Simone Inzaghi Bids Heartfelt Farewell To Inter Milan Ahead Of Saudi Arabia Move
Simone Inzaghi has bid farewell to the Inter Milan faithful after deciding to leave the club for Saudi Arabia.
In an official statement released by Inter.it, the 49-year-old sent a heartfelt message to the Nerazzurri fans.

Despite Inter's hopes of trying Simone Inzaghi down to a new long-term deal, the parties will go separate ways.
Indeed, Al-Hilal's stratospheric contract offer has proved too tempting for the former Lazio coach.
He will earn around €50 million for a two-year deal in Riyadh. Therefore, it would make him one of the world's highest-paid managers.
Meanwhile, he leaves the San Siro with a few regrets.
Though he won the Serie A title last season and five other major domestic trophies, Inzaghi couldn't conquer the Champions League.
He helped the 20-time Italian champions qualify for two finals in the last three years, only to lose both.

Unfortunately, Paris Saint-Germain thrashed his team 5-0 in this season's showpiece in Munich.
It proved Inzaghi's final game in charge.

'Dear Nerazzurri family,' the message starts.
'The time has come for me to say goodbye to this club after a four-year journey, during which I gave everything.
'Every day I dedicated my first and last thought of the day to Inter. I was reciprocated with professionalism and passion by players, managers and every single employee of the club.
'The six trophies won, including the Second Star Scudetto, together with the path in the Uefa Champions League in 2023 and a few days ago.

'It's a tangible testimony to how much my work has been supported by a communion of intent with my staff and with every member of Inter.
'I thank the shareholders for the trust that has never been lacking, the President and his collaborators for their daily help and dialogue.
'On a difficult day like today, I think it is right to reiterate this sense of gratitude also for the discussion that ended a short time ago.
'We were sincere and decided together to conclude this magnificent journey.
'I want to dedicate one last word to the millions of Nerazzurri fans who cheered me on, cried and suffered in difficult moments.
'We laughed and celebrated in the six triumphs we experienced together.

Maserati ready to present new business plan very soon, brand boss says
MODENA, Italy (Reuters) -Maserati plans to present a new business plan shortly, soon after parent company Stellantis' new CEO Antonio Filosa officially starts in his job later this month, the head of the struggling luxury carmaker said on Thursday. The loss-making Italian brand, the only one in the luxury segment for the world's fourth largest automaker, has no new model launches scheduled at the moment, with Stellantis reviewing Maserati's strategies after a previous business plan was put on hold last year. Maserati CEO Santo Ficili said the plan was being finalised and would not just include new products but also redesign relations with dealers and the assistance network. "We have clear ideas about what we want to do, we hope we can be ready very soon," Ficili said at the Motor Valley Fest in the Italian city of Modena, where Maserati is headquartered. "Let's wait for Antonio to take up his job," he added. Stellantis last week named its North American chief Filosa, an Italian national, as its new CEO. His appointment will be effective from June 23. "Antonio loves the (Maserati) brand, I am sure we'll do great things," Ficili said, adding Maserati will continue to design, engineer and manufacture all its models in Italy. Asked about market speculation that Stellantis could assess a sale of Maserati amid poor results and falling sales, Ficili reiterated the group had no plans at all to divest from it. Ficili, who is also the head of Stellantis premium brand Alfa Romeo, said a review of the Alfa plan was imminent too. The group has hired consultant McKinsey to advise on strategies for Maserati and Alfa Romeo as they face a hit from U.S. tariffs. Maserati makes around 30% of its sales in the U.S., while Alfa Romeo generates some 15%. Sign in to access your portfolio

