Extreme Heatwave Makes This Handheld Mini Fan Almost Free, this Amazon Deal Won't Last but the Heat Will

It turns out that Summer is pretty hot for most of us. While there are those who proclaim to love being cooked alive while out and about, but we reckon they're lying. The key is good air conditioning, and while many homes have that installed, you're not always at home. So, what is one to do when they have to leave the house in this heat?
Well, how about getting a little handheld fan to help beat the heat? This Jisulife Handheld Mini Fan is currently 15% off, which means you can get your hands on it for just $15. It does more than just fan too. However, the deal isn't likely to last forever, so if you do decide to order this little handheld helper, you should be quick.

This little fan folds away when it's not in use to make it easily slot into not only purses and backpacks, but even pockets. This means you can just slip it out when things start to heat up and get a little bit of relief from the unending pressure that a hot Summer's day offers to all of us. However, it's far more versatile than just that. The first thing is its flexibility, because you can hold it as a 180-degree fan, but you can also unfold it to 270 degrees to sit it on a desk or flat surface and offer some hands-free fanning.
It's got an impressive battery life as well. It can actually last for up to 19 hours, depending on how you use it, which should get you through even the busiest days. There's a good reason for that outside of just staying cool though. That's because it can also be used as a power bank in a pinch, allowing you to give a little bit more power to your phone, and helping you survive the day when the battery life starts running low.
It even has a flashlight built in as well. This isn't something that'll always come in useful, but in those rare times when you do want a flashlight that's not eating up your phone battery, this is a great way to do it. This fan would normally set you back $18, but the handy 15% discount means it's just $15 for as long as this deal lasts. Just keep in mind that there's no way of knowing how long the deal will actually last, so don't wait around for too long.

