Fergie stuns on London Bridge as she reshoots classic video for secret Netflix project

The Sun2 days ago

EARLY risers walking across London Bridge would have got the shock of their life — after Fergie rocked up to film a video.
The former Black Eyed Peas singer is reworking her 2006 hit London Bridge, which peaked at No3 in the charts, as part of a new project with Netflix.

She was joined in the capital at 4am yesterday by American actress Megan Stalter, along with a load of dancers, to start filming.
The track will form the soundtrack to a new ten-part romcom called Too Much, which has been created by Girls writer Lena Dunham and is coming to the streamer next month.
White Lotus actor Will Sharpe and Emily Ratajkowski also star in the drama, about New Yorker Jessica, who takes a job in London after a break-up.
My exclusive pictures show Fergie dressed in a huge furry coat and pink and green tartan alongside Megan, who looked like she had wandered straight out of a jumble sale in Camden, having a laugh between takes.
My insider said: 'London Bridge is usually pretty quiet at 4am but yesterday it was a hive of activity. Fergie, Megan and loads of dancers took over the road to film the new music video for the soundtrack.
"They want all out with the costumes and the production will look absolutely amazing in the end as it was recorded, in part, when the sun was rising over London.
'Fergie and Megan got on like a house on fire and were laughing and joking around between takes.
'It was a full-on shoot, with costume changes and dancers running around everywhere.
'Beautiful surprise'
'The final video is going to be incredible.'
Fergie, who had five Top Ten hits including Big Girls Don't Cry and Glamorous after quitting the Black Eyed Peas in 2018, turned 50 earlier this year.
Fergie fans in shock as she performs live at MTV VMAs for first time since star was ripped for National Anthem scandal
Her milestone birthday coincided with being named one of Billboard's Top Women Artists of the 21st Century.
Fergie said at the time: 'It was a beautiful surprise and really made me feel like my music means something.'
Jamie in Radio 1 baby club
CONGRATULATIONS are in order for the lovely Jamie Laing, who has announced he is expecting his first child with wife Sophie Habboo.
But I think there must be something in the water at Radio 1 because right now the Drivetime show is having a bit of a baby boom.
Jamie's Going Home co-host Katie Thistleton, who is off on maternity leave, gave birth to her first child in March.
And Vick Hope, who hosts the drivetime show with them, went off work last week as she prepares tohave her first baby with Calvin Harris.
Radio 1 boss Aled Haydn Jones may want to consider putting some contraceptives by the coffee machine, or he'll soon be out of DJs.
Drake deal
FANS have more chances to see Drake this summer.
As well as headlining all three nights of London's Wireless Festival, the rapper has announ-ced four $ome $pecial $hows in the UK.
He will play Birmingham's Utilita Arena on July 20 and 21 and Manchester's Co-op Live on July 25 and 26.
Tickets go on sale Friday on livenation.co.uk.
Run, don't walk.
Are Pulp Fiction or fact?
WITH JUST 21 days to go until Glastonbury, talk about this year's secret sets has already started.
The Churnups last year turned out to be the Foo Fighters, and now all eyes are on 'Patchwork' who are to play the Pyramid Stage just before Raye and Neil Young on Saturday night.
A number of 'TBA' appearances are also dotted around the set times, including a Friday morning slot on the Woodsies stage, which Kasabian played last year, and a Saturday evening slot on Park.
Haim and Pulp are said to be making appearances, to coincide with their new albums.
Bookies are also tipping Mumford & Sons to rock up at Worthy Farm.
All would be great additions to the line-up, and Bizarre will be at the stages for each secret set.
We'll let you know who they are as soon as we find out.
Bryan joins the party
ROCKERS Bryan Adams and Def Leppard will headline Radio 2 In The Park.
The three-day event, which starts on September 5, takes place in Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex.

Summer Of '69 singer Bryan plays on the Saturday, with acts including Jessie J, Stereophonics and Ronan Keating.
Def Leppard, fronted by Joe Elliott, will be on the Sunday, with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, David Gray, Louise, Suede and Soul II Soul.
Moliy on her Max potential
AFRO-pop singer Moliy is on top of the world.
The singer's latest track Shake It To The Max has topped charts around the world, and passed 100million streams on Spotify and YouTube.
And after popping into Bizarre HQ on a whistlestop trip to London, Moliy promised us this is just the beginning for her.
She said: 'It's amazing what's happened with Shake It To The Max. I'm just trying to be present and absorb it all. Momentum is still going, which is super exciting.
'I really want the song to reach the world. I love how it's bringing people together with different remixes.'
During her trip to the UK Moliy hit the studio to work on new tracks.

