Eminem Joins Kendrick Lamar With Multiple Top 10 Bestsellers
Eminem's 'Shake That' returns to the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, joining 'Lose Yourself' ... More as the rapper doubles up on the tally. UNSPECIFIED - JANUARY 01: Photo of EMINEM (Photo by Sal Idriss/Redferns) Eminem stands out from so many other rappers thanks to his ability to continuously sell music from his catalog, and not just see it perform well on streaming platforms. He demonstrates that ability again this week, as one of his singles returns to a Billboard list focused solely on pure purchases, and it joins one of his all-time classics in doing so. The rapper matches one of the most exciting superstars in his chosen field today as he doubles up on the tally. "Shake That," Eminem's collaboration with Nate Dogg, returns to the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart this week. The cut barely manages to reenter the ranking of the bestselling tunes that can be classified as R&B, rap, or hip-hop in the U.S., landing in last place. "Shake That" joins "Lose Yourself," which lifts one space to No. 7. As "Shake That" returns, Eminem joins Kendrick Lamar as the only two musicians to occupy more than one space on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales list. Lamar claims twice as many current wins as Eminem, with four current smashes. Lamar also manages to rank higher than Eminem this period – though both of the latter musician's current bestsellers are much, much older than Lamar's. His tunes "Luther" with SZA, "Not Like Us," and "Put TV Off" with Lefty Gunplay and 'Squabble Up' appear at Nos. 4, 6, 9, and 11, respectively. A number of other hip-hop powerhouses manage to remain on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart as well, but at the moment, none fill more than a single space. "Anxiety" by Doechii leads for its fourth frame, which represents the entirety of its time on the roster. Drake's former No. 1 "Nokia" dips to third place, landing just ahead of Lamar's highest-rising success. Several other well-known figures like The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, and Pharrell Williams also take up space with former champions. "Shake That" was released decades ago, but has recently surged in popularity after going viral. The tune peaked at No. 8 earlier this month and is one of Eminem's 69 top 10 hits on the tally. "Lose Yourself," which has now spent 468 frames somewhere on this roster, has somehow only ever peaked at No. 2.

Some Great News About ‘Your Friends And Neighbors' Season 2's Release Date
Your Friends and Neighbors Apple Apple has found yet another new hit in the form of its #1 show, Your Friends and Neighbors, which just had its season 1 finale this week. Now, there's some promising news about season 2, and not just the fact that it exists. Your Friends and Neighbors was in fact renewed for season 2 by Apple all the way back in November of 2024, way before the first season even aired, expressing a lot of confidence in the product. That's allowed an expedited production on season 2, and what we know now is that filming has already begun on season 2 as season 1 has been airing. That points to a shorter wait than the interminable gaps we get between most seasons of shows in the current streaming era. Apple wants to get more seasons out after the series was the most-watched new Apple drama ever when it premiered. Apple TV+ has a better track record with putting out timely content than many other services, including some wild examples like the non-stop production of Slow Horses, which is constantly renewed early and starts filming early. It releases every year without fail, and some gaps between seasons have even been under a year, which is unheard of. Your Friends and Neighbors Apple Filming for Your Friends and Neighbors season 1 began in April of 2024, and the show was released on April of 2025. So, by that standard, if it's filming now, we may in fact get that year-long gap we hope for, if all goes to plan. We know that season 2 will star James Marsden alongside Jon Hamm this time. Season 1 got solid reviews from both critics and audiences, an 81% and 80% score, respectively, a rare agreement. It joins Apple's long, long list of quality shows, and the under-watched service has the highest batting average of any streaming service, even if it produces less series overall. That is probably part of the reason why, honestly. If you're thinking about checking out Your Friends and Neighbors, here's the synopsis: 'After being fired in disgrace, a hedge fund manager resorts to stealing from his neighbors' homes in the affluent Westmont Village, only to discover that the secrets hidden behind the wealthy facades might be more dangerous.' Jon Hamm is on a roll this past year, starring both in this and having a high-profile supporting role in Paramount+'s hit Landman. Hamm has found steady work since his iconic turn as Don Draper in Mad Men, which ended in 2015 (hard to believe). But this may be his best era since then. We'll look for more info about Your Friends and Neighbors season 2 soon.

His starry Broadway shows have become pop culture events
NEW YORK — If you've seen a celebrity on a sparse stage in recent years, chances are they were in a revival directed by Jamie Lloyd. There was Jessica Chastain, as a wife mostly confined to a chair until she walked out on her husband in 'A Doll's House,' on Broadway in 2023. Before that, Tom Hiddleston as a cuckold coolly navigating infidelity in 'Betrayal,' first on London's West End and then on Broadway in 2019. Both earned Lloyd Tony nominations for best director and a reputation as a promising young Brit with a distinct point of view.
