After Performing the "Epic Prostration"... Jordan Condemns Israeli Knesset Members' Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif by members of the Israeli Knesset. This coincided with provocative acts carried out by extremists during such incursions, which occur under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. The ministry described the incident as an unacceptable and dangerous escalation, a blatant provocation, and a violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the historical and legal status quo. اضافة اعلان The official spokesperson of the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah, reaffirmed Jordan's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of repeated incursions by Israeli Knesset members and large numbers of extremists into Al-Aqsa Mosque / Al-Haram Al-Sharif. He emphasized that such actions fuel tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories, violate Israel's obligations as the occupying power in Jerusalem, and represent an attempt to impose temporal and spatial division of the holy site. He stressed that Israel has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites. Ambassador Qudah called on the international community to take a firm stance to compel Israel, as the occupying power, to cease its continuous and illegal violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, as well as its repeated desecration of sacred places. He also reiterated that Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety—covering 144 dunams—is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, and that the Jerusalem Awqaf Department, affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, is the sole legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage the affairs of Al-Haram Al-Sharif and regulate access to it. Earlier on Thursday, a far-right member of the Israeli Knesset stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque accompanied by thousands of settlers and performed what is referred to as the 'epic prostration'—a full-body gesture toward the Dome of the Rock. His actions were later welcomed by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The Palestinian Governorate of Jerusalem said in a statement that thousands of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque and Bab al-Rahma Cemetery on the fifth day of the Jewish Passover holiday, which began on Sunday and lasts for a week. The statement noted that the extremist Knesset member from the Religious Zionism party, Tzvi Sukkot, performed the 'epic prostration'—a full-body laying down gesture—toward the Dome of the Rock within Al-Aqsa Mosque.
It added that thousands of settlers also entered the Western Wall Plaza (Al-Buraq Wall), located west of Al-Aqsa, to perform the so-called Priestly Blessing ritual on the fifth day of Passover.

'Israeli' opposition bill to dissolve Knesset fails to pass
A bill to disperse the 'Israeli' Parliament –Knesset– failed to pass Thursday after it was voted down 61-53. Most Haredi lawmakers agreed to not support the proposal. The bill was submitted by the opposition to dissolve the parliament, which could have paved the way to a snap election. The opposition is composed mainly of centrist and leftist groups, ultra-Orthodox parties that are propping up Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government also threatened to back the motion. The opposition will now have to wait six months if it wishes to submit another bill of the same nature. Netanyahu's coalition, formed in December 2022, is one of the most right-wing in the country's history. It includes two ultra-Orthodox parties -- Shas and United Torah Judaism (UTJ). Existential danger Military service is mandatory in 'Israel' but under a ruling that dates to the country's creation -- when the ultra-Orthodox were a very small community -- men who devote themselves full-time to the study of sacred Jewish texts are given a de facto pass. Whether that should change has been a long-running issue. Efforts to scrap the exemption and the resulting blowback have intensified during the nearly 20-month war on Gaza as the military looks for extra manpower. Netanyahu is under pressure from his Likud party to draft more ultra-Orthodox men and impose penalties on dodgers -- a red line for parties such as Shas, who demand a law guaranteeing their members permanent exemption from military service. Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Wednesday that bringing down the government during wartime would pose "an existential danger" to the future of 'Israel', "History will not forgive anyone who drags the state of Israel into elections during a war," Smotrich told parliament, adding that there was a "national and security need" for ultra-Orthodox to fight in the military.

Argentinian embassy in 'Israel' to be moved to Jerusaelm, announces president Milei
Argentine President Javier Milei said Wednesday his country would move its embassy in 'Israel' to Jerusalem, the status of which is one of the most delicate issues in the 'Israel'-Palestinian conflict. "I am proud to announce before you that in 2026 we will make effective the move of our embassy to the city of west Jerusalem," Milei said in a speech in the 'Israeli' parliament during an official state visit. Argentina's embassy is currently located near Tel Aviv. 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked Milei for his decision. 'Javier, you are a true friend. With this visit, we are bringing our relations to new heights. 12,000 kilometers separate Buenos Aires, Israel and the Knesset in Jerusalem. This great distance is compensated for by the closeness of our hearts,' Netanyahu said.

Jordan Strongly Condemns Ben-Gvir's Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque - Jordan News
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif by Israel's extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, under the protection of the Israeli occupation police. The ministry labeled the act as a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, describing it as an unacceptable provocation and escalation that must be stopped immediately by Israel, as the occupying power. اضافة اعلان Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufian Qudah affirmed the Kingdom's firm rejection and strong condemnation of the repeated and provocative incursions by Minister Ben-Gvir, and the facilitation by Israeli police of such actions. He emphasized that these incursions coincide with restrictions imposed on Muslim worshippers, which constitute a flagrant violation of the legal and historical status quo of Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif. These acts are seen as attempts to impose a temporal and spatial division of the site and a desecration of its sanctity. Ambassador Qudah stressed that such practices do not change the reality that East Jerusalem is an occupied territory, and Israel has no sovereignty over it. He further warned of the grave consequences of the continued illegal and provocative violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, urging Israel, as the occupying power, to immediately halt all such provocative actions by Ben-Gvir. These actions, Qudah said, are part of the extremist Israeli government's policy aimed at escalating tensions in the occupied West Bank, conducting raids on Palestinian cities, and violating the sanctity of religious sites in occupied Jerusalem. He reiterated that Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety of 144 dunums, is a solely Islamic holy site, and that the Jerusalem Awqaf Department, affiliated with Jordan's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, is the sole legal authority responsible for managing and overseeing all affairs of the mosque and regulating entry to it.
