Moore put a striped spin on the sheer trend in a custom Thom Browne look. Consisting of a black sheer midi dress and blazer layered over red, white and blue striped poplin, her ensemble also included a pair of patent leather heels and one of the American label's rabbit-shaped purses. Moore accessorized with diamond-encrusted earrings and rings by Tiffany & Co., as well as her viral pooch, Pilaf.
The actress was assisted by her stylist Brad Goreski, who also counts 'Emily in Paris' star Ashley Park and Liv Tyler as clients. Hairdresser Dimitris Giannetos styled Moore's dark mane straightened, while makeup artist Rokael Lizama gave her gradient eyeshadow, pink blush and a matching glossy lip.
Olsen embraced springtime pastels in a sea foam green lace gown from Erdem's spring 2025 collection, which featured a large pink bow affixed at the shoulder. B.P. de Silva jewels and neutral Le Silla pumps completed her look.
The 'His Three Daughters' star was dressed by Elizabeth Stewart, stylist to A-listers like Cate Blanchett, Jessica Chastain and Viola Davis. Olsen wore her brown hair in an updo with wispy fringe, courtesy of hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg. Makeup artist Pati Dubroff used Chanel cosmetics to create the actress' rosy eyeshadow look and berry-mauve lip.

Stylist Alicia Lombardini, who also works with Cynthia Nixon, dressed Coon for the occasion. Hairdresser Jenny Cho styled her blond bob in waves. Coon's makeup, done by Kate Lee, featured gray eyeshadow, rosy blush and a pale pink-nude lip.
Karen Pittman modeled a sequined pink puff-sleeve cocktail dress by Erdem featuring crystal embellishments on the shoulders. Black platform boots and a thin bow belt, as well as a tennis bracelet and earrings by Effy Jewelry, completed her look.
The 'And Just Like That' star wore her newly-trimmed tresses in a sleek crop, styled by Marcia Hamilton. Makeup artist Sean Harris, meanwhile, gave Pittman

A debut novel explores family relationships and cultural displacement
In her debut novel, Misophonia, Dana Vowinckel explores the cultural diaspora through one teenager's summer across Berlin, Jerusalem, and Chicago. It's a coming of age story that balances the narratives of a daughter and her father as well as the fifteen-year-old protagonist's abrupt (and reluctant) reunion with her mother. The book is also a semi-autobiographical trek through parts of Vowinckel's own life. Born in Berlin into an American-Jewish-German family, the author grew up between Chicago and Berlin and her novel manages to capture the sometimes awkward, oftentimes tender, dynamics of a family pulled across continents and histories. Though it explores the travails of teenage girlhood, the book also delves into the nuances of being Jewish and German and the challenges of reconciliation when your goals and feelings collide with world events. 'Language is at the core of the book, not identity,' Vowinckel explained in a recent interview in New York. 'It would be a mistake to read it as purely an identity novel,' she says. Critics have praised the novel for its rich, contrasting ingredients and Vowinckel's ability to narrate the emotions of its teenage protagonist with warmth and clarity. The book won the Mara Cassens Prize, a German literary award given annually for the best German debut novel, and earned Vowinckel the literature prize of the Association of Arts and Culture of the German Economy. It was also shortlisted for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize which celebrates outstanding new publications written in German. The 27-year old Vowinckel, who studied linguistics and literature in Berlin, Toulouse and Cambridge, was in New York to promote the recently published English translation of Misophonia by HarperVia. (The book was translated from its original German by Adrian Nathan West.) Vowinckel's visit included events at Germany's Consulate General of New York - which promotes cultural, intellectual, and artistic exchanges with Germany - and Deutsches Haus at New York University. Misophonia opens in Chicago, with parts set in Berlin and Israel. It follows a teenage protagonist, Margarita, as she travels to her father's birthplace in Israel with the mother who left her when she was a toddler. Margarita shares a special bond with her father, Avi - a doting Israeli who is a cantor at their local synagogue - ever since her mother, Marsha, abandoned the family. Eventually, arrangements are made - without Margarita's knowledge - for her to meet Marsha in Israel before returning to Germany. Blindsided, she wants no part of this overdue reconciliation with a mother she hardly knows. Meanwhile, in Germany, Avi tries to fill the hole left by Margarita's absence with a trip of his own, embarking on a personal journey, both hope-inducing and despairing. Writing the book through the prism of dueling narratives - switching between a teenage girl, and her father - allowed Vowinckel to engage readers in an unusual point-of-view combination, she says. Accounts of Jewish congregational life in Berlin are mixed with detailed descriptions of the awkwardness and lust that go along with living inside a female teenage body. 'Both perspectives were very interesting to me,' Vowinckel told the Chicago Review of Books in May. 'With a 15-year-old, there's early sexuality and kind of being lost in the world, contrasted with the very lonely, quiet life of Avi,' she said. Straddling the two narratives also helped balance the exploration of imperfect family relationships and larger cultural displacement, the author says. 'I think it was very helpful for me to have a protagonist with a very specific job description because that gives you rhythm to the text,' Vowinckel says. 'It made it very easy for me to start this big novel project with this very calm, laconic voice, and then mix it with Margarita.'

