Country singer calls out Georgia fans over ‘Grown men barking at me' during football season
It is almost that time of year when everyone's favorite college football teams hit the field, working to become the next national champs. The Georgia Bulldogs have dominated over the last few years, making their rivalry with Tennessee even deeper. Country singer Greylan James, born and raised a Tennessee fan, joined the Paul Finebaum show on Friday to talk about all the smack talk that he gets from his friends who are Bulldawg fans. 'I love when Fall comes around and talking crap to my buddies because there are so many Georgia fans down here,' James said on Friday. 'Even when I golf with [Georgia fans] during football season, I just can't get over the grown men barking at me. That just hits on a level that I don't understand.' James called out his friends Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean, about how hard it must be living in Nashville during football season. 'They're not just barking at you, they're winning,' he continued. 'Jason [Aldean] and Luke [Bryan] are wearing $40,000 watches while they are also, their team is just killing us. It must be painful for Georgia fans, Alabama fans, and rivals of Tennessee that they have to live in Tennessee because Nashville is here, and they have to be in our state.' Georgia holds a 29-23-1 advantage over the Vols. The Bulldawgs and the Vols are scheduled to face each other again in Week three in this upcoming season. Teen's Parents Said No to a Party — So He Killed Them and Invited 60 People Over with Bodies in the Closet
Tyler Hadley killed his parents, hid their bodies and hosted a party for 60 teens that same nightNEED TO KNOW Tyler Hadley killed his parents with a hammer on July 16, 2011, then posted 'Party at my crib tonight… maybe' on Facebook He spent hours cleaning up blood before inviting 60 teens to the house while the bodies were hidden in a bedroom In a 2024 Court TV interview, Hadley said the idea started as a joke — and admitted he still doesn't fully understand why he did itTyler Hadley wanted to throw a party. When his parents said no, he killed them — and invited dozens of friends over while their bodies lay hidden in the master bedroom. The then-17-year-old beat Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley to death with a claw hammer inside their Florida home on July 16, 2011. Then, after dragging their bodies into the bedroom and covering them with household items — linens, books, picture frames and towels — he spent nearly three hours cleaning the blood, according to his 2024 televised interview on Court TV's Interview with a Killer series. That night, Hadley posted on Facebook: 'Party at my crib tonight… maybe.' More than 60 teens showed up — most had no idea his parents were lying dead just down the hall. Some guests later told police the house smelled strange. Others noticed blood in different parts of the home. In the Court TV interview, Hadley recalled the moment it all became real. 'I went into my bathroom, and I was covered in blood, everywhere,' he said. 'There was blood all over the place. And I laughed at myself in the mirror and then went about my business of having a party.' Hadley told investigators he struck his mother from behind as she sat at a computer. His father ran in, horrified, and asked, 'Why?' 'Why the f--- not?' Hadley said he responded. He described entering a dissociative state — 'this sort of psychotic state or trance' — and said he remembered hearing his parents screaming and pleading for their lives. But he kept swinging. After the murders, Hadley locked the family dog in a closet, hid his parents' cell phones, and attempted to erase evidence of what he'd done. He later admitted to taking ecstasy beforehand and said he felt detached during the attack. According to police and court testimony, Hadley told friends in the weeks leading up to the killings that he planned to kill his parents. One even recalled him saying that he wanted to host a party afterward because it had "never been done before." In the 2024 interview, Hadley told Court TV's David Scott that the idea of killing his parents started as dark humor. He and his friends had been sitting around one night drinking beer and smoking weed, he said, when the thought first surfaced. 'I would sit there and think about it,' he said. 'And I think I latched onto it and didn't let go of it.' 'The thoughts didn't go away,' he added. 'If I could just relieve myself of the thoughts, then it would be done.' Eventually, he said, the plan was no longer a joke. At some point during the party, Hadley pulled aside his best friend, Michael Mandell. He told him what he had done. Mandell didn't believe it — until Tyler unlocked the master bedroom door and showed him the bodies. 'I come up to the [master bedroom] door. The party's going on over here, and I turn the door knob,' Mandell told ABC News. 'I looked down, and I [saw] his father's leg against the door… My eyes popped up, and I said, 'Oh my, he's telling the truth. He did it. This is real.'' Mandell called the police, and Port St. Lucie officers arrived early the next morning. There, they found the Hadleys' bodies in the bedroom and arrested Tyler on the spot. A blood-covered hammer lay between the victims' bodies, per CBS News. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? He was sentenced to two consecutive life terms without parole. During the hearing, Judge Robert R. Makemson called the crime 'brutal, heinous and premeditated," per CBS. Prosecutors noted that while in prison, Hadley began calling himself 'Hammer Boy' and signed autographs for other inmates, per CBS. In the 2024 interview, Hadley said he still couldn't fully explain why he did it. 'I think it was to stop all of our pain,' he said. 'And other than that, I can't answer that with any clarity. I can't. It's still not clear to me. It was just that one thought — that kept on going.' Hadley, now 31, will be eligible for a sentencing review in 2039, per the Treasure Coast Newspapers. California Man Pleads Guilty to Repeatedly Shooting at Police Helicopter as It Flew Around His Home After His Birthday Party
Justin Derek Jennings, 40, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prisonNEED TO KNOW A California man has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from his decision to repeatedly shoot at a police helicopter after his birthday party in March 2024 Justin Derek Jennings, 40, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison in connection with the crime He is next due in court on Jan. 30, 2026A California man faces up to 20 years in federal prison after he repeatedly shot at a police helicopter following his birthday party. The U.S. Attorney's Office, Central District of California announced on Friday, Aug. 8, that 40-year-old Justin Derek Jennings of Orange County has pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to damage, destroy, disable or wreck an aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States — more than a year after he shot at an Orange County Sheriff's Department helicopter. Officials said the shooting took place when Jennings became "angry" after drinking during a birthday party and fired "an entire magazine" of ammunition inside his home. He then spent around 20 minutes "intermittently" firing his rifle at a responding Orange County Sheriff's Department helicopter, per a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office. Jennings "had been drinking and became angry" during his birthday party, before his family left the home on March 9, 2024, according to court documents cited by officials. He then "removed a rifle from his gun safe and fired an entire magazine worth of ammunition inside the home," as the rest of his family left the residence and notified police, per the U.S. Attorney's Office. After a police helicopter — and several deputies — responded to the man's home, he made his way to the second story of the house and "began shooting a rifle upwards in the sky, firing only when the helicopter was visible to him." The shooting took place over the span of 20 minutes, before Jennings spoke to authorities and "exited the residence and surrendered." "During a search of Jennings' residence, law enforcement seized two revolvers, two handguns and two rifles along with multiple rounds of ammunition," the U.S. Attorney's Office said in the news release. "Bullet casings were scattered throughout the floor, and law enforcement also seized two magazines and a box of ammunition that was on a couch beneath the window from where Jennings fired the weapon." The Orange County District Attorney's Office initially charged Jennings, but dismissed the case so that the federal case could proceed. Both the FBI and the Orange County Sheriff's Department investigated the shooting. A previous announcement from the U.S. Attorney's Office stated that Jennings is a resident of Laguna Niguel and that the shooting took place after his birthday party "acrimoniously ended."