Journalism's jockey readies for Triple Crown rematch with Sovereignty at Belmont Stakes
SARATOGA SPRINGS — Journalism is the lead story in horse racing in the days leading up the Belmont Stakes. The Preakness champion is the 8-5 favorite for Saturday's 157th running of the third jewel in the Triple Crown, just slightly more expensive than Kentucky Derby winner Sovereignty, who is 2-1 on the morning line. Advertisement As with any juicy tale, Journalism's comes with a helping of controversy after his rock-'em, sock-'em dash to the wire at Pimlico on May 17. As the field turned for home, Journalism was on the rail and in a box, behind Gosger and Clever Again with Goal Oriented on his outside. Connections on all sides would run with their own accounts of what happened next. Advertisement According to the industry publication Paulick Report, Journalism's right shoulder appeared to bump Goal Oriented's left hip, which caused Goal Oriented to turn inward, thus sending Journalism bouncing into a collision with Clever Again. Jockey Umberto Rispoli muscled Journalism between the two horses and came out the other side only to see Gosger running away with the race. But then the bumper car turned into a top-fueled dragster and chased Gosger down. The pull quote from Clever Again's trainer Steve Asmussen was that Rispoli rode Journalism 'like a rented mule.' But Rispoli and Journalism's trainer Michael McCarthy tell it differently. 'That's part of horse racing. Sometimes you can have an easy trip, sometimes it gets a little crowded, you can have some bounce around. We came out of there pretty good,' Rispoli, the 36-year-old Italian who scored his first Triple Crown victory, told The Post as he watched Journalism work out on Saratoga's main track Tuesday morning. Getty Images 'When I saw Gosger open up four lengths in front of me, it puts you in a tough situation to think that you can go and get him. But [Journalism] got the job done.' 'Very brave effort, horse and rider,' McCarthy said. 'To do what they did inside the 16th pole is certainly something special. I read somewhere that [Journalism's] stride increased in length by about two feet in that last 16th of a mile, so that's pretty impressive.' In Saturday's Belmont Stakes, the second to be held at Saratoga during the $455 million renovation of Belmont Park, Journalism will get another crack at Sovereignty. Jason Szenes / New York Post The latter won their stretch battle in the Kentucky Derby by a head. It will be Journalism's third race in 35 days, while Sovereignty has been resting and training since the Derby. Rispoli, however, doesn't see it necessarily as just a two-horse battle in the expected field of eight. 'Obviously we are the two that won the first two legs and people want to see a rematch, but I think Baeza will be there as well,' said Rispoli, who has more than 2,000 career wins, with more than 600 coming since he moved from Italy to the United States in 2020. 'We don't need to disrespect any other horse in this field. If they are here, there's a reason.' 4 Journalism breezes during his workout at Saratoga Racecourse on June 4, 2025 in preparation for the Belmont Stakes. Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images Rispoli knows the reason Journalism is here. 'He's special. He takes the job [seriously], and he knows when he needs to be really serious and when he can chill around,' the jockey said. 'It's a different horse. Hopefully the Belmont will give us another Triple Crown [victory].' For McCarthy, the 54-year-old former assistant to Todd Pletcher, the Preakness was his second career Triple Crown triumph. He sent Rombauer to the winner's circle in the 2021 Preakness. Rombauer then cashed a show ticket in the Belmont Stakes. Advertisement 4 Preakness winner Journalism walks on the Saratoga Racecourse track on June 3, 2025. Jason Szenes / New York Post McCarthy's training operation is based in California. He says this week's Upstate New York weather has been similar to what Journalism is accustomed to. This, however, will be the horse's first race at The Spa. Tuesday morning, McCarthy and an entourage walked Journalism from his barn, across four-lane Union Avenue, down a long, manicured horse path and into the paddock so he could get a taste of his surroundings. 'Just to give him some familiarity, something to do,' McCarthy said. 'We have a lot of time on our hands here.' Advertisement In due time, Journalism's story will be written in full.

Pep Guardiola open to coaching international team: ‘I would love to be in a World Cup'
Pep Guardiola has expressed a desire to coach an international team at a World Cup. The Manchester City head coach has won domestic titles at every club he has managed, with 39 titles across his coaching career including three Champions League titles. Guardiola played 47 matches for Spain during his playing career but has never been involved in international management. Advertisement 'I would love to be in a World Cup, in a Euro, a Copa America,' Guardiola said in an interview with Reuters. 'I have always thought about it. But it depends on many, many things. If it happens, it's fine. If it doesn't happen, it's more than fine as well.' The 54-year-old is in no immediate rush to make a career move and does not want to leave City after finishing third in the Premier League and 13 points behind champions Liverpool. Guardiola signed a two-year City contract extension in November 2024 to take him through to the summer of 2027 — which would take his stint at the Etihad to over a decade. 'I want to be honest,' he said in November. 'I thought this (season) should be the last one. But the problems we had in the last month, I felt now was not the time to leave. 'I didn't want to let the club down.' Guardiola, who has previously coached Barcelona and Bayern Munich, has won 18 trophies since his 2016 arrival in Manchester and in 2022-23 led City to winning the treble of the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup in the same season.
