2 teens accused of committing multiple armed robberies at Gresham apartment complex
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A pair of teens were arrested early Monday morning after committing two armed robberies at an apartment complex, Gresham police said.
Jeremiah White, 18, faces multiple charges, including first-degree robbery. He was lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center. The other suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was lodged in the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center on similar charges.
The first incident took place just before 11 p.m. at the apartment complex in the 24000 block of SE Stark St.
'Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian robbery at gunpoint at the apartment complex. The victim reported being approached by a group of four subjects, one armed with a handgun. The suspects stole the victim's keys, jewelry, and a specific brand hoodie before fleeing on foot,' police said.
A second robbery was reported at the same location just two hours later.
'A male subject ran to a nearby service station and reported that he had been lured to the apartments by two females via Instagram, then ambushed by two armed males who stole his cell phone and hoodie. Witnesses noted that one of the suspects was wearing a distinctive brand hoodie taken from the first victim,' police said.
Around 3 a.m., officers saw the two suspects near the basketball courts at the complex, one of whom was wearing the hoodie of one of the victims.
The two suspects attempted to flee from officers, but both were eventually taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact police.

Why the Best Cupcakes Are More Than Just a Sweet Treat
Nowadays, cupcakes mean more than just something to eat—they're also a work of art, a must-have at parties, and a favorite personal snack, all kept in a paper liner. Having cupcakes on hand will make any occasion—a party, a gift, or simply a break for yourself—even better. What is it that makes cupcakes different than ordinary cakes? Now, let's highlight the things that make the best cupcakes impressive. Most people notice how soft and moist a cupcake is right away; the best custom cupcakes have just the right amount of both. You want a cupcake that has a light texture that gently bounces back when you touch it and isn't too dry or heavy. The result comes from baking professionals who carefully adjust how they add the four main ingredients and leavening agents. If you include sour cream, yogurt, or buttermilk in your batter, the cake stays moist and feels soft and yummy. This texture delights people so much that they want to truly enjoy every bite. What makes a cupcake special is its great taste. A good cupcake should never have tastes that are too powerful or fake. Every time you bite into a cupcake, you should taste the same amount of each flavor. It is vital to used high-end vanilla, good quality cocoa powder and fresh fruit purées. Cupcakes are sure to have a homemade taste if bakers use premium and natural ingredients in their batters. The frosting is the crown jewel of a cupcake, and it's where creativity truly shines. The best cupcakes feature frostings that are smooth, rich, and perfectly whipped. Whether it's a traditional buttercream, a light cream cheese frosting, or a more adventurous ganache topping, it should be applied with skill and intention. The ideal frosting-to-cake ratio is another important factor—too little and the cupcake feels dry, too much and it becomes overwhelmingly sweet. Decorative swirls, piped flowers, or colorful sprinkles not only enhance the visual appeal but also add layers of texture and fun to the cupcake experience. What sets exceptional cupcakes apart is often the surprise inside. Fillings like fruit jams, chocolate ganache, caramel, or flavored creams take cupcakes to a whole new level. They add a burst of flavor and excitement that turns a simple cupcake into a gourmet dessert. Toppings also play a vital role—from candied nuts and chocolate shavings to edible glitter and mini cookies, these extras contribute to the overall taste, texture, and visual delight. The best cupcakes are never boring; they invite you to explore and discover with every bite. Great cupcakes aren't just delicious—they're also beautiful. Presentation is key, especially in today's Instagram-friendly world. The best cupcakes are miniature works of art, with carefully piped frosting, coordinated colors, and thoughtful designs that reflect themes, seasons, or events. Whether you're admiring a display at a boutique bakery or receiving a custom box for a celebration, the visual allure of a well-decorated cupcake makes it all the more enjoyable. It's this attention to detail that makes people say, 'It's almost too pretty to eat!' Nothing compares to a cupcake baked fresh with quality ingredients. The best bakeries make their cupcakes daily, ensuring that each one has that just-out-of-the-oven aroma and taste. You'll notice the difference immediately—no stale or artificial flavors, just pure, delicious indulgence. Using farm-fresh eggs, real butter, unbleached flour, and organic dairy products doesn't just make a difference in health—it profoundly impacts the flavor and texture of the cupcake. It's this commitment to quality that truly separates premium cupcakes from mass-produced alternatives. Another hallmark of the best cupcakes is the range of options they offer. Whether you have dietary restrictions, flavor preferences, or a specific event theme in mind, top-tier cupcake shops provide a wide array of choices. From gluten-free and vegan options to alcohol-infused or seasonal specials, the best cupcakes cater to everyone. Custom designs for weddings, birthdays, or corporate events make cupcakes not just a treat, but a personalized experience. Flexibility in flavor, decoration, and size (mini, standard, or jumbo) adds even more value and enjoyment for the customer. The most memorable best custom cupcakes impress us with their taste and the feelings they give us. If you've eaten a (few) good burgers, they should leave your meal with a fond memory, not a mouthful of sugar or oil. If good food leaves you with a sweet aftertaste, you'll find yourself already looking forward to when you can eat it again. A really good cupcake goes beyond dessert and becomes a comforting memory you won't forget. Even with so many desserts out there, I love Babycakes' best custom cupcakes are popular because people like them best. The most appealing cupcakes have a moist texture, rich taste, tasty frosting and a wonderful look. They make us happy with their wonderful tastes and small appearances. Great cupcakes always please, no matter if you're enjoying your favorite or trying something new. Remember all the work and attention that goes into a perfect cupcake each time you take a bite. timebusinessnews What gives a cupcake the title of being the best? The best cupcakes are moist, taste great, and have a carefully blended frosting made with excellent ingredients. How long will fresh cupcakes stay good for? A fresh cupcake should keep well at room temperature for 2–3 days or up to 7 days if kept cold in the refrigerator. Is it possible to make cupcakes that are gluten-free or vegan? A lot of bakeries serve gluten-free and vegan cupcakes that are both tasty and have the right texture. Which are the top-picked cupcake flavors? While vanilla, chocolate and red velvet are common cake flavors, recently, more people are loving lemon lavender and salted caramel cakes. Is putting cupcakes in the refrigerator necessary? Jackson County Sheriff's Office using new Flock Safety cameras
BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Jackson County Sheriff's Office has joined other western Wisconsin law enforcement departments in utilizing Flock Safety cameras. Six new Flock cameras are now placed around the county to help the sheriff's office investigate crimes. Sheriff Duane Waldera reports there have been some privacy concerns about the Flock cameras from some Jackson County citizens. He says Flock cameras don't gather information on the person driving, the speed the vehicle is traveling, or how many people are in the car. They take pictures of the license plate that deputies can then use in their investigations. Sheriff Waldera explained, 'There are certain cases that would be really extreme crisis-type cases, let's call it a homicide or some major event that happened in our community. That if we would have had flat cameras, we would have had another layer or a lead and a possibility of solving something.' The purchase of the Fock Safety cameras came from previously budgeted money. However, if the department is going to continue its involvement in the program, they would need it to be included in and approved by the Jackson County budgetary process.
