The report said there was 'no radiation danger whatsoever' and that the facility had already been evacuated before the attack.
Israel had warned earlier Thursday morning that it would attack the facility and urged the public to flee the area.
The warning came in a social media post on X. It included a satellite image of the plant in a red circle, like other warnings that preceded strikes.

The Israeli military said Thursday's round of air strikes targeted Tehran and other areas of Iran, without elaborating. It later said Iran fired a new salvo of missiles at Israel and told the public to take shelter.

Israel's seventh day of air strikes on Iran came a day after Iran's supreme leader rejected US calls for surrender and warned that any military involvement by the Americans would cause 'irreparable damage to them'. Israel also lifted some restrictions on daily life, suggesting the missile threat from Iran on its territory was easing.

Speaking in White House, Trump and Zelensky say trilateral with Putin may follow

US President Donald Trump started his summit in the White House with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday, with both sides suggesting that a trilateral meeting that includes their Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, might be the next step in a flurry of recent diplomatic efforts to halt Moscow's war against its neighbour. In his third face-to-face meeting with the Ukrainian president, Trump also added that he would speak to Putin about the plan later on Monday, and endorsed a plan for European countries to buy American weapons needed to ensure Ukraine's security. 'If everything works out well today, we'll have a [trilateral meeting with Putin], and I think there will be a reasonable chance of ending the war when we do that,' Trump told reporters ahead of his official meeting with Zelensky. 'I just spoke to President Putin indirectly, and we're going to have a phone call right after these meetings today, and we may or may not have a trilat,' he said. 'If we don't have a trilat, then the fighting continues.' Putin is 'expecting my call when we're finished with this meeting', he added. Zelensky said he supported Trump's personal involvement in ending the conflict.

Newsmax agrees to pay US$67 million in defamation case over 2020 election claims

The conservative network Newsmax will pay US$67 million to settle a lawsuit accusing it of defaming a voting equipment company by spreading lies about US President Donald Trump's 2020 election loss, according to documents filed on Monday. The settlement comes after Fox News Channel paid US$787.5 million to settle a similar lawsuit in 2023 and Newsmax paid what court papers describe as US$40 million to settle a libel lawsuit from a different voting machine manufacturer, Smartmatic, which also was a target of pro- Trump conspiracy theories on the network. Delaware Superior Court Judge Eric Davis had ruled earlier that Newsmax did indeed defame Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems by broadcasting false information about the company and its equipment. But Davis left it to a jury to eventually decide whether that was done with malice and, if so, how much Dominion deserved from Newsmax in damages. Newsmax and Dominion reached the settlement before the trial could take place. The settlement was disclosed by Newsmax in a new filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It said the deal was reached on Friday. 'Newsmax believed it was critically important for the American people to hear both sides of the election disputes that arose in 2020,' the company said in a statement. 'We stand by our coverage as fair, balanced and conducted within professional standards of journalism.'

Zelensky warns against ‘rewarding' Russia for Ukraine invasion ahead of Trump meet

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said ahead of talks with Donald Trump on Monday that Russia should not be 'rewarded' for its invasion, after the US leader pressed Kyiv to make concessions in exchange for peace. The talks, in which European leaders will also take part, follow a Friday summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska that failed to produce a ceasefire in the nearly three-and-a-half-year war. Trump, who dropped his insistence on a ceasefire in favour of a final peace deal after meeting Putin, said on Sunday that Zelensky could end the war 'almost immediately, if he wants to' but that, for Ukraine, there was 'no getting back' Crimea and 'NO GOING INTO NATO'. Kyiv and European leaders have warned against making political and territorial concessions to Russia, whose assault on Ukraine since February 2022 has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths. 'Russia should not be rewarded for its participation in this war … And it is Moscow that must hear the word: Stop,' Zelensky said in a Facebook post on Monday.
