Pep and Cristina met in 1994 but didn't marry until 2014 - tying the knot at an intimate ceremony on the outskirts of Barcelona.
They had spent the majority of their marriage living separately when Cristina decided to move back to Barcelona with one of their daughters, Valentina.
The pair continued to make things work long distance until their split in December of last year.
However, they insisted that things would remain amicable throughout divorce proceedings - and that they would even share the same legal team.

Sources said in February that they had already agreed the initial terms of a multi-million pound settlement agreement - which would be finalised in a matter of weeks.
Respected Spanish journalist Lorena Vazquez, who broke the story of their split, revealed: "They want it above all to be friendly for the sake of their children.
"As you can imagine money is not going to be an issue and they have already agreed the initial terms to make sure this separation is the most cordial possible.
"They have a very good relationship, so much so that the same lawyer is arranging the whole thing.

I make my 3 kids DIY pick & mix bags for 35p every summer as I'm sick of getting guilt tripped at the corner shop
Plus, how to survive six weeks of school summer holidays THAT'S SWEET I make my 3 kids DIY pick & mix bags for 35p every summer as I'm sick of getting guilt tripped at the corner shop THE summer holidays can feel like a marathon of small expenses, and for many parents, the daily trip to the corner shop is a guilty pleasure that quickly drains the wallet. One genius mum has had enough, and she's found a brilliant way to beat the "can I have a sweet?" guilt trip while saving a fortune. Advertisement 3 A mum has discovered a super savvy hack to help make summer holidays more affordable Credit: Getty The savvy mother-of-three, known as 'savvysavingmamaxo' on TikTok, shared a video revealing her simple yet effective trick. Frustrated that a quick visit to the local shop could easily cost over £10, she decided to pre-empt the inevitable pleas for treats. Her solution? A DIY pick-and-mix station. She took a trip to Farmfoods and spent just £8.87 on a mountain of different sweets. Advertisement To make the haul go even further, she shared a clever hack: chopping up strawberry laces into smaller pieces to stretch them across more bags. Using pouches she already had at home, she created 25 individual sweet bags. The result was a miracle for her family budget. From her initial spend, the cost of each bag came to a stunning 35p. Not only does the hack save a small fortune, but it also helps with portion control and ensures she's fully stocked for the entire summer. Advertisement The video, captioned with a shout-out to Farmfoods for helping her save "some serious pennies," quickly gained over 104,000 views. Shoppers rushed to share their thoughts and praise her creativity. I ditched the UK & bought a house for the same price as a summer holiday One commenter wrote: "Great idea mixing it all up," admitting they usually "stand there counting out each sweet equally in case they moan that one has a sweet they didn't get." Another added: "My mum used to put a pillow, colouring book, pens, sweets, drinks in the car when we were going on holiday for each of the three of us. We LOVED it. Advertisement Creativity is key.' The hack even inspired one user to make a bag for themselves: 'I wanna do this for myself let alone my son. Love how cheap it was!' Three ways to save cash this summer Travel Smarter, Not Harder Forget the stress of finding and paying for parking by hopping on a train. For groups of three to nine adults, you can save big with GroupSave, which offers a third off the price of off-peak tickets. For a budget-friendly option, consider FlixBus, which connects various UK cities to popular beach spots like Brighton and Bournemouth, with tickets often starting from just £5. Websites like are a great resource for finding and booking private driveways for a fee. Advertisement Pack Like a Pro To keep the little ones occupied for hours, a bit of preparation is key. Challenge them to a treasure hunt for the most unique shells and stones, a sand-sculpting contest, or a game of tic-tac-toe in the sand. Be sure to bring your own bucket and spade to avoid overpaying at beachfront shops. The same goes for essentials like sun cream, which is often far more expensive near the beach. By packing your own towels and a parasol, you can skip the costly sun lounger rentals. Advertisement You can even find a reusable beach parasol for as little as £4.99 at places like Home Bargains, an investment that will pay off trip after trip. Keep Costs Down with Your Own Food Beachside food and drinks can quickly inflate the cost of your day out. A simple trick is to freeze plastic bottles of squash overnight; they'll act as a refreshing, chilled drink that melts throughout the day. For a cool treat, pack homemade ice lollies in a cooler mug to keep them frozen for a few hours. Luka Modric tipped to PLAY for Swansea alongside being part-owner as Real Madrid legend's full role revealed
