'Colour of the season' River Island midi dress looks 'unreal'
River Island customers are lavishing praise on an "unreal" dress that's been making waves on social media. The high street retailer is renowned for its fashion hits, and it seems there might be a new crowd-pleaser on the racks.
The retailer is offering the Yellow Sleeveless Corset Detail Midi Dress, which carries a price tag of £99. Available in either yellow or white, the dress is currently in stock in sizes six to 18.
The dress boasts a v-neck, sleeveless design, with adjustable straps, midi length and zip fastening. The standout corset detail lends the garment an elegant silhouette.
The dress is crafted from 97% Cotton and 3% Elastane, with shoppers advised to cool iron the product and, when machine washing, use a 30°C, gentle setting. River Island has cautioned shoppers against tumble drying or dry cleaning the dress.
The dress has been shared widely across social media, attracting plenty of attention from intrigued shoppers. Instagram page @welovethehighstreet posted a video showcasing the midi dress, reports the Mirror.
The post was captioned: "The perfect occasion dress in the trending colour of the season." The video garnered hundreds of likes and numerous comments from eager fans.
Among them, one person exclaimed: "Unreal", while another penned: "Love." However, one detail caught the eye of some.
One shopper remarked: "But why is the zip black." Another commented: "lush but then why put that ghastly zip on."

TikTok user Lucy (@lucyameliaross) has also posted a video of the River Island dress, with text over the clip stating: "POV: you found River Island's next viral yellow dress."

His internet fame quickly evolved. He signed a multi-year partnership with designer brand Hugo Boss in 2022. In January, he was appointed as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