Things To Keep In Your Bag If You're Schvitzing

I run hot. In the winter, in the summer, doesn't matter, I am experiencing a life-long hot flash that never seems to cease unless I'm standing in the walk-in freezer of a convenience store. I run sweaty too. Which doesn't always come with running hot, but in my case does, because the universe loves me. And now, in the spirit of being a good neighbor, I will share my list with you. A handheld, rechargable fan The top of the list and really, the most game-changing item I can suggest is a modest but mighty handheld fan. When I walk around the city, so many iconic women have them, and now I get to join the club. After 20-ish minutes of "research" (that's what we call indecision and frantic scrolling) I opted for this Honhey guy. I knew I needed something with the blades covered, I didn't want it to be too small and I liked that it came in blue. (It comes in a bunch of other colors, too.) The fan is about the size of a smartphone and can be recharged. It works at three speeds and truly is becoming something of an emotional support it from Amazon for $7.99. Or one with a mister For cool air with a light mist, this fan is still a compact, rechargeable option — only it has a water mist feature. Simply fill the handle part with water and enjoy both fresh air and a fresh spritz to keep cool on a hot it from Amazon for $13.29+ (available in eight colors). A pack of toilet wipes There is nothing, I tell you, nothing, like already being sweaty and then needing to use a public bathroom and either not having toilet paper or having bad toilet paper. The women of Philly have taught me the joy, relief and sometimes, necessity of carrying your own toilet wipes around. Especially ones with a durable, reusable, hard plastic opening and not that sad little flap that will betray you and have the entire pack dry out. I especially like this set because it comes with a ton of product and a super cute packaging that doesn't scream "BATHROOM WIPES" and could pass for something else in your a single pack from Walmart for $2.68. A single-pack body wipe I can't tell you the number of times I've seen people in the city whip out body wipes, especially during festivals or ball games or general long, outdoor activities. I've started them myself now, especially if I know I'm going to be out of the house for long and can attest to how helpful they are to feel fresher on the go. These come in citrus, lavender and unscented options. Get a 10-pack from Amazon for $14.95 (also available as a 30-pack). A spray hand sanitizer When I'm out in the city and feeling sweaty, my hands get extra clammy and become magnets for dirt and grossness. Also having a little sani spray just makes you feel instantly more refreshed and put together. I suggest (and often see) a spray hand sanitizer to keep in a summer bag — it's easy to share with kids or others, can be sprayed onto a seat or table and you can easily give a spritz to a kind you're looking for the elite option, Touchland hand sanitizers, cost a slightly shocking $10 but truly are chef's kiss. These sprays are rectangular and thin, so they're super easy to sneak in a bag. They literally smell like perfumes and feel so good on the hands and aren't sticky or wet. They like immediately dry upon being sprayed, but not in a dry-out way, just in a not-clammy way. Even if you don't spring for the Touchland, Get it from Amazon for $10 (available in a variety of scents). A mini face mist Another tip I've learned from watching and envying is to carry a small, light face mist with you. If you love Thayers toners and other products, you'll be pleased to carry this mini guy with you, offering a soothing and hydrating rose petal mist wherever you it from Amazon for $4.79+ (available in three scents and two sizes). A mini deodorant Sweaty people know, a simple swipe in the morning simply will not do. You need to get into the deoderant re-application game, which is much easier with a mini. You may only think about these when traveling, but I'm telling you, stock up on a couple now and keep one in the car and one in your bag — you won't be it from Amazon for $1.89. A face spray with SPF OK, if you haven't checked out everything from the vintage-inspired sun protection brand Vacation, you should do so now. They make super cute and campy products from an SPF 30 that looks like whipped cream to a new sun-screen take on the old-school Orange Gelée tanning oil. Their Super Spritz its a gentle face mist with SPF 50 in it that's easy to apply and re-apply and is made to go over makeup. I wouldn't use this in place of face sunscreen, but it's great to carry and use through the day. The Super Spritz offers some cooling and soothing effects while still keeping you protected from the sun. Get it from Amazon for $23. Revlon's oil control stick This is a reader favorite which truly is so popular it had to make the list. This handy tool promises to reduce shine without getting in the way of your makeup. The roller ball is made with volcanic stone and can be easily washed, removed and it from Amazon for $7.75. A four pack of sweat-absorbing bra liners Another reader favorite, these discreet liners slide easily under the base of your bra to absorb sweat and prevent chafing. They come in packs of four, with two color pack options and sizes ranging from small to XXL. They're made from moisture-wicking material and are compatible with most a four-pack from Amazon for $19.99. Sweat-absorbing Bust Dust For even more under-boob sweat help, try this editor-favorite and highly-rated "Bust Dust" from Megababe. It's a sweat-absorbing powder that's aluminum- and talc-free and isn't an aerosol can (though it kind of looks like one.) I can attest, you pump it and the powder comes out. It's truly a low-mess option that's body-safe and cornstarch-based, with aloe and chamomile to soothe skin and lavender to inhibit bacterial it from Amazon for $15.97. Megababe's Thigh Rescue Another Megababe mega-sweat hack: Thigh Rescue. Their trademark product is this truly beloved anti-chafe stick that helps you stay moving and grooving without getting sticky and red and patchy. It's really gentle and non-scented and is a sweaty person's dream to be used all over your body to keep you from rubbing and getting irritated when you're clammy and it from Amazon for $13.97. A mini La Roche-Posay This is a bit of a wildcard, but I've learned having a nice mini lotion in your bag makes you feel more put together and can give your skin some TLC, if you, like me, are sweaty but somehow still really dry? We live, laugh, love La Roche-Posay here and this mini is no exception. I just picked one up at a drug store, and have really liked it. I like that there's no scent and it's really gentle, so it plays well with whatever products you already have it from CVS for $9.99. Hydroseal blister Band-Aids I have publicly proclaimed my love for these hydroseal blister Band-Aids before, and I am happy to do so again. A sweaty foot means blisters are coming and these truly are the unbeatable option. I carry a couple in my wallet at all times and at the faintest sign of a blister starting I'm quick to put them on. Get a 6-pack from Amazon for $5.27. A set of Liquid I.V. Sweating a lot likely means losing a lot of water, and I'm a huge fan of Liquid I.V. I got onto it from old friends who are party animals and use it for hangovers. I'm not a big drinker, and just use it on really hot days or when I'm under the weather to get extra hydration in. These come in a bunch of fun flavors like pina colada and Acai berry. Get a 16-pack from Amazon for $21.61+.

