Moment passenger shoots fireworks at another car in a road-rage confrontation
Police in Washington state are asking the public for help identifying the truck where a passenger launched fireworks at a nearby driver in an apparent road-rage confrontation caught on video.
A woman in Kitsap County was left 'terrified' after the driver of a four-door Dodge truck followed her, passed her and then a passenger inside the car began shooting Roman Candle-style fireworks at her vehicle.
Exterior cameras on the woman's car, as well as the dashcam, captured the incident and showed the driver pursuing the woman even after she attempted to drive ahead of the truck.
Throughout the chase, a passenger in the truck can be seen launching fireworks at her vehicle. Sparks trickled across the woman's car and the road as she tried to swerve to avoid them.
The truck eventually drove away from the woman after she pulled into the parking lot of a Fred Meyer grocery store.
Authorities in the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office believe the incident was some form of road rage and are looking for the driver and passenger of the car for questioning.
The sheriff's office has posted the dashcam footage on Instagram and Facebook and is asking the public to call if they recognize the truck. Authorities were apparently unable to get a clear view of the truck's license plate.
The incident occurred on Central Valley Road around 9 p.m. on February 1.
It is unclear at this time what happened before the incident that caused the truck driver and passenger to act out.
Fireworks are legal to purchase and discharge in Washington state however, they are limited to a very specific time frame around the Fourth of July and New Year's Eve.

My son would have helped you, she told Reno. 'I just want to know why,' she said. 'He would have done anything you asked.' Earlier in the hearing, Petersen questioned Detective James Nielsen on videos from Reno's Facebook account. They showed him holding guns, money with rap music playing, or smoking. Police believe Johnson was shot around 2 p.m. While a patrolman was writing a report at the Gary Police Station, 555 Polk St., a man who matched the one seen on the video walked by him and a colleague. He was wearing the same clothes, including a Black hoodie with white lining and brown tag. The other officer approached him. Reno gave his name, but he wasn't arrested, since the man in the video wasn't identified yet. Police learned Johnson started selling marijuana a month earlier to help pay his bills. Reno was arrested two years later. Investigators used 'facial recognition software' to help match security footage outside the Gary Police station to the man seen on camera at Johnson's apartment, court filings show. That left some questions on the software's accuracy. State lawmakers recently passed legislation to tighten standards for witness identification on photo lineups. It requires police to tell witnesses a suspect might not be in the lineup, cutting pressure to pick a photo; 'filler' photos – the non-suspects — have to look as close to a suspect as possible, and a witness' 'confidence' will have to be recorded. CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — With the Fourth of July quickly approaching, the City of Champaign's first responders are encouraging residents to prioritize fireworks safety. More than 31,000 fires start each year due to fireworks, and city officials are urging residents to leave the fireworks to trained professionals to prevent injuries and property damage. Children younger than 15 years old account for 28% of the estimated fireworks injuries. Illinois EPA sponsoring Champaign Co. household waste collection event However, those who choose to celebrate with fireworks are asked to follow these safety tips: Use legal fireworks only, such as sparklers, and even though sparklers seem like a safer alternative, they can heat up to 1,200˚F. Do not allow children to use them without adult supervision. Any firework that is lit by a wick, explodes and/or shoots into the air is generally illegal in Champaign. Use all fireworks outdoors, away from houses, people, trees, dry grass or any other flammable substances. When handling fireworks, always have a bucket of water and a fire extinguisher nearby. If injured by fireworks, go to a doctor immediately. If it is an eye injury specifically, do not rub the injury, as that may cause more damage. The best way to prevent injuries from fireworks is to not use them at all. Attend public firework displays and leave the igniting to the experts. Champaign woman to host event for gun violence, drug abuse awareness For a more detailed definition of fireworks, residents can visit the City of Champaign Municipal Code of Ordinances, specifically Chapter 13, Article II. This includes what is allowed and prohibited within Champaign city limits.
