
Russian Security arrests Ukrainian agent who planted bomb in Moskalyk's Car
Moscow - SABA:
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced the arrest of a Ukrainian intelligence agent who planted a bomb in a car that exploded and killed Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalyk, Deputy Head of the Russian General Staff's Main Operational Directorate.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the FSB said:
*"Through urgent operational measures, the Russian Federal Security Service has arrested Ukrainian intelligence agent Ignat Kuzin, who held Ukrainian residency permits.
Kuzin had rigged a Volkswagen Golf with an improvised explosive device in Balashikha, Moscow Oblast.
The remote-controlled detonation, activated from Ukrainian territory on April 25, 2025, killed Moskalyk as he exited the building."*
On Friday, Yaroslav Moskalyk, deputy chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian General Staff, was killed in a car bomb explosion in Balashikha, a suburb of Moscow.

Russia, Ukraine exchange military prisoners under age of 25
Moscow – Saba: The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Monday that Ukraine has returned the first group of captured Russian servicemen under the age of 25 from territories still under its control, pursuant to the Istanbul Agreement. The ministry said in a statement: "In accordance with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached on June 2 in Istanbul, the first group of captured Russian servicemen under the age of 25 has been returned from territories under the control of the Kyiv regime." The ministry indicated that a similar number of captured Ukrainian forces were handed over in exchange. It clarified that all Russian servicemen will be transferred to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation in medical facilities affiliated with the Russian Defense Ministry. Russian FSB announced thwarting of group attempting to smuggle helicopter equipment into Ukraine
Moscow - Saba: The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) announced on Monday the thwarting of an international group involved in preparing to smuggle helicopter equipment out of Russia, including into Ukraine. Sputnik quoted the FSB as saying in a statement that "the smugglers' group was commissioned by foreign organizations to purchase new components for Russian-made Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters. The estimated cost of these components is more than 400 million rubles ($5 million)." The FSB reported that "the group, which was preparing to smuggle helicopter equipment, included six citizens from Russia, Ukraine, and countries in the Middle East." The FSB revealed that "the number of attempts by unfriendly countries to obtain weapons and military equipment for Kyiv from Russia is unprecedented." The service stated that "since October 1, 236 attempts to smuggle drones, optical equipment, and other materials from Russia have been thwarted." It added that "in light of the growing external threats resulting from the coordinated activities of hostile states to provide material and technical assistance to Ukrainian armed groups, the security services have encountered an unprecedented number of attempts to obtain weapons and military equipment essential to the Kyiv regime's maintenance of its combat capabilities. This activity has been shown to be controlled by foreign special services on a large scale and manifests itself in the pursuit of a wide range of products from the Russian military-industrial complex." The service stated that "Kyiv has attempted to establish a stable channel for smuggling Russian aviation products to compensate for the shortfall in Ukrainian Ministry of Defense orders." Turkish FM discusses Ukrainian crisis with NATO SG
Ankara- Saba: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the Ukrainian crisis by phone on Sunday with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. According to the Russian news agency Novosti, a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry said: "Fidan and Rutte discussed efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and preparations for the NATO summit scheduled for June 24-25 in The Hague." The second round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine was held on June 2 in Turkey. The meeting lasted for more than an hour, during which the two sides exchanged memoranda of understanding on the settlement of the conflict. Head of the Russian negotiating delegation Vladimir Medinsky reported that the two sides reached an agreement on a broad prisoner exchange that includes sick and wounded prisoners according to the "all for all" principle, in addition to prisoners under the age of 25.
