Black Eyed Peas star Fergie returns to music in iconic video shot in London
Black Eyed Peas star, Fergie, rocked up in the capital to reshoot her music video for 'London Bridge', which she originally released 20 years ago, and which will now feature in a new Netflix series Black Eyed Peas singer, Fergie, has made a surprising return to music eight years after leaving the band. The Meet Me Halfway star, 50, has taken a lengthy hiatus from the spotlight after shooting to fame with the global chart-toppers, fronted by The Voice star, Almost 20 years after she released 'London Bridge' for her debut album, The Dutchess, Fergie has returned to the capital to reshoot the video after admitting that the original was in fact shot outside Tower Bridge. The Glamorous star reshot the visual for for the upcoming Netflix show, Too Much and stars alongside actress Megan Stalter in it. Seemingly underwhelmed by the real London Bridge, which many believe is not as visually iconic as Tower Bridge, Fergie quipped as she cut a flashback of the original video, "Now you see why we didn't shoot here originally" as she larked around with Megan, wearing a Union Jack skirt, top hat and black bustier. Fergie and Megan, 34, dance on the bridge in the clip and are surrounded by paparazzi as they sip tea. The Hacks actress recreates the singer's dance moves around the non-plussed King's Guard before eventually being arrested by them. The iconic Tower Bridge is in the background in several shots of the glitzy music video, which concludes with clips of Lena Dunham's upcoming Netflix series Too Much, which stars Megan and takes place in the UK. Reflecting in a press release, Fergie said of reshooting the video: "As an American girl who once had her own adventures in London while filming the video for 'London Bridge,' I instantly felt a connection to this project. "Being that the series was written and directed by Lena Dunham and starring the brilliant Megan Stalter about an American girl navigating her own London experience — my creative soul couldn't say no." Fergie stepped away from the Black Eyed Peas eight years ago before going onto release her second album, The Double Dutchess. In a interview with Billboard magazine, bandmates, and Taboo revealed that Fergie left the group because she wanted to be "great mom." explained, "We love her, and she's focusing on being a mom. That's a hard job, and that's what she really wants to do and we're here for her... It's really the way Fergie designed it, so we're respecting her design. We love Fergie, and we don't want anything but awesomeness for her." In 2017, Fergie released her second solo album Double Dutchess, which helped produce, and launched her record label Dutchess Music. The same year, the singer divorced her husband, Josh Duhamel. They finalised their split in Nov. 2019 and have since been co-parenting their son Axl Duhamel.

‘Too Much's Meg Stalter Would 'Literally Start Crying' While Shooting Fergie's ‘London Bridge' Remix Video
After nearly 20 years, Fergie acknowledged a glaring mistake from one of her most iconic songs. Too Much star Megan Stalter recently spoke to Deadline about her new London-set romantic comedy series, which premieres July 10 on Netflix, and the 'very crazy' experience filming a promo video for the 2006 single 'London Bridge' with the 8x Grammy winner on the actual eponymous bridge. More from Deadline 'Too Much' Trailer: Megan Stalter Escapes To London In Lena Dunham's Netflix Comedy; Jessica Alba, Rita Ora, Andrew Scott Among Guest Stars Lena Dunham Took 'Intentional Break' From Acting After 'Girls' Marcia Gay Harden Joins Netflix Drama Series 'Trinity' 'Fergie is literally so amazing. She is so sweet,' raved Stalter. 'I would literally start crying watching her, and I would be like, 'you are so in your element,' like I'm seeing literally a bright shining star. I was also really tired because we started early, so I was very sensitive and emotional, but I also think even if I got any sleep, I would still feel this way. Then I would tell her that, and she's so present that she'd start tearing up, and she's just so amazing and she loves too much.' Following the original video, which was infamously shot around the much more aesthetically pleasing Tower Bridge, Fergie got it right this time as Stalter acknowledged in the video, 'This is the bridge that everyone's making a big fuss about? It smells like piss.' 'Yeah, now you see why we didn't shoot here originally,' the Black Eyed Peas alum noted. 'And I've been paying for it for the last 20 f—ing years.' Stalter told Deadline that Fergie's 'Clumsy', which appeared alongside 'London Bridge' on her 2006 debut studio album The Dutchess, 'was me and my gay boyfriend's song in high school and so I would be like, 'That's our song.'' 'So it was very crazy,' she added of working with Fergie. 'I can't believe we got her to do it. She looks amazing.' Too Much stars Stalter as Jessica, a New Yorker who moves to London after a disastrous breakup and sparks a romance with musician Felix (Will Sharpe). Co-created by Lena Dunham and husband Luis Felber, the series is inspired by the couple's love story. Jazzablanca's wildest night yet : Caravan Palace and Black Eyed Peas bring down the house
It's Saturday night at Jazzablanca Village, the third day of this 18th edition—and the atmosphere is nothing like the two previous days. The venue is buzzing with festivalgoers, busier than ever. This time, more young people have shown up for a fiery lineup: Caravan Palace and the Black Eyed Peas. The party kicked off at Scene 21 with British jazz musician, saxophonist, composer, and bandleader Nubya Nyasha Garcia. She got things off to a powerful start with her extraordinary saxophone riffs, electrifying an audience eager to dance the night away. Caravan Palace brings electro-jazz to Casablanca Later, on the Casablanca Anfa stage, the energy reached a whole new level as Caravan Palace performed for the first time ever in Morocco. The French electro-swing band was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd, mostly young fans, whose numbers far surpassed those of the previous two nights. They launched straight into a head-banging, jazzy set packed with saxophone, clarinet, and trombone solos. «Bonsoir Casa! You can't believe how happy we are to be here for the first time», lead singer Zoé Colotis shouted. One of the band members followed up with a message in Darija: «Salam Casa, labas? Kolchi labas? M3akom Caravan Palace! Hna ferhanine m3akom! Dima Maghrib, 3acha l'malik!» Their charisma and stage presence were magnetic. With hits like Mirrors, Wonderland and Lone Digger, the band had the entire venue clapping, jumping, and singing along. The show reached a theatrical climax with a slow-motion robot dance before diving back into a full-throttle party mode. By the end of their set, the crowd was fully fired up, and impatiently waiting for the night's headliner: The Black Eyed Peas. Morocco rocks, and so do the Peas The transition was seamless. Spectacular visuals lit up the stage as the iconic group made their entrance to deafening screams. They opened with Let's Get It Started, instantly setting the crowd in motion. The Peas powered through a high-octane set. J. Rey Soul, the group's female vocalist, took the stage with her phone in hand, capturing the roaring crowd. «We came to Morocco for one thing», said «Morocco rocks!» The crowd shouted back: «Morocco! Morocco!» From Boom Boom Pow and Pump It to Mamacita and The Time (Dirty Bit), the setlist was packed with fan favorites. «This is not the last time we're coming back», they promised. «We'll visit Marrakech, but Casablanca is the best!» The audience roared in delight, waving heart signs and phone flashlights during Where Is the Love? The whole venue pulsed with emotion and unity. A freestyle shoutout to Morocco, live guitar riffs, and multiple encores, including I Gotta Feeling, kept the party going late into the night. The evening closed with an explosion of confetti and a powerful moment as returned to the stage draped in the Moroccan flag, taking a bow with the rest of the band. That's a wrap. A night full of rhythm, emotion, and connection, Casablanca showed once again that it has the soul of a true festival city.
