Eight terrorists killed in Kalat IBOs: ISPR
Security forces have killed eight terrorists during two successive intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan's Kalat district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
According to the military's media wing, the first operation was launched on July 19, targeting a location suspected of harbouring terrorists linked to the group. 'During the operation, four terrorists were successfully neutralized,' the ISPR stated.
Acting on intelligence gathered during the mission, a follow-up sanitization operation was carried out on July 21 in the surrounding areas. 'Four more terrorists of Fitna al Hindustan were hunted down and sent to hell,' the ISPR added.
Security personnel also discovered and dismantled a terrorist hideout during the course of the operations. A large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the site.

'Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain resolute in defeating all threats to the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan,' the ISPR emphasized, reaffirming the military's commitment to eradicating terrorism.
President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for the successful operation. In his statement, the President commended the forces for 'bringing anti-state elements to justice with courage and professional excellence.'
'Terrorists seek to sabotage peace and stability — something that will not be allowed under any circumstances. The nation is united, and terrorism will be defeated at all costs,' he stated, adding that operations would continue until terrorism is completely eradicated from Pakistan.

Separately, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the security forces, calling the operation in Kalat a significant success. 'We salute the security forces for sending Indian-backed terrorists to hell and foiling their malicious intentions through timely action,' he said.
Naqvi added that the nation viewed such efforts with admiration. 'The humiliating end of these Indian-sponsored terrorists sends a clear message — there is no hiding place for such conspiracies in Pakistan. Every last terrorist will be eliminated from the country,' he asserted.

China's strategic red line: unwavering support for Pakistan
In a historic and unambiguous declaration, Professor Victor Gao — close associate and advisor of China's paramount leader Deng Xiaoping and Vice President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), one of Beijing's most influential think tanks—publicly stated what analysts long assumed but never confirmed: China will always stand with Pakistan, in peace or in war, against any country that threatens its sovereignty and territorial integrity. 'China and Pakistan are all-weather ironclad allies. No one should second-guess this alliance between China and Pakistan. China will always come to Pakistan's help and assistance whenever Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity will be threatened by any country.' This was not a diplomatic flourish. Delivered on an Indian television in the presence of strategic commentators, Gao's statement was a decisive strategic message, one that carries weight not only because of his current position, but also due to his proximity to China's policymaking elite. His language left no ambiguity: the 'any country' referred to could be India, the United States, or any other actor contemplating actions against Pakistan's sovereignty. Gao's declaration came amidst heightened tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack in India, which killed several civilians. China, rather than blindly supporting any narrative, called for a thorough, transparent, and impartial investigation, aligning itself with Pakistan's diplomatic stance. Gao reiterated this position: 'We need to call for impartial and complete and thorough investigation into the background of this attack, before any country should seize this opportunity to use this attack as the trigger for escalation of tensions, or even conflict between India and Pakistan.' He cautioned against unilateral action based on conjecture or politicized assumptions: 'When you talk about terrorist attacks, you may know inside Pakistan, there have been terrorist attacks against Chinese nationals. We actually lost quite a few Chinese nationals inside Pakistan. But we always called for a thorough investigation into what exactly is happening behind the scenes—who was pulling the trigger, who was committing all these atrocities.' Pahalgam incident: Chidambaram's remarks refute allegations against Pakistan: Sherry
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman reacting to the remarks made by former Indian Home Minister Chidambaram regarding the Pahalgam incident, called his statement a rare moment of truth from within India's own political corridors. 'Former Indian Home Minister Chidambaram has held up a mirror to the Modi government,' said Senator Rehman. 'His statement has really blown a hole in the edifice of false allegations erected by Modi sarkar to just reflexively pin everything on Pakistan. It exposes the baseless and politically motivated allegations India has been leveling against Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam attack. There is no evidence to suggest Pakistan's involvement, yet the Modi regime continues to rely on scapegoating instead of introspection.' Senator Rehman underscored that Pakistan had offered India the option of an independent investigation into the matter, underscoring Islamabad's commitment to transparency and peace. 'We made it clear we are open to an impartial probe, but the Indian government refuses — because it fears that the truth will come out, and it won't support their narrative,' she said. Commenting on international dynamics, Senator Rehman noted, 'US President Donald Trump has gone on record no less than 27 times stating that he played a key role in brokering the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Modi continues to deny this, but doesn't have the courage to say Trump is lying. That silence speaks volumes.' 'Pakistan continues to stand as an advocate for peace and regional stability. In contrast, India clings to a dangerous pattern of blame games and disinformation, damaging the prospects for dialogue and progress,' she added. 'The Pahalgam incident, as many now acknowledge, was a tragic result of India's own state security failures. Instead of externalising blame, the Modi government must take responsibility and address its internal lapses. Deflecting failure by pointing fingers at Pakistan will not change the facts.' Senator Rehman concluded by calling on the international community to recognise the growing costs of political deflection and disinformation in the region, stating that peace cannot be achieved through propaganda and denial. Ex-Indian minister slams Modi over Pahalgam: ‘Don't blame Pakistan without proof'
NEW DELHI: Former Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that there is no evidence of Pakistan's involvement in the Pahalgam terrorist attack; the attackers were Indian nationals. Chidambaram, who is a member of the opposition Congress, questioned the Modi government 'Why does the Indian government assume that the attackers came from Pakistan? Has the government identified them as Pakistanis?' Congress leader P Chidambaram triggered a massive political controversy with his comment in an interview, in which he said 'homegrown terrorists' could be involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. He also said that 'there is no evidence' so far that the killers came from Pakistan. Chidambaram in an interview with The Quint said, 'Have they identified the terrorists? Where they came from? I mean, for all we know, they could be homegrown terrorists. Why do you assume that they came from Pakistan? There's no evidence of that.' Chidambaram also questioned BJP government's 'silence' on the issue. 'And why is the Prime Minister not speaking on Operation Sindoor? Why do you think there's a reluctance to have a debate in the temple of democracy? That's what Parliament is. After all, Prime Minister Modi has addressed the nation. He's addressed various rallies,' he said. Reacting sharply to his remarks, BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya posted on 'X' that 'Congress rushes to give a clean chit to Pakistan'. 'Why is it that every time our forces confront Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, Congress leaders sound more like Islamabad's defence lawyers than India's opposition?' Malviya asked. As row erupted over his remark, Chidambaram in a post on X said, 'The worst kind is a troll who suppresses the full recorded interview, takes two sentences, mutes some words, and paints the speaker in a black colour!'
