OSLO (WAM) Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State, participated in the Oslo Forum. The annual platform, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway and the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue, convenes global conflict mediators, decision-makers, diplomats, and peacebuilders.Held under the theme 'All Hands on Deck: Mediation in a Changing World,' this year's forum focused on the resilience, relevance, and adaptability of mediation and diplomacy as a vital tool for conflict resolution.On the sidelines of the forum, Al Kaabi met with Andreas Kravik, State Secretary at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, both sides discussed global and regional developments, and explored potential initiatives aimed at promoting prosperity and stability in conflict-affected regions.Their discussions included advancing tolerance, coexistence and interfaith dialogue to foster peace; mitigating the risks of climate change; and strengthening people-to-people ties between Norway and the UAE through culture.The UAE's participation in the Oslo Forum demonstrates the country's steadfast commitment to dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution and multilateral cooperation in support of international peace and prosperity.
Al Kaabi was accompanied by Fatima Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway.

'Etihad Airways is experiencing disruption to several services across the region due to airspace closures and the continuing regional situation,' Etihad's duty media officer told The National in a statement on Saturday. Travellers transiting through Abu Dhabi to connect to cancelled flights will also not be accepted for travel from their point of origin. 'This remains a developing situation which is likely to cause some disruption and delays over the coming days. Etihad is continuously monitoring airspace and security updates in close co-ordination with the relevant authorities,' the Abu Dhabi based airline said. Dubai-based Emirates also cancelled flights to and from Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Iran.

14 June 2025 01:13 BAGHDAD (WAM)Baghdad today called on Tehran to continue its dialogue with Washington following the Israeli attack on a statement, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein held a phone call today with Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which he expressed "Iraq's strong condemnation of the Israeli military attack that targeted the Islamic Republic of Iran," affirming "Iraq's solidarity with Iran—its government and people—in the face of this dangerous escalation."The ministry added that "both sides discussed the details of the attack and assessed its impact," with the Iranian minister stressing that Tehran has the right to respond and defend its sovereignty in proportion to the scale of the also pointed out that "Israeli aircraft violated Iraqi airspace."The statement quoted Fuad Hussein as confirming that "Iraq has submitted an official complaint to the United Nations Security Council regarding this violation," and called on the international community "to take a firm stance against these repeated breaches, which pose a direct threat to Iraq's and the region's security and stability."Hussein urged the Iranian side on "the importance of continuing the path of dialogue with the United States, through Omani mediation, in order to reach solutions that contribute to de-escalation and enhancing security." On June 12, 2025 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sergei Terentyev, met with the First Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt – Head of the Egyptian Commercial Service, Abdelaziz Al-Sherif. The sides discussed the preparation of the 8th meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian Joint Trade Commission in Minsk, and the Roadmap for the development of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Arab Republic of Egypt. A special attention was paid to the issues of industrial cooperation in accordance with the agreements reached by the Heads of Governments of Belarus and Egypt in April 2024, including the resumption of work on assembly plants for Belarusian agricultural machinery in Egypt.
