2 firefighters taken to hospital after 3-alarm fire in Cabbagetown

Two firefighters were taken to hospital after a three-alarm blaze at a home in Cabbagetown early Monday morning.
Toronto Fire was called at 12:20 a.m. where a fire broke out at a home on Aberdeen Avenue, near Ontario Street. More than 30 fire vehicles attended the scene of the fire, which has since been knocked down.
No injuries were initially reported but Toronto Fire later said two firefighters were taken to hospital as a precaution. The cause of their injuries is not yet known.
Fire crews remain on the scene for fire watch. Toronto Fire said the cause and origin of the blaze is not clear at this time.
Three homes were damaged by the early morning fire. Residents have not been allowed to return as the residences are being assessed.
