EXCLUSIVE How dancer Kayla Radomski won over Hollywood star Jason Segel as couple confirm engagement

Daily Mail6 hours ago

Jason Segel 'has never been happier' after proposing to his girlfriend of two years, Kayla Radomski.
The actor, 45, popped the question to the professional dancer, 34, on Monday, DailyMail.com exclusively reported.
Just days before the proposal, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star accompanied Kayla to an event for luxury skincare brand Cotrini at the Saddle Ranch in Hollywood.
The party was hosted by Scheana Shay and Janet Caperna of Bravo's The Valley and Vanderpump Rules and was attended by various cast members from both shows, making Jason a surprising guest given his much larger celebrity status.
'He was there to support Kayla, who was Scheana's choreographer on The Masked Singer,' a source told DailyMail.com.
While the happy couple made no mention of engagement plans to guests, they were completely inseparable from the time they arrived until they left.
'They were holding hands most of the time and were almost joined at the hip - it's clear that Jason's absolutely smitten with her,' said another source.
'He didn't act like he was too big to hang out with reality stars or anything like that. He was there to support Kayla and was happy to chat to anyone and everyone,' they added.
Another source close to the couple shed some more light on how Kayla was able to win him over.
'Obviously she's beautiful, but he really respects that she's a hard worker and is genuinely talented,' they said.
'He really loves watching her dance and is inspired by how passionate she is about the arts.'
Last year, Kayla starred in the short film Ukrainian Dance Movie, which celebrated the Ukrainian spirit in the face of war.
According to the source, those closest to the couple were completely caught off guard by the engagement.
'We all knew that Jason was head over heels for her, but we didn't expect them to get engaged,' they said.
'Everyone's really happy for them, it was just a big surprise!'
The Shrinking actor proposed to the professional dancer amid a romantic setting at The Huntington Library in Pasadena on Monday evening.
The couple were first linked back in 2023 - and made their red carpet debut together last year during awards season.
A source told DailyMail.com: 'The proposal occurred in the Huntington Library's rose garden, and was captured by a photographer hired by the actor.'
Radomski said 'yes' to Segel and 'the teary-eyed couple enjoyed a private dinner together in the Huntington Library's rose garden' afterwards.
Both Jason and Kayla also took time to express their gratitude towards employees who had helped set up for the big moment.
Kayla officially confirmed the engagement news on Wednesday when she posted photos of the happy moment to Instagram.
'Forever yes!' she gushed in the caption.
The lovebirds were first romantically linked in October 2023 when they were spotted during Hollywood Horror Nights at Universal Studios.
At the time, they were seen holding hands as they strolled through the crowded amusement park.
In early 2024, Segel and Radomski made their red carpet debut at the Golden Globe Awards as she cheered on the actor who was nominated for his role in Shrinking.
The two cozied up together at the event as they paused for a brief photo session before the main ceremony kicked off.
At the time, the actress had also jumped to her main Instagram page to share snaps from the night - and also penned a sweet tribute to Segel.
'WOW..... @jasonsegel I am so incredibly proud of you!!!! What a dream. You are absolutely one of the hardest working and most deserving humans on this planet. My Golden Globe Nominee!'
She added, 'I love that we got to spend a whole day celebrating YOU and your talent!!! I love you so much baby!'

