Jermaine Dupri Pleads For Offset, Quavo To Reunite: 'They're Better Together'

Jermaine Dupri is calling for former Migos members Offset and Quavo to reunite and rejoin forces, as he believes the pair's chemistry outweighs their individual talents as artists.
During a recent appearance on the BagFuel podcast, legendary producer and So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri spoke candidly about the fallout from the Migos' breakup and how it impacted Atlanta's Hip-Hop scene.
Dupri, a longtime supporter of the influential rap trio, emphasized the cultural and creative loss the city experienced following the departure of Offset from the group, which also included Quavo and the late Takeoff.
'That hurt a lot of the city, period,' he explained. 'The Migos breaking up was a bad situation for Atlanta because they was moving — and I think they're better together anyway, me personally.'
Dupri urged Offset and Quavo to settle their differences and consider reuniting as a duo, particularly in the wake of Takeoff's tragic passing in 2022. He expressed that the Migos, even as a pair, still have the potential to reclaim their collective magic and restore a piece of Atlanta's signature sound.
'It was really crazy for us. I ain't think Atlanta ni**as was gonna die,' Dupri recalled. 'An Atlanta rapper dying felt like 'Aw damn, what the f**k is going on?' It felt crazy to me.'
Having championed the Migos since their breakout in the mid-2010s, Dupri has long seen them as torchbearers for the city's next generation of rap stars. Their signature flows, infectious hooks, and group chemistry helped define Atlanta's influence on mainstream Hip-Hop over the past decade.
His call for reconciliation reflects a broader sentiment among fans and artists alike who feel the void left by their separation, and hope to see that energy revived.
Dupri's comments serve not only as a tribute to what the group achieved but as a plea to preserve and build on that legacy.
