The rematch we've all been waiting for is finally here.
Starting Wednesday, June 4 at Edmonton's Rogers Place, the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers will meet in the Stanley Cup Finals for the second consecutive season.
In the off-chance you need a refresher, Matthew Tkachuk's Panthers went up 3-0 last year before squandering that cushy advantage after Connor McDavid's Oilers evened the score and won three in a row. In the decisive seventh game, Florida held on and was given the honor of owning the Cup.
This season, the hockey clubs met twice on the ice in December 2024 and February 2025; the reliable Panthers won both of those high-scoring contests.
Over the course of the postseason, Florida manhandled the Tampa Bay Lightning, squeaked past the Toronto Maple Leafs in seven and put the Carolina Hurricanes to pasture in the Eastern Conference Finals. As for Edmonton, they took down the Los Angeles Kings, Vegas Golden Knights and Dallas Stars with relative ease.
What will happen this year?
Although we can't predict what will happen when Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov and Sam Bennett face off against McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard, we do know the best way to find out is live.
If you want to witness this high-stakes series IRL — the first rematch since 2009's Penguins-Red Wings showdown — tickets are available for all seven hypothetical 2025 Stanley Cup games.
At the time of publication, the lowest price on tickets for games at Edmonton's Rogers Place was $577 USD including fees on Vivid Seats.
Prices start at $518 including fees for to see the Florida Panthers on their home Amerant Bank Arena ice in Sunrise, FL.