The same month, the couple walked the red carpet once again as they made an appearance at the 2024 Emmys.
On social media, Kayla gushed that she is 'always amazed watching your drive and love for what you do. You inspire me every single day.'
She continued, 'I cannot wait to continue to watch you thrive and create more magic throughout your life. Thank you for loving me and being the best man this lady could dream up. I love you.'
Despite their few red carpet appearances, Segel and Radomski mainly keep their romance out of the spotlight.
On a couple occasions, the dancer has uploaded sweet selfies of the couple as they spend quality time together.
Last year in April, the pair showed off their toned figures as they whisked themselves away for a tropical vacation.
And later that year in November, the lovebirds cozied up together for another photo as they bundled up in the cold weather.
In the caption, the beauty penned, 'FULL OF LOVE,' alongside red heart emojis.
While it is not known when exactly the pair struck up a romance or first met, Kayla is no stranger to the entertainment industry.
She starred in the fifth season of So You Think You Can Dance back in 2009 - and came in fourth place.
Radomski is also a former backup dancer for Taylor Swift, and joined the Grammy winner as well as Bredon Urie for their performance of ME! at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
On the big screen, she has also had the chance to showcase her dance skills - such as the 2024 short film Ukrainian Dance Movie.
And in 2019, she made a brief appearance in Quentin Tarantino's movie Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood. In one scene, she could be seen dancing next to Leonardo DiCaprio.
Segel is also known for his successful career which kicked off when he starred in the short-lived series Freaks And Geeks.
He then played Marshall Eriksen on the beloved show How I Met Your Mother from 2005 through 2014.
Jason has also starred in films such as Knocked Up (2007), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Despicable Me (2010) and Bad Teacher (2011).
The actor is currently working on the Apple TV+ series Shrinking alongside Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie and Christa Miller. The show has been renewed for a third season.
Segel previously dated his Freaks And Geeks co-star Linda Cardellini after the show was canceled following one season.
He has also been in relationships with Michelle Williams and photographer Alexis Mixter before beginning a romance with Radomski.

Stephen King terrified he'll be called 'corny' over VERY surprising new film

Stephen King is concerned that his new sci-fi drama The Life of Chuck could hurt his reputation as one of the masters of horror. The inspiring film follows the life of Charles 'Chuck' Krantz, played by Tom Hiddleston, as he 'experiences the wonder of love, the heartbreak of loss, and the multitudes contained in all of us'. It's told in reverse-chronological order, beginning when Chuck is dying from a brain tumor the end of his life, and ends when he's a child. It also features an exuberant five-minute dance sequence inspired by Fred Astaire. Given the uplifting nature of the movie, King admits that he's worried about how it will be received. 'It's not like I'm saying, 'Oh, people are gonna see Stephen King in a brand new light!' The thing is, I'm terrified of reviews that say, 'This is corny.' But I have a strong belief that joy is also a valid exploration,' he told WSJ. 'In the story, there are a lot of things that are very unpleasant, including a man's decline from a brain tumor. But you have to understand that moments of joy are also a part of the human experience,' he continued. 'You can see a movie like 'Taxi Driver,' which shows the very bottom part of human nature, and that gets fantastic reviews because people say, 'Oh, it's a slice of life!' 'But there are slices of life that are sweet as well. And I should know, because I'm just lucky to be here.' The Life Of Chuck is based on the story of the same name from King's 2020 collection of four previously unpublished novellas, If It Bleeds. The novella consists of three separate stories linked to tell the biography of Charles Krantz in reverse starting with his death from a brain tumor at age 39 and ending with his childhood in a supposedly haunted house. If It Bleeds was released in April 2020 and featured the short stories Mr. Harrigan's Phone, The Life Of Chuck, If It Bleeds and Rat. Netflix acquired the film rights to Mr. Harrigan's Phone in 2020 and it premiered in October 2022 on the streaming service to mixed reviews. Meanwhile, King currently has a number of projects in the works based on his novels. First up is The Institute, which is set to scare viewers when it hits MGM+ next month. The eight-part limited series follows the terrifying story of Luke Ellis, a 12-year-old prodigy whose life is shattered overnight when he's kidnapped and wakes up inside a shadowy facility known only as The Institute. Inside, he meets other children with psychic abilities who are being subjected to disturbing and painful experiments under the watchful eye of the calculating Ms. Sigsby, played by Emmy-winner Mary-Louise Parker. While the children initially believe that they're there to be taught and cared for, they soon discover that the staff at The Institute are trying to weaponize their powers for evil. King's fans were furious earlier this year when Netflix announced it would be making a reboot of his novel Cujo. Amazon Prime also revealed that they're turning his iconic novel Carrie into a series.

