Who are Bob Vylan, the English punk duo behind Glastonbury IDF controversy?
English punk duo Bob Vylan have sparked controversy this weekend following their incendiary performance at Glastonbury.
The two Bobs – frontman Bobby Vylan and drummer Bobbie Vylan – have found themselves the subject of police investigation after chants of 'free Palestine' and 'death to the IDF' were made during their set on West Holts stage on Saturday.
As debate raged on over whether Irish rappers Kneecap should be allowed to perform at the event, Bob Vylan contributed their own explosive take, leaving festival organisers 'appalled' by what was said.
As per footage from last night's performance, Bobby Vylan led the audience in chants of 'free, free Palestine,' and other statements which have been construed as 'threatening.'
A spokesperson for the BBC described the comments as 'deeply offensive' and promised that the performance would not be made available on demand.

Who are Bob Vylan?
Formed in Ipswich, London in 2017, Bob Vylan consist of singer and guitarist Bobby Vylan, and drummer Bobbie Vylan – known together as 'The Bobs.'
Their musical style is described as a combination of grime rap and punk rock, best evidenced in their 2020 hit We Live Here.
This politically-charged song, released in the summer of Black Lives Matter, recalled the 1993 murder of 18-year-old Stephen Lawrence in its polemic on race relations in the UK.
The duo have released five albums to date – starting with their self-produced and distributed Vylan, in 2017.
In 2019, they released their first studio album, Dread, which they followed with We Live Here (2020), Bob Vylan Presents the Price of Life (2022) and Humble as the Sun (2024).

Are Bob Vylan brothers?
Bob Vylan are not related by blood. The pair adopted the Bobs moniker in a bid to protect their anonymity.
Their real names are currently unknown.
Five years after their debut, Bob Vylan scored Best Album at the 2022 Kerrang! Awards and played at Chicago Riot Fest that same year.
'The band has gotten itself to a point where you can't really ignore you,' the band said in an interview with DIY Magazine.

What did Bob Vylan say at Glastonbury?
It's certainly hard to ignore the band following their performance at Glastonbury this weekend.
As they launched into their set, vocalist Bobby led the attendees in chants of 'Free, free Palestine,' and 'death to the IDF (Israeli Defence Force).'
He also declared: 'from the river to the sea Palestine… will be free,' sparking criticism from the Israeli Embassy.
'The embassy in the United Kingdom is deeply disturbed by the inflammatory and hateful rhetoric expressed on stage at the Glastonbury Festival,' the organisation responded in a statement.

UK Health Secretary Wes Streeting described the incident as 'appalling,' but suggested that the Embassy should 'get your own house in order' before criticising Glastonbury.
'I think there's a serious point there by the Israeli embassy that I take seriously. I wish they'd take the violence of their own citizens towards Palestinians more seriously,' he said in an interview with Sky News.
Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy has also condemned the BBC's decision to broadcast the set live.
A spokesman for the politician said: 'We strongly condemn the threatening comments made by Bob Vylan at Glastonbury.'
A statement from Glastonbury reads: 'Their chants very much crossed a line and we are urgently reminding everyone involved in the production of the festival that there is no place at Glastonbury for antisemitism, hate speech or incitement to violence.'

Avon and Somerset police weighed in, releasing a post on social media which said: 'We are aware of the comments made by acts on the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury Festival this afternoon.'
'Video evidence will be assessed by officers to determine whether any offences may have been committed that would require a criminal investigation.'
As for the band, they've been keeping cool since yesterday's performance, as an unfazed Bobby posted an update to his social media.
Sharing a selfie via his Instagram Stories, the frontman joked: 'while zionists are crying on socials, I've just had a (vegan) ice cream.'