Jennifer Lawrence Offers a Much-Needed Guide to Heatwave Dressing

New York City is currently experiencing a record-breaking heatwave, and Jennifer Lawrence used her outfit to issue something of a fashion-meets-function PSA. Today, the actor braved the nearly-triple-digit temperatures in a well considered, heat-friendly outfit. Lawrence wore an oversized vintage graphic T-shirt that bore a prescient reminder ('RECYCLE') and a drawing of the planet. Lawrence kept the white color palette for her bottoms: a cream silk slip mini layered over a sheer white lace-hemmed midi skirt. EXCLUSIVE New York, NY Jennifer Lawrence was spotted heading to a business meeting in Midtown NYC, effortlessly stylish in a Ralph Lauren hat, recycled t-shirt, and her favorite red handbag. She paired the look with leather sandals, adding a touch of casual Jennifer LawrenceBACKGRID USA 25 JUNE 2025 BYLINE MUST READ: Diamond / BACKGRIDUSA: +1 310 798 9111 / usasales@ +44 208 344 2007 / uksales@ Clients - Pictures Containing ChildrenPlease Pixelate Face Prior To Publication MMVV Lawrence's accessorizing was also strategic. Edmonton Oilers Captain's Wife Lauren Kyle McDavid Is All Business

Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle pose together at the 2023 NHL Awards in Nashville. (Photo by Bruce ...) While Connor McDavid skates circles around opponents as one of the top players in the National Hockey League, his wife Lauren Kyle McDavid is on a mission to share her style sensibilities in their home market of Edmonton. Kyle's latest venture is a furniture showroom, Trove Living, which opened this spring. The space also houses the offices of her interior design company, Kyle & Co, and an intimate gathering space, Bar Trove. 'I've always wanted to have a brick and mortar,' Kyle said last week, just days after McDavid's Edmonton Oilers fell to the Florida Panthers in the 2025 Stanley Cup Final. 'I feel like everything that I work on with clients, it was kind of behind the scenes. I wanted the general public to experience something that I created, so it was really inspired by my ethos and I think that's where Trove Living was a natural extension from our design firm.' Lauren Kyle McDavid (l) and business partner Brittany Schulz (r) at their Edmonton furniture ... More showroom, Trove Living. Once she settled on the historic Canada Permanent building in downtown Edmonton, the renovation brought her vision to life. 'The building itself, I think, really set a precedent for what I was doing,' she said. 'We had so much space in that building — it's, like, 9,000 square feet. So moving the design firm made sense. Then we had so much extra space and we were like, 'It would be nice to have somewhere where people can go.' Maybe do a little shopping for a small gift, and then they can go have lunch. Or they're coming from a meeting at our office and we can get them a reservation downstairs. It just made sense. And myself, as a person — I love hosting. I love making people feel good. I love cooking. So it it was a natural extension of that as well.' While rumors swirl about whether or not McDavid will sign a contract extension with the Oilers after he becomes eligible on July 1, his wife is putting down strong roots in the city with her many ventures. After meeting McDavid as a 19-year-old in 2016, the interior design student at what is now known as Toronto Metropolitan University used her education to design the couple's Edmonton home, which was featured in a 2021 spread in Architectural Digest. As it turns out, the collarbone injury that cost McDavid 37 games in his rookie season in 2015-16 came with a silver lining. While he was out of action and going through rehab, McDavid's NHL housemate Luke Gazdic happened to be dating Kyle's cousin. 'One night on FaceTime, Connor was in the background and was like, 'Do you have anyone you can set me up with?' She's like, 'Oh, my cousin. You might really like her.' They set us up on, I would say, a blind-ish date in Toronto, and that's how we met.' The relationship progressed quickly. 'We had gone on a dinner date. We saw each other next day, and then the timing worked out that he was rehabbing in Edmonton and I had a break from school so I was like, 'I'll come visit you,'' she recalled. 