Bollywood actress
Anushka Sharma
once found herself at the centre of intense criticism and unwarranted blame during a period when her husband, Indian cricket star
Virat Kohli
, was not performing at his best.
Many accused her of being a distraction, simply for being present at his matches. She had publicly addressed these accusations in the past with a brave response.

In a past interview, Anushka strongly addressed the negativity and defended both her presence and her partner's professionalism. The video of this old interview resurfaced on Reddit, where she defended
Virat
Kohli and other cricketers by emphasising their lifelong dedication to the sport.
She explained that since the age of eight, their lives had revolved solely around cricket and training, leaving little room for anything else apart from occasionally watching Bollywood films. Highlighting their single-minded commitment, she dismissed the notion that someone like Virat could be easily distracted or unable to manage his own career.
She questioned the logic of such criticism, stating that outsiders have no real understanding of their lives or challenges, and suggested that people should focus on managing their own affairs instead of passing baseless judgements.

Anushka about Virat's passion for game
The PK actress also highlighted the insensitivity of those questioning Virat's commitment to the game, citing a personal moment of immense pain.
'That's absurd to me. Virat went and played a game on the day his father passed away. It was hurtful that you would question, as in, saying that he has lost his mind now, some apsara has come and distracted him or something. It was something big that happened in his life, the worst thing which could happen… and he played a match that day.
So, these people don't know what our lives are or what we have done. They just have a lot of hate and they want to put it out there,' she added.
About Anushka and Virat's family life
Anushka and Virat continue to remain in the spotlight, as recent reports claimed that the couple may move to London to provide their children with a peaceful environment away from the limelight. Virat has recently announced his retirement from T20 cricket.

Nagpur's Indurkar to design Ayodhya's Ram-Sita Museum

Nagpur: In recognition of Vidarbha's cultural depth, Nagpur's Dr Vinod Narayan Indurkar, an exponent of fine arts and renowned educationist, has been appointed advisor to the Ram-Sita Museum Project in Ayodhya. The assignment aligns him with one of the most ambitious heritage and religious projects underway in India — a multi-sensory, scholarly, and experiential museum rooted in the legacy of Lord Ram and Sita. Currently serving as chairman of govt of India's Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Dr Indurkar will design the museum, banking on his decades of expertise in aesthetics, iconography, museum design, and cultural pedagogy. Talking to TOI on Monday, he said, "I feel honoured to have been assigned the responsibility of involving the best of Indian art and artists in this project. We aim to use modern technology to give visitors a world-class experience while staying rooted in Indian tradition and values. " Giving an insight into the contours of the museum, he said visitors can walk through interactive digital galleries with 3D projection-mapped Ramayana Wall and AR/VR recreations of forest life and battles. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Probably a bad dream': Stage 4 cancer at 30 and how this millennial is navigating through it CNA Read More Undo Also, smart wristbands will allow custom tours based on age, interests, and language. "I am thankful to Ram temple construction committee chairman, Nripendra Mishra, who appreciates my work and approach. He personally asked me to take up this assignment, and I accepted it with responsibility and gratitude," said Indurkar. As director of CCRT, Dr Indurkar has unparalleled access to a nationwide network of traditional and contemporary artists. "Being CCRT director, we have a list and access to artists who practice India's diverse art forms. I will be using their talent in developing this museum, from sculptors and painters to performers and digital designers," he said. In a unique vision, Dr Indurkar also plans to engage senior masters and emerging talent together. "I will involve big names in every art form and pair them with a team of young artists to assist and learn," he added. "This will not only ensure artistic excellence but also create a new generation of artists in India, a legacy in itself," he said. CM Siddaramaiah calls Banu Mushtaq ‘bold, progressive voice for Muslim women'

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah felicitated International Booker prize-winning Kannada author Banu Mushtaq and her English translator Deepa Bhasthi at a programme organised by the Kannada and Culture department on Mushtaq's translated work, 'Heart Lamp,' won the International Booker prize recently. .On the occasion, Siddaramaiah said, 'Literature has the power to bind society'..'Literature should unite, not divide us. Banu Mushtaq has brought pride to Kannada by winning the Booker Prize. This is a moment of collective pride for the entire Kannada-speaking world,' he said. .'As a bold and progressive voice for Muslim women, Banu Mushtaq has stood against orthodoxy and fulfilled the responsibility of delivering a humanistic message through her literature,' the chief minister said. .People's understanding of Kannada is incorrect, there's no language as tolerant as ours: Banu announced a Rs 10-lakh award each for Mushtaq and Bhasthi, along with government support for translating Banu Mushtaq's other works into English..A visibly moved Mushtaq said, 'Karnataka helped me grow roots, form ideas and inspired my creativity. Winning the Booker was a dream. But the encouragement I received online kept me going. This honour from the state means more to me than any award I've received.'.She emphasised Kannada's spirit of inclusivity and harmony and noted, 'No other language lives as harmoniously as Kannada'..To young writers, she said, 'Believe in your voice. This award belongs to every writer, poet, storyteller and singer in Karnataka. There are countless stories to tell — let's tell them all'..Bhasthi spoke of language as a living, evolving force..'Kannada has not been elevated by the Booker. Instead, the award has elevated the status of English and English thrives because it absorbs cultures. Let us not bend Kannada to fit English. Instead, stretch English to suit Kannada's music, tempo and accent,' she called for 'decolonisation of English,' asserting, 'No one can take away our language rights'..Bhasthi emphasised the need for continued dialogue on language, identity and translation to ensure the Booker prize recognition has lasting significance.