LUK AT THAT Luka Modric tipped to PLAY for Swansea alongside being part-owner as Real Madrid legend's full role revealed LUKA MODRIC is getting stuck in as he attempts to drive Swansea into the Premier League. While the 39-year-old has joined AC Milan after leaving Real Madrid, there is hope the Croatian star could end his career PLAYING for Swansea. After starring under Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu, he could go from the Special One to Special Swan! But Modric has already helped Swans sign Zeidane Inoussa by calling the 23-year-old Swedish winger to sell the club to him. And he has been studying videos of games and providing feedback to boss Alan Sheehan. Ahead of today's Championship opener at Middlesbrough, Swansea CEO Tom Gorringe revealed: 'Luka is looking at what he's going to do once he hangs up his boots. Advertisement READ MORE ON FOOTBALL 'Difficult decision' Ex-Arsenal star forced to retire 24 hours before first game of season 'He's interested in the business side, the development of young players, the coaching and tactical side... and all aspects he hasn't been exposed to as a player. 'Already he's been helpful from a recruitment perspective, speaking to potential targets. Where he's got connections, he provides feedback and plays a part in helping us recruit. 'If you're trying to sign particularly a midfield player Luka can ring them to talk about our project. 'There's no greater endorsement for Swansea than him.' He was impressed with the 'Swansea Way' of playing which saw them spend seven seasons in the top flight. And even in the seven years since they were relegated, they have not sacrificed those principles. Real Madrid give Luka Modric an emotional tribute at the Bernabeu Gorringe said: 'When we met in Madrid, Luka told me there's a trend to recruit footballers with big physical presence. But he believes football is played with the head. Advertisement 'Luka's a perfect role model when you consider the size he is and the career he's had — all from a humble background in the former Yugoslavia. He is passionate about helping others — and would be great if he could help us find the next Modric! 'In Spain, there's an affinity with Swansea because of our style and, with Luka being at Madrid for so long, he's got that. 'He lives it, feels it, breathes it and believes in the way we play. 5 Tom Gorringe has hailed Modric Credit: Getty Advertisement 5 Snoop Dogg is also involved in Swansea City Credit: X/SwansOfficial 'Even our all-white kit is the same as Real Madrid. Now he wants to help us get to the next level.' Modric plans to drop into Swansea's training ground to meet Sheehan's players and will also be talking to the squad and academy youngsters using Zoom and pre-recorded video. While the Croat's involvement is real coup for Swans the addition of megastar Snoop Dogg takes it to another level. Advertisement The rapper's social media following on five major platforms is 194.5MILLION alone! And Swans insist clubs of their size need to follow the example of Wrexham with Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and Birmingham, who have NFL legend Tom Brady among their backers, to have any chance of competing at the top level. Gorringe said: 'Our turnover is one of the lowest in the Championship. 'We've got a hugely passionate local fan base with decent attendances and good support from sponsors. Advertisement 'But that can only get you so far. Profit and sustainability rules now focus on generating your own income rather than be bankrolled by a wealthy benefactor. 'The reality is Wrexham's commercial revenue when they were in League Two was £20m. Last year, ours was £2.6m. 'That shows you the gap we've got to try to close.' Gorringe also believes that having a colourful character such as Snoop Dogg is exactly what the game needs. Advertisement He said: 'Football is media training everyone within an inch of their lives so all you get is vanilla answers. 'Everyone of a certain age remembers characters back in the day like Paul Gascoigne, people with real personalities. We want to do things properly but also have fun along the way and be something that resonates with people across the world.' Meanwhile, boss Sheehan says he will be using Modric and Snoop Doog to inspire him and his players. He said: 'They're both elites in their field. It would be naive if I didn't think I could learn from these highly successful people. Advertisement 'I've heard about Snoop's work-rate and the hours he does. Success isn't an accident, it's just right behaviours and actions over a long course of time. 'And with Luka he's a genius of a footballer and a role model. He's all action and little talk. 'My first question to him when he leaves Milan is, 'Can you sign for us!' Even at his age, he's still incredible.' 5 Advertisement TRANSFER NEWS LIVE - KEEP UP WITH ALL THE LATEST FROM A BUSY SUMMER WINDOW

Huge pop star locked in bitter battle with neighbours at £7.5m house over plans for high-tech gym in the garden
Residents of an entire block of flats nearby have jointly complained about the star's plans SPOT RIGHT NOW Huge pop star locked in bitter battle with neighbours at £7.5m house over plans for high-tech gym in the garden RITA ORA won't be getting invited round to her neighbours' homes for wine and nibbles this Christmas. The Heat singer has certainly got people living near her hot under the collar — after revealing plans to build a futuristic gym in her garden. 6 Rita Ora has incurred the wrath of locals over her home renovation plans Credit: Getty Unluckily for Rita, when she bought the £7.5million Grade II-listed North London property in 2021, she actually moved in next to a bunch of NIMBYs who have moaned about her home renovations. Now, after her architect submitted plans for a gym, which would sit in the sunken courtyard of the property, they're up in arms again. I've been told that residents of an entire block of flats nearby have jointly complained. They lodged an objection that stated: 'Residents who chose this area for its tranquillity should not be forced to live with artificial lighting, amplified sound or loss of privacy.' They added: 'Although acoustic insulation is mentioned, the inclusion of bifold doors suggests that music and voice projection could occur at any hour. "The neighbouring property has a strict rule prohibiting large gatherings or parties, adopted precisely to preserve peace and respect among neighbours. 