in January 2020. Seth Rollins, Naomi win Money in the Bank ladder matches

WWE championships in the men's and women's divisions officially received top contenders at Money in the Bank on Saturday night. Seth Rollins and Noami won their respective matches and can cash-in an opportunity for a WWE championship any time and any place. Rollins climbed to the top of the ladder in his match, beating out LA Knight, Solo Sikoa, Andrade, El Grande Americano and Penta. Rollins got help from Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker to stymie some of the competition in the ring. Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo tried to help Sikoa. But Fatu turned on Sikoa and put him through a ladder. Knight thought he had a clear opportunity, once again, to grab the Money in the Bank briefcase and potentially change the trajectory of his career. However, Rollins pulled Knight down and countered a BFT attempt. Rollins threw Knight into the ladder and then hit him with a Stomp. Rollins climbed up the ladder to retrieve the briefcase. It's the second time Rollins has won the match in his career. He was the first one to cash-in at WrestleMania when he did it at WrestleMania at WrestleMania 31. Now, he'll either have John Cena or Jey Uso in his crosshairs. The women's division was warned to "proceed with caution" as Naomi became an instant contender with her Money in the Bank win. There was really no odds-on favorite for the women's match. Naomi, Giulia, Roxanne Perez, Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss and Stephanie Vaquer had great shots at winning. Vaquer may have been at a disadvantage after being in three matches in 24 hours, including a tag-team match with Lola Vice at Worlds Collide. Ripley and Bliss were among the final two to climb the ladder, but Naomi came into the ring and disrupted their momentum. Naomi tipped the ladder over, sending Bliss crashing to the mat and Ripley onto another ladder. Naomi climbed the ladder and grabbed the briefcase for the win. She will now have either WWE women's champion Tiffany Stratton or women's world champion Iyo Sky in her crosshairs. She's also still in a bitter feud with Jade Cargill. It's sure to be an eventful year for both competitors.