I bought an abandoned house with no electric for 75p – I've funded renovations by sharing my DIY online

A YOUNG woman has revealed how she transformed an abandoned house and got paid for it in the process. Tia Weston bought the abandoned property for just 75p and quickly got to work with her dad to turn it into her dream home. 3 3 Taking to YouTube, Tia said: "I'm taking you through the full start to finish process of turning this abandoned house into my dream home. "It had no heat, no water, no electricity and it was used for storage for over 30 years. "It was in such bad shape that at one point it was going to be given to the fire department to be burnt down." She said that in total it cost her £29,000 to renovate the property. While some of the money came from selling her previous home, some of the cash came from sharing the renovation journey online. Through posting the transformation on YouTube she was able to get revenue from advertisements to help fund the cost. Tia and her dad had their work cut out for them, some of the wood on the roof had gone rotten and the flooring was also affected. She also had to pay to get the entire house to have electricity running through it as well as new windows because the house was so old. New plumbing also had to be fitted into the house so that Tia could renovate the bathroom. After the basics were done, Tia moved on to clearing the house out and redecorating the space. 3 Mrs Hinch raves about £2 Home Bargains buy that 'adds charm to your garden' & a £10 product that's 'cheaper than Amazon' The house had been left in disarray and used to store wood and old furniture. But she managed to transform it into a colourful modern space for herself. Inside the house, she used a light, pine wood for the floors, doors and finishes to add some much needed light into the home. She used pastel colours throughout to make it more homely as well. Home upgrades that add the most value to a house The best renovation to add value totally depends on your property, the local market and your potential buyers. Zoopla shared a list of upgrades that will instantly add value to your home. Loft conversion - increase of 15% Off-street parking - adds £50,000 to property price New kitchen - increase of 15% Garage conversion - increase of 15% Cellar or basement conversion - increase of 10-15% Open plan living space - increase of 3-5% New bathroom - increase of 3-5% The transformation had left people stunned and they were quick to praise Tia and her dad for their hard work. One person wrote: "The coolest part is that you did this all with your dad. You will always hold this memory in your heart." Another commented: 'I am a 61-year-old lifetime remodeler. You did a GREAT job young lady!" "Well done. You've done an amazing job," penned a third. Meanwhile a fourth said: "I wish more people would renovate instead of tearing down older houses. You all did such a great job!" Someone else added: 'The contrast between where you started and where you ended up is insane! Your hard work has really paid off."

Wet and windy weekend! Met Office warns of 40mph gusts in London plus as much rain on Saturday as ALL that fell in May - but heat will rise to 25C next week

Brits are warned of 'unseasonably windy conditions' this weekend, while as much rain as England experienced in the whole of May could fall in just a few hours, the Met Office has predicted. Forecasters said about 30mm of rain could fall in just three hours in southern parts of the UK, with up to 50mm over the course of the day. Met Office data shows England had 32.8mm of rain last month, almost half the month's usual average. They have forecast heavier and more frequent showers on Saturday, with hail and thunder possible and some unseasonably strong winds in coastal areas. There could also be a risk of surface-water flooding, which 'could lead to challenging driving conditions'. From June 1 to June 3 there has already been 10.7mm of rain, a fifth of the 50.9mm recorded for the UK during May. Sunday looks to be drier and the better day of the weekend, before further rain in northern England on Monday. Meteorologist Honor Criswick said the wet weather was because of low pressure. She said: 'At the north of the country this brings in a north-westerly wind, so gradually drags in frontal systems out from the west and south-west, and that leads to some pretty changeable and wet weather at times.' Met Office spokeswoman Andrea Bishop said the weather for the rest of the week would be 'changeable'. She said: 'Generally the theme is the continuation of something a bit cooler, a bit breezy at times, and a bit wet at times too. 'We are keeping an eye on a new front which looks like it will move in on Friday night, bringing rain which could be heavy, and possibly thundery at times on Saturday. 'Rainfall totals of 20mm to 30mm are likely in places and, at present, this looks like it will affect the southern half of the UK. 'We are keeping a close eye on this to see how it evolves over the next 24 hours or so.' Next week temperatures will rise to above average for the time of year, with highs of 25C next Wednesday in London and 23C in Manchester. The National Farmers' Union (NFU) said the change in weather would be welcomed by many farmers. Rachel Hallos, NFU vice president, said: 'After such a dry start to the year, this weekend's rainfall will be welcome in many areas. 'However, heavy downpours aren't the ideal way to restore soil moisture, what farmers really need is steady, consistent rainfall to support crops and grazing without causing run-off or damaging soils. 'These changing weather patterns, from long dry periods to intense bursts of rain, highlight the need for long-term planning and investment in water, particularly the water we need to produce the food we enjoy. 'Things like rainwater harvesting and more flexible abstraction rules are important steps in adapting to these new conditions.' Luke Hindle, duty manager for National Highways, urged drivers to plan journeys carefully.

