IndiGo Pune-Hyderabad flight diverted to Vijayawada due to heavy air traffic: Sources

New Delhi [India], June 29 (ANI): An IndiGo flight from Pune to Hyderabad was diverted to Vijayawada on Sunday due to heavy air traffic in Hyderabad airspace, according to sources.
Sources said that the flight (6E-6473) had departed from Pune Airport at 8:43 AM on Sunday and was en route to Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
It later landed at Hyderabad airport at 12:38 PM, they added.
Earlier, Air India flight AI357, operating from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to Delhi, was diverted to make an unscheduled landing in Kolkata on Sunday as a precautionary measure following elevated cabin temperatures during the journey.
According to an official statement from the airline, the flight landed safely and is currently being inspected.
'Air India flight AI357, operating from Haneda to Delhi on 29 June 2025, made a precautionary diversion to Kolkata due to persistent warm temperatures experienced in the cabin. The aircraft landed safely in Kolkata and is currently undergoing checks,' said the Air India spokesperson.
The airline further said, 'Our ground colleagues in Kolkata are providing all necessary support to passengers to minimise the inconvenience caused by this unforeseen diversion. Alternative arrangements are being made to fly our passengers to Delhi at the earliest. We regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers.' (ANI)

The exercise aimed to assess emergency preparedness in case of landslides or natural disasters during the pilgrimage. The simulation involved rescuing stranded vehicles and providing immediate aid to injured pilgrims, with security and disaster response teams efficiently coordinating evacuation and medical assistance. During the drill, a mock victim was safely rescued by the joint teams, administered first aid, and transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance. The exercise demonstrated seamless coordination among agencies for rapid response in real emergencies. Deputy SP (Headquarters) Udhampur, Prehlad Kumar, emphasised that security forces are fully equipped to handle any challenges during the yatra and ensure pilgrims' safety. J&K: Offline registration for Amarnath Yatra begins today in Jammu at special centres set by Administration
Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir) [India], June 30 (ANI): The Amarnath Yatra is set to commence on July 3, and the registration is underway for devotees who have not yet registered for the Yatra through online mode. A large number of devotees have visited the special centre as registration begins today at the centres set up by the administration. The Yatra will begin on July 3 through the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. A devotee who came to the centre for registration said, 'The people are enthusiastic this time. There is no fear (due to the Pahalgam attack). Arrangements are good. The administration is with us.' Another devotee added, 'You can see the enthusiasm in the people. I have faith in Amarnath. They (terrorists) can do whatever they want; we will not be affected. I want to request all the people to visit J&K so that our army and government can say that we are not affected by their (terrorists) actions.' Char Dham Yatra: 24-hour ban lifted, weather conditions being monitored
The 24-hour suspension of the Char Dham Yatra, issued on June 29 as a precautionary measure following heavy rain and adverse weather conditions in Uttarakhand, was lifted on Monday morning. Garhwal Division Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey told news agency ANI that district magistrates across the Char Dham route have been directed to monitor weather conditions and halt vehicles as required to ensure the safety of pilgrims. The yatra was temporarily halted after a cloudburst near Silai Band on the Barkot–Yamunotri road in Uttarkashi district caused severe damage to a hotel construction site and triggered a massive landslide. Two dead, seven missing after landslide The landslide near Barkot claimed the lives of two workers and left seven others missing. The deceased have been identified as 43-year-old Kewal Bisht from Karmamohani, Rajapur District in Nepal, and 55-year-old Duje Lal from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred in the Baligarh area, severely disrupting the Yamunotri route. Rescue efforts are underway, with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and local police engaged in search operations. Infrastructure repairs in progress Officials confirmed that repair work on the landslide-affected Barkot–Yamunotri road had been completed by June 29. Uttarkashi District Magistrate Prashant Arya said the washout near Silai Band was restored to ensure safe passage, and additional restoration efforts are in progress along other damaged stretches. The 33 KV power line in the affected area has also been restored, while work is underway to repair the 11 KV power line to fully stabilise the region's infrastructure.
