It has now been nearly four months since Taylor Swift made her last major public appearance. In February, the "Cruel Summer" singer attended Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Unfortunately, the Chiefs failed to make history during the big game. Kelce and Co. were denied of what would have been an unprecedented Super Bowl three-peat, as the Philadelphia Eagles secured the title with a 40-22 win.
Since then, Swift has been keeping it low key as she reportedly spends as much time as she can with Kelce while their respective schedules still permit them to.
Despite her current career hiatus, however, Swift still continues to make waves in the music scene. A testament to this fact is how she achieved another incredible milestone on Spotify.
Swift's 2008 hit "Love Story" has now hit 1 billion streams on Spotify, making it her sixteenth track to surpass this amazing mark.
It is worth noting that on top of the original version of the song, the re-recorded version, "Love Story (Taylor's Version)," is also on track to hit a billion streams in the coming week.
In fact, "Love Story (Taylor's Version)", which was released in 2021, is reportedly expected to surpass the original version in a little over two weeks' time.
Swift's latest milestone comes after she made a big announcement on her website on Friday. In a lengthy letter addressed to her fans, the 35-year-old revealed that after a roller-coaster journey, she now officially owns all of her music.
"All of the music I've ever made... now belongs... to me," Swift announced.
She went on to say that this is her "greatest dream come true" after she re-recorded and released four of her albums, calling them "Taylor's Version." This decision came after an ownership dispute with her former label, which is a battle that Swift has now clearly won.