Inside Rachel Stevens' incredible walk-in-wardrobe filled with £20,000 Hermès handbags, Saint Laurent heels and Chanel

shared an inside look at her luxurious walk-in wardrobe on Instagram on Thursday. The singer, 47, who rose to fame as a member of the pop group S Club, showed off her extravagant designer collection as she thanked Neville Johnson Furniture for bringing her dream space to life. A series of aesthetic snaps revealed a sleek room lined with custom-fitted wardrobes and shelves brimming with luxury items - including £20,000 Hermès handbags, Jimmy Choo and Saint Laurent heels, and a jaw-dropping Chanel collection. To the right of the room, Rachel added a chic dressing table complete with ample storage drawers. The glamorous setup featured a large arched mirror flanked by elegant light fixtures, with a wooden tabletop that added a warm touch. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Her bespoke wardrobes offered plenty of closet space, and viewers were given a glimpse of her enviable handbag and shoe collection. In one close-up shot, two Hermès Mini Kelly handbags can be seen sitting neatly on a shelf. The sought-after handbags typically retail from £20,000. Meanwhile, her Louis Vuitton mini backpack and JW Anderson black handbag were neatly placed beside the black Hermès Mini Kelly. Her Chanel collection also made a statement, with multiple classic flap bags on display, worth an estimated £27,540 in total. Gushing over her new space, Rachel captioned the post: 'Hey lovelies. Hope you're well and having a great week. 'I wanted to share my haven, my zen space (prayer emoji) there are still some details to add and a few decorative bits to change but I just LOVE it so much! 'I've created my dream room with the help of the brilliant, super talented and creative @simontcherniauk @nevillejohnsongroup who I absolutely loved working with from start to finish! 'Simon and the team were an absolute dream and I can't thank them enough for helping bring my vision and dream space to life and I can't recommend them enough. She concluded: 'I'll share the fun process and more details with you all soon x.' The post comes after Rachel shared an update on how her romance is going with boyfriend Brendyn Hatfield, 38, last month. The S Club 7 star who was partnered with the pro skater on Dancing On Ice in 2022, conducted an Instagram Stories Q&A with her fans. During the session where her followers were able to ask her personal questions, one fan asked the star: 'How are you and Brendyn (love heart emoji).' Sharing a sweet snap of herself and Brendyn and confirming they were still together, she responded: 'Really good thank you' alongside a smiley love heart emoji. Rachel was previously married to real estate agent and actor Alex Bourne, 48, from 2009 to 2022. She announced her separation from her childhood sweetheart in July 2022, just one month shy of their 13th anniversary. The S Club icon then announced she had found love with Dancing On Ice partner Brendyn. The couple went official with their romance in November 2023 after they were first paired together on the ITV show. Rachel previously lifted the lid on her separation from Alex during an appearance on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, comparing it to 'jumping off a cliff.' She admitted: 'It's a lot of navigating, especially with the girls because they've always been at the forefront.' 'I'm very lucky, their dad is a great dad, and we've always been so aligned with keeping them really safe in it and being really honest. 'We've had great advice on how to age-appropriately speak to them and help them feel safe in it all because that was my biggest fear - how they are going to be in all of this. She continued: 'You're changing your life. It's not only a marriage, it's a family around it, it's your friendship groups, your home, your children.' 'Changing your whole life, for me it felt like jumping off a cliff, like wow, it's the unknown. 'But I've always believed that we have to be happy, we have to be true to ourselves, and it's not something you decide overnight, it's something that takes so much thought and questioning. 'I haven't talked about it a lot publicly because I'm so mindful of everyone involved.' The former couple were childhood sweethearts and reconnected in the mid-2000s when Rachel was launching her solo career and Alex was still trying to make it as an actor in Los Angeles. They got engaged in June 2008 after 18 months of dating and tied the knot at Claridge's in London the following year. The pair walked down the aisle to S Club 7's hit Never Had A Dream Come True, and her bandmates - Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Tina Barrett - were there to watch them say 'I do'. The former couple also share two daughters, Amelie, 14, and Minnie, 11.
