Vaddiraju unveils Ambedkar statue in Singaram
Ravichandra recalled the recent installation of Ambedkar's bronze statue in his native village, Inugurthi, and called it a great privilege to now unveil another in Singaram. 'It is a matter of pride that our leader KCR built the magnificent state secretariat and named it after Dr. Ambedkar. He even urged the central government to name the new Parliament building in Delhi after Ambedkar,' the MP stated, on the occasion.
Referring to a recent incident in Lingampet, Kamareddy district, where a Dalit BRS worker was allegedly beaten by police, Ravichandra said KTR personally visited his home and dined with the family, offering them strength and solidarity.
He predicted that BRS will return to power within three years and cautioned Congress leaders, officials, and police officers to act responsibly, as power is never permanent.

Phone-Tapping Rampant Under Revanth Reddy, Alleges Opposition Leader
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader and former IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar has lodged a formal complaint with the police levelling serious allegations against Telangana's Congress government. In the complaint, he has alleged widespread phone tapping under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's administration. Praveen Kumar was among the first to complain about his phone being tapped during the previous BRS government. He has also appeared before the Special Investigation Team that is probing the alleged phone tapping. While the SIT's primary focus has been on surveillance under the former BRS government, Praveen Kumar has used the opportunity to expand the scope of the investigation. He has claimed that the present Congress government is utilizing "high-end dark web tools" to illegally intercept the communications of its own ministers, opposition leaders, and even businessmen. He has submitted a written complaint to the SIT, reportedly including video evidence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy allegedly admitting to surveillance. Praveen Kumar cited instances where Mr Reddy reportedly knew about private conversations between ministers, later confronting one of them with the details. He questioned how such information could have been accessed without illicit phone tapping. He also alleged that a journalist was reprimanded by the Chief Minister for speaking to another BRS leader, again raising suspicions of surveillance. The BRS leader also pointed to media reports suggesting that malware had been planted on ministers' devices to intercept calls and messages. He urged the SIT to summon the affected ministers and conduct forensic examinations of their phones to uncover the truth. The complaint from Praveen Kumar adds a new dimension to the already complex phone-tapping investigation in Telangana. Previously, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had stated his willingness to cooperate with the SIT if he received a notice, emphasizing that while phone tapping itself isn't illegal, strict procedures must be followed. The BRS has been vocal in demanding a High Court-monitored inquiry into the phone-tapping allegations and has called for the government to submit a sealed list to the court detailing whose phones are being tapped. They have emphasized Section 5 of the Telegraph Act, which only permits phone tapping in the interest of national security. The SIT now faces the challenging task of investigating not only the alleged phone tapping during the previous administration, but also the fresh accusations of ongoing surveillance under the current government, making the probe even more politically charged.

Rajya Sabha rocked by Opposition protests on SIR, adjourned for day
No substantial work could be taken up in the Rajya Sabha on Monday as the Opposition members walked up to the well of the House, raising slogans to demand a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) being undertaken in poll-bound Bihar and other issues. When the House met for the day, Deputy Chairperson Harivansh announced that he had received several notices for suspension of listed business to discuss matters of urgent importance under Rule 267. He rejected these notices, leading the members from Congress , Trinamool, DMK and other parties to question the move. The Opposition wanted a discussion on SIR, the detention of two nuns from the Durg Railway Station on allegedly false allegations of conversion and trafficking, and other issues. As the slogan shouting continued, the chair adjourned the House till noon. The same scenario took place at noon as Vice Chairperson Ghanshyam Tewari took up the Question Hour. The House was adjourned within minutes as the Opposition raised slogans. Opposition members shouted slogans alleging that the government is evading a discussion on key issues like SIR. Since a 16-hour discussion on Operation Sindoor is to be taken up on Tuesday, it is expected to run smoothly in the second half.

30 deaths in five years from 12 helicopter accidents, Centre tells Rajya Sabha
NEW DELHI: A total of 30 fatalities have occurred in 12 helicopter accidents across India over the past five years, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, informed the Rajya Sabha on Monday. In a written response to a query by Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, seeking details of helicopter accidents and fatalities in the last five years and the remedial actions taken by the government, Mohol submitted specific state-wise data. He stated that one accident in Chhattisgarh led to two deaths, four mishaps in Maharashtra resulted in seven deaths, and seven accidents in Uttarakhand claimed 21 lives. On the remedial measures undertaken, the Minister said, 'The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has reiterated safety norms for helicopter operations in the country including Chardham Yatra, focussing on access control, improving parking arrangements, regulating strict adherence to SOPs. The DGCA has initiated additional surveillance and safety audits of helicopter operations for the Chardham Yatra.' In a separate written reply to YSRCP MP S Niranjan Reddy on the steps taken to regulate the surge in air ticket prices during festivals and emergencies, Mohol informed the House that the DGCA has also set up a Traffic Monitoring Unit (TMU) to monitor airfares on a monthly basis. He said, 'In order to enhance the transparency in airfare, DGCA has set up Tariff Monitoring Unit (TMU) that monitors airfares on selected 78 routes on a random basis to ensure that the airlines do not charge airfares outside the range declared by them, under the provision of sub-rule (2) of Rule 135 of the Aircraft Rules 1937. This covers about 27% of the domestic traffic.' The Minister added that the government is playing the role of a facilitator by creating an enabling environment to support the growth of the sector.
