By Saturday morning, one to one-and-a-half feet of water was reported at Kane Nagar bus stand and MGR Chowk in Antop Hill, causing heavy traffic snarls.
BEST officials said 51 routes had to be diverted and some buses were stranded on flooded stretches.
In the Wadala depot division, route 521 was rerouted from B.A. Road to Matunga Circle via Bhaudaji Marg around 5 am, before being restored once water receded. Waterlogging at Ajit Glass in Goregaon forced diversions on five routes, while two services in Malad were diverted due to flooding at Malad subway.
Rail operations were also hit. Central Railway cancelled 28 services during the morning peak—13 on the Main line and 15 on the Harbour line—because of incessant rain and waterlogging.

A precautionary speed restriction between Tilak Nagar and Kurla slowed Harbour line services by 15–20 minutes, while trains on the Main line too ran nearly 20 minutes late. Areas around CSMT, Chunabhatti and Kurla remained badly affected.
