UP Board class 10 and 12 results on Friday; students can access digital marksheets
PRAYAGRAJ The UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), commonly known as UP Board, will announce the results of its High School (class 10) and Intermediate (class 12) examinations at 12:30 pm on Friday. In a first, more than 54 lakh students will be able to access their digital marksheets on DigiLocker, complete with digital signatures, stated a communique of the Board.
Board secretary Bhagwati Singh informed that students will no longer have to collect their marksheets from their schools as the same would be available on DigiLocker. To download the marksheet, High School students will need to enter their roll number and date of birth on DigiLocker. Intermediate students will have to provide their roll number and their mother's name to access their digital marksheets.
Director of secondary education department Mahendra Dev and UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh will release the results from the Board headquarters in Prayagraj at 12:30pm. The results can also be accessed on the Board's website - upmsp.edu.in - and NIC's website - upresults.nic.in.
According to official records, out of 54,37,233 students enrolled for the Board's 2025 examinations — 27,32,216 were High School students and 27,05,017 Intermediate students.
The examinations were held under three-layer hit-tech monitoring through a network of over 3 lakh CCTV cameras positioned all over the state, including high resolution cameras outside all strong rooms besides 2.91 voice recorder enabled cameras in 1.33 lakh classrooms of 8140 examination centres, which deterred proxy solvers from meddling with conduct of examinations.
A total of 306 centres were marked hypersensitive and 692 sensitive.
According to psychologists, many students come under mental stress at the time of results, especially if the results are against expectations. According to Usha Chandra, director of Prayagraj-based Bureau of Psychology, UP, it was important that students get the right mental and emotional support by family members at this time.

CM exhorts students to protect public property
Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday exhorted students to protect public property, saying these are collective assets and damaging them harm the nation. "Do not damage national property. If someone is doing so, stop them. If you feel powerless, report it. Share a photo, we will handle the rest and recover the damages. Public property is national property and a collective responsibility," he said. He was speaking during a function to felicitate meritorious students, who excelled in state and national board exams, and the 68th National School Sports Competition 2024-25 held in Ranchi this Jan. Speaking about the transformation of education in UP, Yogi said over the past 8 years, the condition and working of schools and secondary education has changed dramatically. "Before 2017, basic education was in decline and secondary education was marred by widespread cheating. Earlier govts introduced two major 'businesses' in UP, one of cheating and the other of transfer-posting. Exam centres were operated on a wholesale basis for cheating. External candidates filled out forms, and someone else appeared in their place for the exams. Simultaneously, transfer and posting became an entire industry. The BJP govt cracked down on these industries and brought in fair practices," he said. Yogi added that at exam centres, various mechanisms like CCTV surveillance, boundary walls, adequate infrastructure, and proper furniture, have been put in place to prevent cheating. "Exams that used to stretch over two to three months are now completed within 13-14 days," he said. Highlighting the state of recruitment in the state, the CM said over 8 lakh were given govt jobs across sectors. On June 15, 60,244 police personnel will be receiving appointment letters in the presence of Union home minister Amit Shah. Among these, over 12,000 are women. Calling the result of the Board exams "surprising" where girls performed better than boys, the CM awarded Rs 1,00,000 in cash, a tablet, a certificate of appreciation, and a medal to students who ranked in the merit list. At the district level, meritorious students received Rs 21,000 in cash, a tablet, a certificate, and a medal. To the gold medalists of the National School Sports Competition, the govt awarded Rs 75,000 to gold winners, Rs 50,000 to silver and Rs 30,000 to bronze medalists. In team events, the prize money was Rs 35,000 for gold, Rs 25,000 for silver, and Rs 15,000 for bronze. The CM also laid the foundation stone for the new buildings of the UP Secondary Sanskrit Education Council, established in 2001, and its directorate. The new complex will cost Rs over 42 crore and will include a Sanskrit library, facilities for training, conversation and other programmes. A new building for the Government Girls Intermediate College will be constructed on Jagat Narayan Road in Lucknow under 'Project Alankar' at an outlay of Rs 48.92 crore. Alos, the govt has allocated Rs 10.36 crore for a new building of Government Girls Inter College, Malihabad. Around Rs 20 crore is being spent on two new Sanskrit schools with hostels in Chandauli and Bhadohi. The CM also announced an MoU between the secondary education department, Tata Nelco, and Japan's Yaskawa under which students will have the opportunity of learning skills along with academics. Under this initiative, the govt will establish design, robotics, and electronics labs in govt secondary schools, with an investment of Rs 162.72 crore. CSBC to conduct six-phase written examination for 19,838 constable posts in Bihar from July 16
