Gino D'Acampo shows axed by ITV following ‘sexually inappropriate' behaviour accusations
Two of Gino D'Acampo's ITV shows have reportedly been pulled from schedules after the celebrity chef was accused of 'sexually inappropriate' behaviour towards women working with him on television.
The 48-year-old, who has denied the claims, is alleged to have made sexualised comments and gestures to female employees behind the scenes of his popular programmes. ITV News reports dozens of former staff and freelancers have detailed alleged experiences they described as 'unacceptable', 'distressing' and 'horrendous' while working with him over a period of more than 12 years.
D'Acampo - a regular on This Morning - has hosted numerous programmes on ITV including the ongoing series Gino's Italian Escape and Gino's Italy: Secrets of the South, as well as the long-running game show Family Fortunes.
The Daily Mail reports that at least two of those series will now not air in their scheduled slots amid the accusations against the Italian.
Gino's Italy: Secrets of the South, was due to be shown on Sunday evening between 6pm and 7pm on ITVBe but has now been replaced by Abbey Clancy: Celebrity Homes.
Family Fortunes, which D'Acampo has hosted since 2020, has also been cut from the schedules. It was due to be shown on ITV2 on at 7pm on Friday and Monday but has now been replaced by Wheel of Fortune with Graham Norton. A new series of the game show was due to be broadcast earlier this year but has reportedly been cancelled by ITV following the allegations.
The Independent has contacted ITV and D'Acampo's representatives for comment.
There are currently no repeats of D'Acampo's shows scheduled in ITV's linear programming lineup, although some are still available to stream through ITVX.
His legal team said he was mortified to be accused of saying inappropriate words to a junior member of staff on Gino's Italian Express. 'He does not recall this incident at all, and the words alleged are absolutely not ones that he would say,' they said.
Another woman claimed that on a magazine shoot in 2011, D'Acampo told her in front of the crew that he wanted to turn her over and 'f*** me up the a***'.
She told ITV News she remembered 'a ripple of laughs' but said nobody objected to the comment, adding that she felt 'horror' and 'shock'.
She said: 'I definitely saw it as some kind of power play. The very act of what he said was aggressive.'
She added: 'I felt like Gino, in that moment, was very entitled and he felt very safe.'
Mr D'Acampo's legal team told ITV News he did not recall the incident, and did not accept that it happened. 'Mr D'Acampo is horrified to be accused of 'power play' and an 'aggressive act',' they stated. 'He emphatically and unequivocally denies these allegations.'

Wynne Evans says Strictly controversy took him into ‘darkest spot' of his life
The Welsh tenor, 53, known for the GoCompare insurance advertisements, competed in the recent series of the BBC dancing programme alongside professional Katya Jones. Evans recently announced that he had been dropped by the BBC and will no longer present on BBC Radio Wales following an apology saying that he used 'inappropriate language' during the launch of the Strictly Come Dancing tour. The apology came after the Mail On Sunday reported in January that he aimed a sexual joke at one of the other professional dancers, Janette Manrara. Speaking on ITV's This Morning, he claimed the story was taken out of context and that he was talking to fellow contestant, EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick, who he gave the nickname 'old spit roast boy' to. He said: 'I used to call him this because he could contort his legs over his head. 'I didn't know there was a reporter still there, recording, apparently, on their phone. 'Even though I'm looking at Jamie, they claim that I'm directing this word at Janette. And it's totally been taken out of context. 'When I saw the narrative in the newspaper, I was just shocked and horrified.' He added that the nickname was 'unsuitable' and 'inappropriate' and claims that he was misrepresented. This comes after Borthwick was suspended from the BBC when a video emerged of the actor using a disabled slur on the set of the dance programme. Evans added that he never approved of the statement that was issued by the BBC in January where he apologised for making an 'inappropriate and unacceptable' comment. He said: 'They didn't run it by me. They sent it off to the newspaper. They printed that as my apology. And, of course, then it looks like I validated the story.' A BBC spokesperson said: 'The apology issued on Wynne's behalf by the Strictly Come Dancing Tour PR representative on Saturday January 25 was fully approved by Wynne.' While recounting the controversy, he got visibly emotional and said that he wanted to end his life. He said: 'I've had clinical depression since 2016, diagnosed. Coronation Street star reacts to major show change and teases 'exciting' twists
Coronation Street's Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney has had her say on the schedule shake-up set to come into effect on the ITV soap in 2026, and she also teased the 65th anniversary One Coronation Street favourite has revealed all on a major change coming for the ITV soap. She also teased some "exciting" moments ahead, a possible romance for her character and hinted at the soap's 65th anniversary later this year. Amy Barlow actress Elle Mulvaney spoke exclusively to The Mirror about what was coming on the show for her character and others. She addressed hopes from fans for Amy and close pal Aadi Alahan to finally get together, after a near romance months earlier. When asked about the Emmerdale crossover, she promised fans it would be "unreal" while she also teased "exciting" 65th anniversary episodes later in the year. While Elle is yet to find out much of what's ahead, the stuff she does know will be kept under wraps for the time being. But it's safe to say there's good stuff ahead for Amy, while the actress did have her say on the news that from January 2026, the show will be on every night and will transmit shorter episodes. Some viewers had been worried about the news, but Elle says it's a good change-up as she recalled it was this way not too long ago. She told us: "I think it's exciting. Obviously we used to be five episodes not massively long ago so I don't think it is gonna be that different. "I almost feel like viewers will be getting more in a way because it will be on every single night. It's just a big change isn't it." Elle also shared her thoughts on the crossover, hoping to be involved as Corrie and Emmerdale unite. She said: "Oh my God, we are absolutely ecstatic about it. We cannot wait to know about it all, it's gonna be unreal. If you are a fan of both shows then this is a dream come true. "I mean hopefully I'll be involved. We will have to wait and see! You have got to remember that we both have got such massive casts so it will be a case of how many people can you fit into one episode, but we'll see! Hopefully I'm in it." She also remained coy about what she did or didn't know about the looming celebrations for the show's 65th, while one cast member teased the focus would mainly be on the crossover. Elle told us: "I'm excited to find out the details but I can't say anything!" Finally, Elle teased that things may be revisited for Amy and Aadi after their near-romance and their clear feelings for one another. She hinted: "For Amy we will definitely see more family things going on ahead, with the dynamics changing with both her parents having split again. "There is all of that going on and in Amy's love life, we might see some changes there so there's definitely a lot to come up." She added when asked about Aadi: "That's it, I think it will be a will they won't they situation but you will have to watch and see!"