Miley Cyrus Puts Her Own Twist on a '80s Rockstar Hairstyle at the Chanel and Tribeca Film Festival Luncheon in NYC
Miley Cyrus embodied the quintessential 1980s rockstar at Chanel's annual luncheon in collaboration with The Tribeca Film Festival in New York City on Friday. The 32-year-old 'Flowers' singer, who just released her latest studio album titled 'Something Beautiful,' attended the gathering to celebrate the Through Her Lens: The Tribeca Chanel Women's Filmmaker Program alongside a ballot of female actors, entertainers, filmmakers and music artists, including Parker Posey, Lola Tung, Riley Keough and Olivia Munn. Cyrus continued her side part stint, teasing her dark brown roots up and over to create an Elvis-esque bump in the front with only a single curl touching her forehead. Her bright blond highlights melted between her messy curls behind her shoulders. Yet, her stark side part and choppy barrel waves resembled a wild hair trend within the music scene during the 1980s. Hairstylist Bob Recine was behind the look. Recine has worked with the former Disney Channel star for years. For the most part, Cyrus kept her black sunglasses on outside in The Greenwich Hotel Courtyard. Underneath the shades, however, she wore a bit of bronze shadow on her eyes, mascara, white liner in her waterline and light pink gloss on her lips. Her go-to makeup artist is James Kaliardos, the professional behind her recent look for a surprise performance at The Carlyle Hotel earlier this week. Her fashion at the luncheon fit the rocker aesthetic, comprised of an inky black vest with four pockets, a two-tiered pleated skirt, matching nylons and mary jane heels. Next to her was her mom, Tish, dressed in a white blazer, black trousers, a lacy tank top and strappy, open-toe sandals. Cyrus' attendance on Friday comes just a week after her ninth studio album dropped. The record is also accompanied by her first short film, which is set to premiere during the festival on Friday. The film will be an extension of her album, a visual interpretation of the storyline told through all 13 songs. Dakota Johnson Goes Sheer in Long-sleeve Nensi Dojaka Midi Dress and Bodysuit While Promoting ‘Materialists' on ‘Seth Meyers'
Dakota Johnson made her latest stop on her 'Materialists' promotional tour on Thursday in New York City with an appearance on 'The Late Show With Seth Meyers.' The actress costars in the film alongside Chris Evan and Pedro Pascal. For her late-night talk show appearance, Johnson opted for the sheer trend, styling a long-sleeve midi dress courtesy of Nensi Dojaka. The actress wore the sheer piece with a fitted silhouette and exposed seams throughout. Beneath her sheer dress, Johnson added a brown, strapless bodysuit with a formfitting design. She completed the ensemble with a pair of black Saint Laurent Raven slingback pointed-toe pumps. When it came to her glam, Johnson's hair was styled straight and worn down, cascading past her shoulders, with fringe to frame her face by stylist Mark Townsend. Her makeup included such elements as bold brows, lined eyes and a glossy lip courtesy of artist Georgie Eisdell. Johnson's look was curated by Kate Young, who WWD named Best Stylist at the 2025 WWD Style Awards. Young recently styled Johnson in another sheer look for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. While attending the Kering and Cannes Film Festival Official Dinner on May 18, Johnson wore an allover shimmering sleeveless dress by Gucci, with jewelry courtesy of Boucheron. Johnson is just one of Young's high-profile clients. The stylist also collaborates with Michelle Williams and Julianne Moore. In an interview with Young from January, the stylist explained the rapid change she's seen in the fashion and entertainment industries and how the two have become inextricably linked. 'People didn't even have a stylist. I think a lot of people bought a dress to go to the Globes, or maybe their costume designer did it,' she said. 'Celebrities and designers form alliances in a way they didn't used to. They might have met and become friends in the past, but now people align themselves with brands and then also become brand ambassadors or faces of campaigns,' Young said. 'Now, brands are so good at identifying talent they're interested in very early.' Written and directed by Oscar nominee Celine Song, 'Materialists' follows Johnson's character Lucy, a New York City matchmaker who finds herself at the center of a love triangle between her former flame, played by Evans, and a new love interest, played by Pascal. The film hits theaters June 13.