'After our first date, it felt like we had known each other for 10 years.' Now they have. She has been by McDavid's side for all five of his scoring titles and his three Hart Trophies as NHL MVP (2017, 2021, 2023). Kyle made the move from Toronto to Edmonton after finishing school in 2019, and launched Kyle & Co soon after. And in the summer of 2024, the couple was married in a stunning ceremony in Ontario's cottage country that earned feature treatment in Australian Vogue. More weddings are on the agenda this summer. McDavid's older brother, Cameron is getting married, and McDavid's Oilers teammate, Leon Draisaitl, is marrying actress Celeste Desjardins — a close friend of Kyle's since their high-school days in Sudbury, Ont. Kyle made that introduction, and believes the relationship has strengthened the bond between the Oilers' two best players. Last September, Draisaitl signed his own eight-year extension to stay in Edmonton. 'I know that they have their own friendship, but I think it's also because we have such a close friendship that they've gotten really close,' she said. 'It's a dream to have your best friend on the team here, and they get along so well. You can't ask for anything better than that.' Kyle, Desjardins and Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm's wife, Ida Bjornstad, also serve on the board of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, which has long supported vulnerable residents in the region and delivered youth hockey opportunities to under-represented groups. Earlier this year, Kyle also launched her new clothing brand, Sports Club Atelier. The premium sportswear label offers elevated unisex designs in limited-edition drops. The brand was born from Kyle's involvement in designing the playoff jackets for the Oilers' wives and girlfriends. 'I'm not a graphic designer, but I was starting to learn how to use my programs from back in school and generate designs,' she said. 'I was starting to work with manufacturers, so I had a little bit of knowledge, and then it just made sense to start the collection. I really saw a gap in the market.' Early signs suggest that her intuition was correct. 'I don't see it being NHL, or just hockey,' she said. 'There's a lot of opportunity with the brand.' So far, Sports Club Atelier has dropped two limited-edition collections of Oilers apparel. Several other NHL teams are coming on board this fall, and the company is also collaborating with Canadian Finals Rodeo, which will take place in Edmonton in early October. Perhaps the biggest news is a collaboration with Team Canada ahead of next February's 2026 Winter Olympics. 'The intention is to have a wide variety of offerings for people going to the Olympics and supporting Team Canada next year,' she said. 'And we're going to be in major retailers. We're chatting with major retailers right now for Team Canada stuff.' Though she hadn't started out looking to work in fashion, the field had always been of interest. 'I think, when you're creative, you're interested in everything that that inspires you creatively,' she said. 'For me, I look at fashion to inspire my interiors, everything overlaps each other. So it's natural that I would be interested in art, fashion. Anything that gets my creative mind going.' Kyle's efforts have been fully supported by her husband. In fact, McDavid made a game-changing gesture early on when he gifted his then-girlfriend with some business-coach sessions for her birthday. 'I've been working with her for four years now,' Kyle said. 'We meet three times a month, and I don't think I could open this many businesses without her guidance. I think there's a way of thinking that you need to develop when you're an entrepreneur. I'm a creative — I'm not a business mind first. So I need to train myself in how to build teams properly and how to set myself up for success and to constantly drive myself forward. I wouldn't be here, for sure, without her.' She sees parallels between her ventures and McDavid's quest to win the Stanley Cup and, next February, Olympic gold. 'We both have dreams that we're chasing, and we can relate around that,' she said. 'We both know how we need to show up for each other in those moments and how we need to support each other in order to reach our goals. It's really important to have a partner like that, who does understand and does provide support, because you need all the support you can get when he's grinding through the playoffs and I'm grinding through opening businesses.' The team at Bar Trove Just as NHL players use their summers to train and come back stronger than ever when hockey returns in the fall, Kyle will be working remotely for much of the off-season, checking in with her teams at Trove Living and Bar Trove and moving the fashion line forward. Her plate may look full, but Lauren Kyle McDavid is just getting started.