Ahead of the Assembly election, the Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) is set to conduct a six-phase written examination for the recruitment of 19,838 constable posts in Bihar, commencing July 16. The examination will be conducted across 627 centres in all 38 districts of the State on six dates: July 16, 20, 23, 27, 30, and August 3. 'An advertisement to fill up the 19,838 posts of constables was issued on March 11, which was later extended up to April 25. The Board received a total of 17,06,628 online applications for registration. A total of 16,73,586 applications were found valid after scrutiny,' CSBC Chairman and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jitendra Kumar said at a press briefing in Patna. During scrutiny, 10,947 applications were found incomplete, 20,940 candidates withdrew their applications, and 1,155 were rejected due to various reasons. 'The final list, after scrutiny, was uploaded to the Board's website on June 6,' Mr. Kumar added. When asked about the number of female applicants, Mr. Kumar stated, 'Right now, I do not have numbers with me but there is a 35% quota for women and hence the number may not be less than five to six lakh.' Reiterating the Board's commitment to conduct a fair and transparent examination, Mr. Kumar said, 'Elaborate arrangements are being made by the Board, police headquarters, and the State government. District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police will be given proper guidelines from the top level to ensure fair examination.' District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police have been appointed as Exam Coordinator and Exam Co-Coordinator, respectively. Outlining the security protocols, the Chairman said local police are maintaining strict vigilance and collecting intelligence from hostels, lodges, coaching centres, and other potential gathering spots for candidates. 'Exam centres and halls will be monitored through CCTV cameras, and the live feed will be available at the control room of the Board's headquarters. Jammers capable of blocking 5G and Wi-Fi signals will be installed at all centres. Centre Superintendents will be connected via a hotline to ensure smooth conduct,' Mr. Kumar said. To prevent any undue advantage, candidates will not be allotted centres in their home districts. The Board will announce examination dates and centre details on its official website after June 20, 2025. Allotments will be done through randomisation. The two-hour examination will begin at 12 noon. Candidates will be allowed entry between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. They are required to bring their e-admit card along with a valid photo identification document such as Aadhaar, passport, PAN card, or EPIC. Candidates are not required to bring any writing materials, as the Board will provide pens and question booklets at the examination centres.

PSEB junior assistant suspended for tampering with office records
Taking strict action against its employee for tampering with office records, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has suspended a junior assistant following a departmental inquiry. The junior assistant, Vishal Nayyar, posted in the examination branch (Class 10 registration), has also lost his annual promotion. Meanwhile, the board dropped charges against four other officers, only reprimanding them for negligence. The action came in connection with a 2020 controversy, when roll number records were tampered with in the computer system of the board's computer cell in violation of PSEB Employee Conduct Rules 5 and 8. Board chairman Amarpal Singh said notices were issued on May 12, 2020, to several employees, including senior assistants Jagtar Singh and Raminder Singh Mangi; and junior assistants Ramandeep Kaur, Kanwaljit Kaur, Amarinder Singh, Chamandeep Kaur, Bhawna Sethi and Vishal Nayyar. A departmental inquiry was conducted under retired IAS officer Jagjit Puri through official orders dated August 13, 2020. The inquiry acquitted most accused of all charges, except Nayyar. Meanwhile, Manjinder Singh (helper) and Jugraj Khan (daily wager) were held responsible for pursuing the case. Additionally, Ashok Kumar (superintendent, computer cell), Gurtej Singh (deputy director, computer, now deputy secretary), and Navneet Kaur (director, computer) were reprimanded for failing to take immediate action. Khan's services were discontinued due to his daily wage status. The chairman emphasised that vigilant board employees detected the negligence timely, preventing the issuance of falsified certificates. He reaffirmed the board's zero tolerance for corruption, negligence and misconduct, underscoring its commitment to the welfare of students and the integrity of education.