'This proposal undermines that shared understanding and carries the potential to generate conflict, complaints and even legal disputes.' The moan didn't end there though, with the group adding: 'This proposal has been drafted (deliberately or not) with minimum impact to the owner but with apparent disregard for the multiple adverse effects on surrounding neighbours.' I'm pretty sure Rita, right, just wants a place to work out . . . Someone else also lodged a grievance stating they were concerned about whether the gym would displace local squirrels and foxes. Rita Ora looks incredible as she strips off to thong bikini to enjoy an ice lolly by the pool Given that squirrels are actually vermin, and foxes spend much of their lives in London looting bins and making a racket with their blood-curdling mating noises, I think Rita would be doing her neighbours a favour if these creatures did give their homes a wide berth. All this fuss over a gym, which, I add, is going to be soundproofed from top to bottom. If I were Rita, I'd join Virgin Active and spend the cash on something at the bottom of the garden that would really annoy them. Such as a massive sculpture, painted glow-in-the-dark yellow! Elton no to hologram SIR ELTON JOHN has insisted he's not getting an ABBA-style hologram show. Eagle-eyed fans got their hopes up after seeing documents trademarking his name for 'holograms and video projections', as well as 'immersive 3D virtual reality experiences'. But those close to Elton confirmed there was no plan in the works. Elton said in 2018 that it was not something he'd consider. But When the Rocket Man announced his final tour, he lent in to virtual reality – with a pop-up at London's King Cross featuring an augmented-reality virtual Elton playing the piano. When asked about the stunt, Elton, right, said he was pretty much a technophobe, adding: 'I'm a Luddite. 'I've never downloaded anything in my life. Not even porn.' Acts including Kiss and the Rolling Stones are already embracing the new tech. Sir Mick Jagger said: 'You can have a posthumous business now.' Following his huge final Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, Elton has been working hard on new music and dropped his last album, Who Believes in Angels?, with Brandi Carlile in April. Hopefully he will be back on stage soon . . . and thankfully, it will be the real thing and not an illusion. Shape of Ed's missus on vids 6 Ed Sheeran's wife Cherry made a secret appearance in music video for new track A Little More Credit: Getty 6 Cherry features briefly as a therapist who helps out Harry Potter star Rupert Grint Credit: ED SHEERAN's wife Cherry Seaborn is his biggest fan – and now she's popped up in the music video for his new track A Little More. I spotted Cherry, above with Ed, at the start of the video, where you see Harry Potter star Rupert Grint talking to a therapist after being released from prison. Cherry appears as the shrink employed to chat to Rupert, in main pic above, but it's a blink-and-you'd-miss-her snapshot. She is no stranger to having cameos in Ed's videos, with Cherry previously appearing in three of them. In 2022 fans loved when she popped up in Ed and Elton John's Merry Christmas music video wearing a blue dress. That same year, Cherry also appeared in the promotional video for the North American leg of Ed's Mathematics tour. She also featured in the video for Put It All On Me, which showed Cherry and Ed hugging and dancing in their kitchen. I expect plenty more cameos from Cherry when Ed's album Play comes out on September 12. SALTBURN actor Barry Keoghan once adopted a wild parrot that flew into his London apartment. The Perfectly singer was all arms and legs in this snap, twisting into an extremely uncomfortable-looking pose. But she was happy to suffer for her art, with the impressive picture used to promote her new clothing collection with online shop On. Twigs created the dancewear-inspired line with the brand, which previously joined forces with Zendaya on a collection. She said: 'This capsule collection is about feeling confident in your body and free to express yourself – whether you're dancing, creating or just moving through your day.' If I moved through my day like Twigs in this photo, I think I'd end up at my chiropractor's house again. Mariah's tax gripe for king 6 Mariah Carey plans to do Brits a favour when she performs at Sandringham Credit: Getty WE could all be thanking Mariah Carey soon. The Hero singer intends to ask The King to sort taxes and London's Congestion Charge when she performs at Sandringham next week. Mariah told Capital Xtra radio host Manny Norte she had planned not to bother Charles. But she changed her mind when she heard the presenter's moan. Explaining what he'd like her to pass on, Manny said: 'That's what I want – no tax, no congestion or parking fees for the rest of my life. You know what I mean?' Mariah replied: 'And you think he's just going to give that to you? I'm going to say you told me to ask.' She added with a laugh: 'I'm serious.' Shop-stir Yungblud hits union jackpot 6 Yungblud launched his new London store in front of hundreds of fans with a traffic-stopping gig Credit: The Mega Agency YUNGBLUD stopped traffic in London in this natty Union Jack outfit when he opened his new shop. Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized – or BRAT – was launched on Thursday. Hundreds of fans brought chaos to Denmark Street as he celebrated the opening of his clothing store and music venue with an outdoor gig. The street, filled with recording studios and music shops, is steeped in music history, with the Rolling Stones recording there, Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin writing songs in offices in the street during the Sixties, and The Sex Pistols recording their demos there. Yungblud told the crowd: 'Keep Denmark Street alive. Keep British f***ing music alive. Keep British music powerful.' He later added of his new store: 'I want a physical space where people can come, find others with similar ideologies to them. 'I've always found it hard to connect in this world and my whole brand is about providing spaces where people can do that. 'This is a place where you can buy clothes, get a coffee, have a beer, play pool, do an art class, watch a band, start a band. The possibilities are limitless. 'It's only small right now, but I have a massive vision to take these all over the world.' I have no doubt that will soon become a reality.