Michael Jackson's daughter Paris sparks concern over tearful chat with fiancé before dad's death anniversary

Paris Jackson seemed to be showing the strain when she was spotted on a tense outing with her fiancé in Malibu, California. The 27-year-old singer–songwriter was seen tearing up before her fiancé Justin Long tried to comfort her with an embrace on Tuesday. The emotional moment came at a difficult time for Paris, as the 16th anniversary of her father Michael Jackson 's death is just a week away. has contacted Paris' representative to request comment. The upcoming event had already taken on an even darker tone after she was forced to defend herself from furious fans who were upset that she would be performing on tour on the anniversary of her father's death. The nepo baby and her partner looked as if they had been enjoying some fresh air in the coastal city before Paris was dressed in a sporty workout-ready ensemble with a medium-brown sports bra that revealed her toned midriff and tattooed arms. She paired it with darker brown athletic shorts highlighting her trim legs, and she completed the low-key look with white trainers. The daughter of Debbie Rowe wore her long blond-dyed hair tied back in a high ponytails, and she wore a silver pendant dangling from her throat. Her fiancé Justin opted for a less sporty ultra-casual look with a tan Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt and dark blue pants that he had rolled up to the knee. Unlike Paris, he wasn't ready for a rugged outdoor adventure, as he was dressed in brown leather boat shoes. His fiancée displayed a somber expression on her face as they chatted on the side of the road. Justin seemed to try to comfort the sobbing Paris, as he embraced her at one point while she rested her forehead on his shoulder. The outing comes just over a week before the anniversary of her father's untimely death at 50. Jackson died on June 25, 2009, only a few weeks before he was to begin a sold-out residency in London titled This Is It; pictured March 5, 2009 Jackson died on June 25, 2009, only a few weeks before he was to begin a sold-out residency in London titled This Is It. The Thriller singer had developed a dangerous relationship with his personal physician, Conrad Murray, who would regularly administer him a cocktail of psychiatric drugs and anesthetics that were more commonly used to put patients under for surgery, rather than as a sleep aid. On the afternoon of June 25, Murray had giving Jackson a mix of the benzodiazepines lorazepam and midazolam, along with propofol. Jackson stopped breathing after the drugs were administered, and paramedics arrived to perform CPR and attempt to resuscitate Jackson on the way to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead nearly two hours later. A coroner's report later determined that it was an overdose of propofol, which is traditionally used as part of general anesthesia for surgery, that caused Jackson's death. Paris has long been open about how difficult the anniversary of her father's death is for her, but that hasn't stopped some callous fans from lambasting her on social media for choosing to move on with her life sixteen years later. On Friday, she hit back at her critics via now-expired Instagram Stories posts. According to People, Paris — who went bra-free with her fiancé days earlier — wrote to her five million followers: 'So people are mad again. I guess one of the dates I'm supposed to be going out on tour (with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra) happens to be June 25, which is a very negative anniversary for me in my life and my family.' The nepo baby of the iconic artist fired back at fans via now-expired Instagram Stories on Friday; Michael pictured in 2009 'It's just me and my acoustic guitar and my sound guy, who happens to be my fiancé. So we're gonna be in a soccer mom van,' Paris said as she explained her modest tour accommodations; pictured on stage on May 27, 2023 She continued in the video post, 'So, what I guess I have to explain to these people is that when you're not headlining these shows, you don't pick what date you perform.' The music artist also underscored that she is not getting lavish accommodations as an opening act. 'It's just me and my acoustic guitar and my sound guy, who happens to be my fiancé,' she said in reference to her husband-to-be, Justin Long. 'So we're gonna be in a soccer mom van.' Paris noted that she volunteered to be part of the tour and wouldn't step down over the date. 'So, I'm gonna tell 'em, "Sorry, guys, we can't perform on this date?"' she posited, facetiously, adding, 'F*** you.' The songstress also reposted, via Instagram Stories, what appeared to be a comment or caption from a fan account. It read in part, 'Note to admins: It is unacceptable to judge someone else's pain and grief based on information from the internet. 'Judging Paris' respect for her father from an outside perspective is unfair. June 25 may intensify our pain as fans, but she lives with the loss of her father daily.' Paris added a simple response: 'thx fam.' In March it was announced by Incubus that Jackson and Manchester Orchestra would be hitting the road with them for their Morning View + The Hits tour throughout the US and UK. On June 25 — the 16th anniversary of Michael's death — the tour will be in Nashville, Tennessee. Paris and Justin met in 2022 and their relationship was professional before it was romantic. 'Happy birthday my sweet blue,' she wrote in a birthday tribute announcing their engagement last December. She added, 'Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind, and I couldn't dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.' According to his LinkedIn Justin attended college in Indiana at Grace College & Seminary, where he graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in marketing and business administration. He transitioned to music full-time in 2013 and has worked with artists including Grace Potter, The Wombats and Sleater-Kinney.