Following a £1million investment, this beloved Cornwall attraction now welcomes guests overnight with the launch of Camel Creek Camping & Glamping. And my 11-year-old daughter Lexi, husband Paul and I were among the first families to experience it. The site offers grass, hard-standing, and all-weather touring pitches plus luxurious glamping options including bell tents and safari lodges. The whole area has been beautifully landscaped: Think lots of twinkling lights, greenery and space. Our safari lodge, aptly named Sunset, overlooked West Country farmland stretching to the horizon. More importantly, it was just a two-minute walk from more than 40 thrilling rides and attractions. Despite being a sophisticated tent rather than a solid building, the lodge was surprisingly spacious — big enough to sleep nine — though smaller family safari tents sleeping up to four are also available. And it came with a private deck, en-suite bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. We were amazed by the luxury touches: Super-soft linens, quality towels and proper kitchen utensils that made it feel like a premium hotel under canvas. The seaside town of Newlyn in Cornwall has been dubbed as one of the 'coolest' places to relocate Luckily for us, Camel Creek is a fantastic day out no matter what the weather, as many of the rides and attractions are under cover. The park boasts more than 45,000sq ft of indoor play areas, ensuring families can enjoy themselves even on rainy days. Key covered attractions include the newly designed Hidden Garden indoor play and cafe, Creeky's Playhouse (an indoor soft play area), the 5D Theatre with moving seats and 3D glasses and various animal encounters housed in indoor facilities like the reptile house. The water rides are probably the best for adrenaline junkies — and those who don't mind getting wet, which Lexi didn't. As it was quiet due to the weather, she went on her favourite water ride Thunder Falls, six times in a row — drenched, yet in high spirits, by the time she got off. Luckily a hot shower was only moments away. Merlin's Magical Playground is ideal for younger children, and home to a ball pit and slides. Leopard cats Animal lovers will enjoy the meerkats, pets corner and the reptile house. And new for this year are owls and leopard cats. My favourite ride was Raging Rivers, water slides you bomb down. The climb up is a bit arduous, but it's worth the effort. Standing more than 20ft above the ground, it offers two different slide experiences — a long bumpy ride or an almost vertical-drop smooth ride that will leave your heart racing. After a few hours in the park, we headed back to our lodge to dry off then ventured out to the on-site restaurant. There is also a shop selling basic provisions if you want to cook. If it had been warm enough, we would have fired up the barbecue that came with our safari lodge set-up. Another time. The flexibility of having both indoor dining options and the ability to self-cater made our stay incredibly convenient, especially with unpredictable weather. After an action-packed day we were happy to retire to our lodge. The insulation and heating worked brilliantly, making the lodge surprisingly warm and cosy. It was hard to believe we were under canvas. Although the wind whipped up a little, we all slept well and stayed warm enough during the night. The next day, we had a couple more hours in the park. Arriving as it opened, we were delighted to be among the first on many of the rides. We loved our night of glamping at Camel Creek, even with the typical British weather doing its worst. The dress - a sheer lavender metal mesh design covered in golden Swarovski crystals was a reimagining of the one she wore in Freaky Friday's final wedding scene, originally designed by Mandalay. Whilst the riff off was covered in gems, the original featured a delicate lace trimmed camisole top and matching bias-cut skirt. Ludovic de Saint Sernin took to Instagram to say, 'I can't believe I'm actually writing this caption right now. I've been dreaming and manifesting this moment for nearly 20 years. And the best part of it all is that I got to see it with my own eyes! What an incredible privilege to be a creative and to have the opportunity to make your teenage dreams come true. I feel overwhelmed with joy and love right now. It's a full-circle moment for me.' The archival nod didn't stop at the dress. Earlier this week, she paid tribute to another one of her iconic roles - this time from her film debut, The Parent Trap . Appearing on Good Morning America on July 28, Lohan wore a butter yellow two piece set from Balmain's pre-spring 2026 collection by Olivier Rousteing. The look featured a cropped tweed jacket in a white and black plaid and a matching mini skirt. It's safe to say Lindsay Lohan's press tour is a love letter to her early roles. Bronzer, oh how I love thee! Out of everything in my make-up bag, nothing transforms my skin quite like it. As someone with a perpetually grey-toned complexion (the joys of being Irish), I take real joy in its transformative powers. And of course, like every other beauty journalist, I'm loyal to Chanel's iconic cream bronzer- the one every make-up artist under the sun swears by. In recent years, liquid and cream bronzers have definitely reigned supreme with powders seemingly taking a bit of a back seat. But when I spotted a rise in Google searches for a certain classic this morning- Guerlain's- I was reminded there's still a rightful place for a bronzing powder. Especially one as revered as Guerlain's. This is, after all, the brand that put tanning powders on the map when it launched Terracotta in 1984. It became an instant best-seller. So naturally, I decided this was the perfect time to become reacquainted with an old classic. But in a world of new launches all claiming to be the best - does it still live up to the hype? It delivers 'a true-to-skin bronzed glow.' Designed to make light work of dialling up the bronze, it's infused with luminescent shimmer pigments to provide that elusive lit-from-within radiance.
