Congratulations to Plainfield's Kami Arnett on being voted Player of the Week for April 14-19! The senior pitcher scored five hits (including two doubles and a homer), four RBIs and three runs scored across three games at the plate, and put together a pair of strong pitching performances. She totaled 10 strikeouts over seven innings against Whiteland, then pitched a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a five-inning win over Avon.
Here were the top performers from the past week.
Elise Baker, Roncalli
Baker highlighted her week with a walk-off base hit in an extra innings win over Hagerstown on Wednesday. That clutch hit capped a two-hit, two-RBI performance. She also notched a double, a run scored and two RBIs vs. Southport; two hits and two runs vs. South Bend Saint Joseph; a run scored vs. Kokomo; and three hits, two runs and an RBI vs. Westfield. The junior totaled 10 strikeouts and did not allow a run on eight hits across three appearances in the circle.

Reagan Bauer, Mooresville
Bauer allowed just two runs on seven hits with 20 strikeouts over 14 innings pitched last week. She spun a one-hit shutout with 12Ks against Perry Meridian, then helped secure a win over Brownsburg by holding the Dawgs to two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts. Bauer also totaled three hits (one homer), two runs and four RBIs at the plate.
Grace Cook, Martinsville
Cook made three appearances last week, posting a 1.44 ERA with 13 strikeouts. She was solid in a pair of relief appearances, then pitched a five-inning no-hitter on Saturday, striking out nine and issuing zero walks.
Jordyn Crouch, Whiteland
The sophomore struck out 10 and allowed only two runs on nine hits across seven innings in a 4-2 win over Hamilton Southeastern on Saturday. Crouch also went the distance against Franklin, allowing a single unearned run on five hits with nine strikeouts and two walks. She was 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and three RBIs against Warren Central.
Maddie Engle, New Palestine
The senior played a starring role in the Dragons' four-run win over Zionsville, going 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and a run scored. Engle finished the week with six hits, three runs, six RBIs, two homers and a triple.
Sidney Feczko, Cathedral
Feczko pitched 14 innings, striking out 23 hitters and allowing only two hits (one in each game). Her one run allowed was unearned and she eclipsed 100 strikeouts on the season (104 currently).
Julie Garrison, Shelbyville
Garrison finished the week 5-for-9 across three games. She was 2-for-3 with two doubles, four RBIs and a run scored in a 12-9 win over Columbus East, and was perfect on six total chances in the field.
Amya Gary, Cathedral
The junior outfielder collected seven hits and four RBIs across four games. She had three hits (all doubles), three RBIs and two runs scored against Kokomo and posted two hits and scored twice in a 4-0 win over Kokomo on Saturday. Gary's batting .562 on the season.
Leah Helton, Zionsville
Helton, hitter: 5-for-11, four runs scored, five RBIs (all in an 8-1 win over Brownsburg). Helton, pitcher: 13 innings pitched, 17 strikeouts (11 Ks, one unearned run allowed on four hits in a complete game vs. Brownsburg).
Olivia Jones, Yorktown
Jones spun a one-hit shutout of New Palestine, striking out four batters and issuing only one walk. She finished the week with 11 Ks over 16 innings pitched. The freshman also went 5-for-7 at the plate with five RBIs and two doubles. She had a two-RBI hit in a 2-0 win over New Pal.
Bailey Paddock, Brownsburg
Paddock collected six hits across the week, but her biggest contribution came at the Carmel Invite: A walk-off triple in the seventh to secure a 1-0 win over Castle. Paddock notched a pair of RBIs and two runs scored in her four games played.
Kristen Soots, Indian Creek
Soots finished an explosive week at the plate with a 3-for-4 showing in a 5-4 win over Greenfield-Central that included a triple and three runs scored. She was 3-for-3 with three runs, two RBIs, a double and a triple against Cloverdale and 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored against Brown County. Soots also stole four bases.
Makayla Watson, Westfield
Watson went 7-for-13 with two RBIs, six runs scored and four stolen bases. Her best performance of the week came against Fishers: 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs. Watson was also perfect in the field, converting five putouts on five chances in the outfield.
Phoebe Wood, Penn
Wood collected six hits, three RBIs and three runs scored. She went 3-for-3 in a 3-0 win over Pendleton Heights, scored a key run against Noblesville and recorded 31 putouts, an assist and committed just one error.
Izzy Zapp, Noblesville
Zapp crushed her first career homer to lift the 10th-ranked Millers to a 7-4 win over No. 1 Lake Central. Her three-run sixth-inning blast highlighted a 2-for-3 day at the plate. She finished the week with seven hits (two doubles), four runs scored and four RBIs; she also converted all seven opportunities in the outfield. Zapp has 12 hits, 10 runs scored and nine RBIs this season.