National anthem singer reveals true extent of fury at her incendiary ICE protest before Dodgers game

Singer Vanessa Hernandez has revealed she has received death threats following her ICE protest at a Los Angeles Dodgers game last week. The 30-year-old, known by her stage name Nezza, defied orders from the Dodgers to sing a Spanish rendition of the American national anthem before Saturday's game against the San Francisco Giants. The Dominican singer claimed they tried to stop her performing the Star Spangled Banner in Spanish, before she did it anyway as a show of solidarity with ICE protestors in the city. Nezza executed the poignant tribute against the Dodgers' wishes on the day of 'No Kings' protests across the US over Donald Trump 's controversial immigration policies, which came after a week of unrest in LA. She has now told TMZ that online trolls have sent her death threats but she stands by her decision to sing in Spanish and is adamant she's 'on the right side of history'. Nezza also revealed that George Lopez, Becky G and other musicians had reached out to offer their support. She said: 'I have received quite the backlash but it's been way more positive and love so that kind of outweighs that. I already knew in my heart that what I did was right but this triple confirms it for me. 'The death threats are one things but that's just the internet. I'm taking that as that is going to come from something like this. Anything that involves politics is going to involve a death threat. 'The main thing I have been seeing is that it was "disrespectful". I don't think it was because the lyrics are the exact same as the English version. 'I am a proud American. I was born here, raised her, my dreams came true here in LA and I think being a proud American and still wanting better for your country can be the same truth and I think people are forgetting that.' After Nezza posted a clip on TikTok which showed a Dodgers official telling her to sing the anthem in English, before she stunningly defied that request, a large portion of the team's fans heaped praise on her. One replied to her latest TikTok video by saying: '50 year dodgers fan & proud of you, no more games til they make this right.' 'As a la native and a dodgers fan, I'm disappointed in them,' said another. 'I'm so glad you SANNNG it in Spanish even though they told you not too! You got a new follower queen'. 'God damn. Dodgers have botched the last week pretty badly,' another fan posted on X about the anthem controversy. While one said about Nezza: 'Good for her. The @dodgers are being hypocritical. They'll have Mexico Night, hire Mariachis to play at the games, & have surely cashed in on billions of $ of revenue from a loyal Latino fan-base, much of it undocumented. Maybe when/if they get hit in the pocketbook….' However, other members of the Dodgers faithful were less impressed by her protest after being invited by the team to sing in English. 'Total lack of respect by @Nezza,' one concluded. 'She's invited by @Dodgers to sing in English. But makes decision to sing in Spanish. This is why people don't take WOKE /DEI/serious. People should boycott her music'. Another commented: 'If the @Dodgers invite Nezza back to Dodger Stadium for another reimagining of our Star Spangled Banner I know I won't be the only one who stays away. Spoke to many friends (Latino included) and it doesn't sit right with any of us. She can serenade Dominican Rep crowds instead.' While one even claimed: 'After Nezza singing [in Spanish] and not being banned forever, I will never attend another Dodger game'. In a tearful follow-up video to her original TikTok post, Hernandez suggested she has been banned from Dodger Stadium after ignoring the request to perform in English. 'Thank you for all the sweet messages,' she concluded at the end of the video before adding, 'I love you guys so much. Safe to say I am never allowed in that stadium again.' Yet according to The LA Times, she was not punished for ignoring the team request and is not banned from Dodger Stadium in the future.
